Why am I playing this again? Just 'cause!

2!

Blew up a ton of crap, did the first three Stronghold missions, then met Sheldon. Now back to blowing crap up.

So what's the deal? I had like, 6-7 more missions left when I beat the game, why didn't they appear? I figured you of all people would know.

You know why they didn't appear?

Just 'cause!

...No I honestly have no idea.

Beat the campaign. As much as I didn't want to do it, Teleport got abused a lot to skip ahead. I'm also reminded how much I HATE Watchers.

Anyways. That final boss. Dear Primus, that was difficult to do alone.

Probably going to do a New Game Plus run through, as there's a couple spells and dead moose I didn't find.

Mass Effect

I stopped playing it. I'm in the middle of moving. Again.

Shadow of The Closossus

I got this game for $20 on PSN last night. Well, here's the thing. I got $60 for my birhday. So I spent it on DLC for Transformers: FoC, Mass Effect, and with some extra money I had (not birthday money) I bought all of the DLC for Mass Effect 3s story. So I got a message from "SEC" saying that I get $10 for spending $50. I didn't spend $100 (or maybe I did. I don't know...) but I got $20 from them so I bought SoTC.

Anyway. I started it today at 3 p.m. and beat it at 10 p.m. It was short but still worth the playthrough because it's pretty good. I could've gotten Playstation Plus for $18 and downloaded Demon Souls but I'm not regretting my decision. SoTC is a PS2 classic.

First time I beat the King in Yellow I did so solo. Wasn't hard, I stood off to the side, healed as necessary, and also blasted him with my strongest beam attack.

They patched the living hell out of that fight, though.

I have an issue with Shadow of the Colossus. Yes, it's big, yes, it's beautiful, yes, it plays and handles wonderfully. My problem is its use of minimalism. It's supposed to be the game's strength, but it bugs me; what's the point of an open world if you aren't going to fill it with something? You can go exploring, but they never give you a reason to, no incentive or reward, just more scenery, and that's something you'll get plenty just just getting to the Colossi themselves.

Short version: It was fun, but the minimalism isn't doing it any favors.

Just Cause 2:
Now this is an open world. Gigantic, beautifully detailed, ready to light up like the Fourth of July, and never, ever without something to keep you busy.

Did two of the second set of Stronghold Missions. Between that and a bunch of towns and bases I...uh..."liberated" (Why? Just 'cause!) I got enough Chaos to start the next Agency mission, to save an Agency asset from the bad guys...by blowing up their base and also fighting a bunch of ninjas.

Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge (Game Boy)

Finally succeeded in finishing Cut Man's Stage, No-Damage Buster-Only, and recorded it. Removing the flinching does make him harder, lemme tell you. And I'm really hating the Big Eyes of this game :BOOM:

At least the first stages are done Perfect. Now comes the nightmare that is Wily Castle. Wish me luck.

Shadow of the Collosus DOES reward exploration though. From finding and riding Loki all the way to the shrine atop the tower (DONT EAT THE SHRINE'S FRUIT!) to fruit trees, lizards, scenery, and most importantly, the Collosi themselves. Yeah, its empty. But its a cursed forbidden land, its suppoed to be!

Arkahm City
Beat it, and hell no I wont put this controller down!
Also got the Sinestro Corp Batsuit 8)
Hey Bane, sup? Oh Titan you dont say! Well, lemme just go solve a hundred riddler puzzles and rescue like 6 hostages and track down deadshot first!

There is ALOT to do in this game... And its just..just so FUN! I'm addicted. Its been awhile since a game's done this to me...

So far Ive beaten
The Mad Hatter
Zsasz
Bane
Deadshot
Twoface (Catwoman)
Rescued Nora
Rescued 3 Riddler hostages
Rescued several Political Prisoners.

I have so many more interrogations to perform, riddles to solve, and that mysterious guy who's watching me, Ive found him 3 times, wonder who he is? Red Hood maybe?

So much to do...

Just because there's a good excuse, doesn't make it a good design choice. You have to wonder how someone could suggest "A game with a bunch of boss fights and nothing else" and then get that game made.

It was an amazingly fun game...but Christ that emptiness is painful. Just a very pretty giant waste of space.

Azrael. He was Batman for a short while after Bane broke Bruce's spine in Knightfall. It was terrible.

Yeah, its one of those things you tell yourself to deal with it. I find the emptiness more eerie than anything, and to that end it sort of works in the game's favor. Like, its a giant empty land, but somewhere out in that emptiness there's a beast the size of a mountain, and the answer to all my problems.

As for Azrael, Now see, I never knew that, explains the arm spikes though.
I was wondering, is it worth it to hunt down all these comics? Or do the cartoons explain all this just as good? I really want to know more, and I need to know were to start. So are the cartoons a safe bet?

Everything I know, I learned from the DCAU, the other shows and cartoons, movies, some of the better games, TV Tropes, and Wikipedia. You would be surprised what someone can learn about Batman without ever reading a comic.

