I want Ironworks so bad. I hope he is the first of several of the Micromaster bases to come out.

The more I see, the more I like.

Fingers crossed we'll get other Micromaster bases like this (Hot House, Greasepit, Airwave...).

Way better than repaints of other figures!

Will the base parts also fit onto other transformers like the Brunte and company?

Yes and no? Depends on exactly what you mean. They have 5mm pegs and holes, so they can certainly be be used the same was as other weaponizers and armor up regular deluxe/voyager/leader figures. But the ramp connectors will only work with the newer style connectors found so far on Siege Omega Supreme and Astrotrain and Earthfall Optimus and Grapple (sort of).

For Grapple, people pointed out that he has 1/2 of a connector on his grapple/claw. It just dawned on me that you can use Grapple to "build" Ironworks :michaelbay:

I also think that Ironworks can lend his arm to other bots as well

I hope the top has a port for Grapple's claw to help replicate the G1 TOy's radar dish

I think is really possible, because of the 5 mm port in ;)

You could always purchase a Cyberverse Spark Armor Shockwave, take and repaint his solar panels to use as those parts. It'll be four instead of three but it'll work in a pinch.

*EDIT* No sooner do I click submit then go onto Facebook do I see Prize Inside! from Shapeways already designed them. That really was quick.

I'd want Greasepit's Petrol Station next as well as it's the only other one I had/still have. Then of course Hothouse's Fire Station and Airwave's Airport as I never had the originals and would greatly appreciate having updates to them. Especially with robot modes of their own.

Airwave, for 2 reasons. I have the original (needs some TLC) gifted by my grandmother, and his Autobot counterpart Overair is in the Micromaster 10-pack like Irontread is for Ironworks. I think he is next, actually.

I'm curious to see if the sections will attach to other figures like SixGun and Brunt did for the Siege figures. A combination of those could result in some seriously badass combinations.

I dig it. I'd like to see the different ways it could interact with omega in iron's city, bot, and armor modes

The more I think about it, I appreciate how Weaponizers have been used as a *catch all* for a lot of the oddities in TF over the past year, and coming into its second year. First used as releases for some of the Titans smaller components, then for Powerdashers, now as re visualizations of Micromaster Stations, there is a lot of potential. (I see some calling them bases, which is a larger item such as Countdown, see paragraph 4 ;) )

The word "all" in catch all being the empirical term however. We will be getting *all* three Powerdashers through the Selects Line and Amazon. There is still at least one Titan component outstanding (Fasttrack), which many including myself assume we will get, but perhaps not.

It seems likely, but unfortunately Hasbro has also been known to leave things unfinished. We only got 8 of the 1513 Primes as standard releases with Pretender Shells for PotP.

Also, I think the idea of releasing Countdown along with Omega Supreme was pretty ingenious, kill 2 birds with one BIG ROCKET ;) . But in looking at other 89/90 Micromaster bases, one wonders how they could be re imagined in this modern era? Who could they be partnered with?

I suspect that, for 'simmetry' we might see a Micromaster with this year's very likely Decepticon Titan (who, by elimination MUST be Scorponok). Now who exactly I don't know.

That was my thought also...but Skyhopper and Skystalker dont really share anything overtly with Scorponok....though....the Anti-Aircraft Base does share some of Scorponoks color palette..

I believe if in 2020 we do get Scorponok, he will have the headmaster gimmick since Apeface will still have it when he's released later this year. BUT!!! Like Metroplex and Trypticon he will come with a deluxe to attach to. I bet that deluxe will somehow convert into the full size head part and follow the micromaster station play pattern to form a station/throne for Scorponoks base mode!

While I like these reveals and am excited to see where the line goes from here, I can’t help but feel disappointed that we’ve moved away from Cybertron too quickly. One line with Cybertronian alt modes is too few. How many G1 vehicle mode refreshes do we need? I loved the Siege idea of a similar, but futuristic, take on the alt modes of the characters we love. So many missed opportunities:

If three lines of Cybertronian vehicles were too many (and I’d argue no for that), why not save the Earthrise plot for the end? I’m sure I’m the minority here, but why not Siege, Exodus, then Earthrise? I hope this isn’t the last of Cybertron.

I confess - the notion that these figures could all combine into a massive playset that could hook into Titan figures like Omega Supreme is... of interest.

I don’t think we have seen the last of cybertron modes. I think they had to postpone bee because of all the bee movie stuff. They also can’t have too many figures if the same color in the same wave. I’m guessing just like the random combiners and headmasters we are still getting, there will be more mixed in.
