Transformers War For Cybertron: Extended Trailer on Tuesday

The coming Tuesday, January 12th, video game website IGN will receive an extended trailer of the soon coming Transformers War for Cybertron game, slated for release this summer. To view two screen caps and commentary for the coming trailer,

January 8, 2010 - It's not often that we tease trailers prior to their debut on IGN, but
Transformers: War for Cybertron is an exception. That's because I'm a giant Transformers nerd. When I saw the two-minute trailer, I got a little choked up. Though it doesn't show off the gameplay, the lengthy trailer certainly gives fans reasons to get hyped.
The trailer, which debuts on IGN Tuesday, January 12 at 9am PST, reveals a handful of Decepticons and Autobots battling for control of Cybertron. For every Autobot shown there's an appropriate Decepticon counterpart, which means as soon as Optimus Prime shows up on the scene, Megatron does too. And should one of the more massive Autobots make an appearance, well, expect something big from the Decepticons to match up.
This doesn't look like a cheap cash-in on a movie franchise. This trailer shows there are definitely some fans working on the project. Along with the trailer, we'll have details of the game straight from developer
High Moon Studios.

GREAT! now hears hoping we can get it for the PC, cause I HATE consoles.... (the controllers, I have never found a console control since the n64 that I have liked)

I've been following the {url=www.Transformersgame.com]Transformersgame.com[/url] site pretty closely looking for more big info.
So far the only real think it's shown is a very small clip of Bumblebee from behind and a big 'splosion on Cybertron.
I think there is a new one so I'll check that out right now...

Sounds cool, I can't wait until the game actually comes out.
It's cool how they kinda fused the G1 and movie looks of the Transformers.

I agree 100%, it makes for a unique look that, so far, I really enjoy. Lets hope that we get some figs outta this too!

For anyone that doesn't know omega supreme oppossite will be devastator this has been confirmed by high moon according to G4 t.v.'s the feed. What we don't know is will we be able to play the individual constructicons.

I can't help but look at a lot of these character designs (especially Prime and Megatron) and think that this was originally based on the 'Animated' property. It makes some sense...development probably started before Season 3 even aired. Once the series was canceled, they probably re-skinned the game.
I'm a video game artist, so it wouldn't be the first time a game had to change its look in mid-stream.

I COMPLETELY AGREE! i just bought animated cybertron prime and made him a face plate....in robot mode, its the same design. wheels on the back shoulders giant AXE.The GAME version of prime's ALT FORM resembles WAR WITHIN though. Which I feel is great. Oh and Animated megatron & Gametron are almost the exact same guy. lookin fwd to the toys though.

That trailer was EPIC beyond recognition! Peter Cullen is Prime once more!
Megatron's voice is okay, but he still looks cool. Looks like it'll be an awesome game, can't wait to see some gameplay!

It sounds like Neil Kaplan is doing Megatron's voice for this one. It sounds remarkably similar to his version of Long Haul from Revenge of the Fallen. Interesting...
Trypticon looks freaking awesome. That's gonna be fun to take him and Omega Supreme down