Have I ever told you guys my little sister is a massive idiot? And that her idiocy, through no actions on my part, almost consistently pay off for me? Case in point:

The Walking Dead:
She came over one day and bought this on PS3. The season pass, too, probably without even realizing it. More to the point, the other day I realized she bought this on my PS3 using my account. In a way that means she can't access it from any other PS3 without my say-so.

I'd feel bad, but she's a terrible human being, so I find it funny instead.

It's...actually really cool. I'm not into the Walking Dead at all (My dad and sister are, though) but I'm really digging this game so far. Turns out, point-and-click games really can work on consoles.

Finished up episode 1, just survived the bandit raid in episode 2.

Star Trek Online:
My KDF officer is level 46, and just finished the Cardassian Struggle season. Managed to get a sweet new ship out of a lockbox; a Mirror Universe Vo'quv carrier. Who needs a turn rate when I can spawn a couple of Birds-of-Prey and a wing of fighters to do battle for me?

Transformers Prime
Beat it. Fun gameplay, every character is unique, and the dialogue was a treat. Beating Transformers Prime is a fun way to waste your day. I love how I can smack Megatron around as Arcee.

Skyward Sword
Just lost Zelda and got the Godess Sword or Skyward Sword or whatever its called. Is Phi like, an AI or something? Seriously. Fun game so far though, loving the character personality more than Twighlight Princess so far., I hope it continues to outshine Twighlight Princess.

So, that sail Zelda gave me. Same sail from Windwaker?

Goddess Sword. Well, technically it's the Master Sword, but you'll cross that bridge later on.

She's meant to act like one, at least. It's Fi, by the way.

It...well it's subjective. For me, it didn't manage to beat out Twilight Princess, but it was still really good.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

I played the campaigne. It was a fun game especially the level where you're by yourself to sneak into the Russian prison to rescue the Russian president. And I liked the gunsmith thing too. If companies start applying the gunsmith thing to more games, I wouldn't mind it at all.

Skyward Sword

Beat the Skyview Temple (F*cking Skulltulas) and beat Ghirahim for the first time. Getting a Freeza vibe...

Anyway, I found Skyloft's "Monster" and have landed in Eiden. Love how its all from Twilight Princess. I wonder if its scientifically possible for the land to evolve constantly and shift enough to create the landmarks and so on we see in games that take place later? I mean it DOES. Eiden Volcano is Death Mountain in later games, and Dragonroost Island in Windwaker, right?
Its fun to think about...

Also, Constant unbreakable floor of clouds accept certain light beams that hold open holes.

Blue skies when on the ground.....

If Castlevania can do it, why not Hyrule? Also Earth itself does that as well. Like, right now. Just, you know, very, very slowly.

If you're wondering how he eats and breaths
And other science facts
repeat to yourself "It's just a show
I should really just relax."

Deus Ex: Human Revolution:
Blew up the Shipping Office in Hengsha, then got into the stasis pod whatchamacallit. Then, loaded up the Missing Link DLC. Picked up the retinal aug, now I have to take it to Quinn so he can readjust it.

So it's EL-din? I always read it Eidin.
But yeah, thats what I was going for with the whole geographical thing. Each Zelda game (with a few exceptions) takes place thousands of years before or after the next, so its totally possible. Wich is awesome.

The issue, though, is Ocarina is Time, which is firmly sandwiched between Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess, and also doesn't use those names for the provinces.

Is the story for the game good? And have you read any of the Injustice comics? I wanna read the comics before I start watching the story on Youtube. I'd get the game but from past experience from the last Mortal Kombat game and the Tekkens, I'm not good at fighting games when you have an opportunity to juggle people. I don't like games like that because 1. I suck at them and 2. I get juggled all the time and it's like, "How do I f***ing fight back?" I know there's the pause when your health gets half way down but oh look, someone pulled off a sucker punch and I'm being juggled again. :-x

Sorry for the rant. back to my question. Is the story for the game good?

Gears Of War: Judgement

I picked up Gear of War: Judgement about a month ago I thought it was a decent. The ncampaign is pretty good, but the MP is mediocre compared to the other gears games but overall I think its about a 7/10.

Poker Night 2:
After the game came out, I can confirm that, yes, a certain beloved character does feature a new voice actor. I'm sorry to admit, but...

William Kasten is not playing Max in this.

Also the guy with the shotgun, what's his name. Rage, fanboys, rage for me!

Truth be told, ill-advised changes in voice actors aside, the game itself is pretty sweet compared to the first. The banter is stronger than ever, featuring increased interaction, even GLaDOS gets in on it, as Max, despite not being a player. (He was apparently banned from the table for eating the poker chips, but still takes part in banter from time-to-time. Also he gives Claptrap a wet willy that doesn't work out for either of them)

And Omaha is actually pretty fun when you realize that no, you can't use more than two of the cards in your hand. (And yes, everyone unfamiliar with Omaha raged about this before they were told the rules; I raged at first, but I figured out the rules myself)

Right now I've got everything but the Portal-themed deck and table, as far as progress goes.

Brock: "I must not fear, fear is the mind-killer, fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration..." *A few rounds of betting later, after scaring everyone else off the pot.* "Fear's a bitch, isn't it?"
