New Stan Bush album “The Ultimate”

Just released!

The Ultimate is Stan Bush’s 12th studio album and delivers his most electrifying work yet! Reuniting with “Touch” collaborator Lenny Macaluso for the powerful title anthem, The Ultimate sees Bush return with the kind of uplifting motivational rock that has become his signature. With his latest release, the veteran rocker strikes the perfect balance between his high-octane, positively-charged style and mature, emotive songcraft.

Stan Bush is best known for his song “The Touch,” made famous by Transformers: The Movie, an anthem for Transformers fans around the world, "The Touch" was released for Guitar Hero in 2009 and has been featured on NBC’s Chuck, FOX’s American Dad, Deep Silver’s Saints Row IV and in the motion picture Boogie Nights.

“The Touch was remixed by High Moon Studios in 2013 for their hit video game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The new “The Touch – Power Mix” is featured on the new album, and there’s a music video with footage from the game.

I had forgotten I had this pre-ordered until it showed in the mail Monday. Each of his last few albums has been great and they seem to just keep getting better. I haven't gotten to really listen to it more than once through so far, but its great stuff if you like his style of music :D

Mr. Bush riding the riding the current fame of the Transformers is getting kinda pathetic. Don't get me wrong, I love the 86 movie as I just watched it with my sons the other night, but it appears he never moved on......

listened to the album and I'm lovin' it.
Can't understand why Bay won't have him for the movies.

Are there any explosions in the music? If not, that'll be your answer.

CURRENT fame? The man has been doing it since the 80's. Regardless of his talent, it's quite sad he keeps trying to hold onto his 15 seconds of fame from nearly 30 years ago.

Man, haters say what they will about Stan riding on the nostalgia factor of his work on a 28 year old movie, his other (read: Non-"The Touch") stuff on his albums serves up a delightful slice of his signature 80's power ballad style music that I've always enjoyed. Keep singin', Stan and I'll keep listenin'.

Has he? I didn't follow TF fandom in the 90's to early 2000's. I though he just jumped back on the bandwagon recently, like in the last 5 years or so.

Now it is more pathetic than I previously thought.

I don't hate the man. I just think that one would move on SOMETIME after milking a one hit wonder. Not that he is the only one that ever did it, but the eighties are long over. It reminds me of the Village People milking YMCA or the like. And look at the pic of him. Its a fifty+ year old man standing like he really thinks he has the "touch". Not to mention the album/song names. The ULTIMATE. The UNSTOPPABLE.

Okay, I am usually try to just avoid conflict because obviously you can never change any one elses opinion on the internet, and I firmly believe everyone should be entitled to expressing their opinion, whatever it may be. That said, for once I can't keep my mouth shut and have to voice my own opinion. If you don't like his style of music why are you here bashing it? You stated your opinion and we received the message, no need to keep on with the negativity. Personally I like music that is positive and has an uplifting vibe to it and always enjoyed his stuff as well as rock of a similar vein. That is his style, why should he change it? Should AC/DC start doing rap/rock because its trendy? No, because that isn't their style. Should Linkin Park start doing bluegrass because they have already released albums in their own style? Should they never again release anything using any song they have used for a TF movie? No, because that is their thing. If you don't like the guy or his music, why does it upset you so much that he has released an album that you have to keep posting about how horrible he is for doing so?

So, can we move on from the matter of his fame and concentrate on the bloody album itself, please?

Thank you

Stan Bush has released a new video on the OfficialStanBush Youtube channel for the song "Thunder in Your Heart" from the album The Ultimate. The video is directed and produced by Randall Ng featuring G1 computer animation. The Optimus Prime vs. Megatron and Dinobots vs. Devastator battles are very reminiscent of the 1986 animated movie. The video has been embedded for you.

If "S.O.S. Dinobots" and "Transformers: The Movie" had a baby...

...we'd end up with the music video equivalent of a Legends mobile game event.

'Continuity'-wise, that is.

I guess Thrust tackling Optimus, then the Constructicons killing Red Alert would've thrown off the vibe.

Haha, cheesy and fun. They changed the fight between the Dinobots and Devastator (for those watching who don't know any better). Devastator is not that easily taken down... just don't put him inside a turbulent space choo choo.

Why not? They started making them back then, so why change what's work for them since?

How many more times are you going to come to a thread about a guy you apparently don't like to post how horrible a person he is for making his music? Personally I hope he makes plenty more kick ass songs. Viva la Stan Bush :BOT:

Also, Stan Bush has contributed more in the brand than just the two songs of his that were used in the movie. He also has performed live concert events at both BotCon 1997 and BotCon 2007, and has had his "Til All Are One" song as the end credits theme for the War for Cybertron video game, as well as his Power Mix version of "The Touch" as the end credits theme for Fall of Cybertron.

I haven't heard this album yet, but I think Stan Bush is a talented guy and look forward to hearing it.

I can understand some of the ugly sentiment regarding him, but the fact that he even had some semi-hits on which to hang his hat on is an accomplishment. So, while I'm sure that when he was learning to play music he didn't dream of becoming the de-facto musician for a line of toys, it's better than 99% of struggling musicians out there.

I'm sure most people here would hang on to whatever they could as well if they had the chance.
