On soundwave I do hope the diecast is replaced with plastic. Normally I wouldn't ask for something like that but since those pieces end up on the bottom of his feet there's a greater chance for scuffing. Hopefully we do get the second chest piece, energon cube, and Megatron gun but it won't be a deal breaker.

The yellow visor doesnt bother me on soundwave. glad i decided to wait for a hasbro release. getting all 5 cassettes is a huge bonus.

Will more than likely get acid storm as well, really hope for the coneheads soon.

On Soundwave, personally, I prefer yellow eyes. I get the whole "but... but... but... Cartoon accuracy" argument, but I think Yellow just looks better on him.

As far as Acid Storm is concerned, I think the paint scheme looks fantastic. And, as someone who lives in the Midwest United States, camo is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay way way overdone here, and I am not a big fan. Usually. This, however, looks awesome. If there was some guarantee that the other seekers would see a U.S. release with this mold, I would probably do it.

For all of you discouraged about the yellow visor, there is a thin enough gap between the mask and visor for you to easily custom cut some thin red plastic, or even a saran wrap, and slip it in. Translucent might be a little more difficult, being that his visor would end up orange, but if youre fine with an opaque red visor, you could probably use a notebook with a red plastic cover, and cut one out. Dont give up on him! Hes a GREAT toy!!!

*AHEM* Considering this deco makes Soundwave accurate to not only the original toy, but the UK comics as well, Hasbro technically kept this more G1 than the takara MP, which was only accurate to the G1 cartoon. The abbreviations relevant to his kids, therefore, go without saying. ;)

Unless they worked in an eye-color-change feature, like MP Grimlock? Yeah, didn't think so. This is gonna' force me to get the Takara version down the road as well, since I love Soundwave so.

Im good with Soundwave. I was referring to Acid Storm's paint scheme. MP is supposed to be G1 accurate. Not this crappy neo paint job. I can understand the classics mold, but why screw up the MP ? CHMS got the colors right...

Oh, sorry! I guess I was thrown off by the two MP sets ending up in the same thread. As evidenced by my previous post, I actually happen to agree with you wholeheartedly on Acid Storm, so I kinda' feel like an ass for letting my antiGeeWunner-sense misfire like that. Damn, I even mentioned him glowing with radioactivity, and you had a pic of just that! Rock on, sir.

Maybe Takara will actually do a show-accurate Acid Storm someday with that MP-11 mold, but until then, those glorious knock-offs will stand proud and ironic as the only G1-accurate cartoon generic seekers.

That is still just a mock up, so who knows what color eyes will be on the shelves.

As for Acid Storm, my two sons said he looks like, and I quote "puke-a-tron".

I don't hate it, but I am not spending 75 bucks on it.

I will have Soundwave and his minions, oh yes!

I may have the Takara version of Soundwave, but this guy is still as cool as I thought he would be. And 5 cassettes, ALL TOGETHER!?!?!?!?!?!?!? OMG!!!!! I CANNOT EVEN WAIT FOR THIS GUY TO COME!!!!!! And the coolest part is:He has the toy-accurate yellow visor!

Aid Storm may not be as expected as I thought he would be, but still, one of the greatest additions to give some love to the Rare Seeker! ;)

And unfortunately, MP-10 is not on sale at Toys R Us anymore, making those who didn't get him sad. :-( So does anyone have any directions to any Toys R Us stores near by Chicago that still have him, or are there any stores in places (like Chinatown) or discount stores have him??? Please, give me any info!

I don't think there are any TRUs in the Chicago area that still have MP-10, at least not the ones by me on the Northwest side around Schaumburg, Niles, etc.

Hasbro release = TRU exclusive = no way I'll be able to get my hands on Acidstorm, since the local TRU won't bring them in.

Soundwave and company look fantastic, but... dammit, they used a yellow visor. :BANG_HEAD:

Acid Storm is an instant buy for me. It appears they meshed the spring-fall/forest patterns of both the U.S Army and the U.S Marine BDUs for his deco.

From what I can tell from the lettering on his canopy side, all I can make out is "SSGT", short for "Staff Sergeant", a rank in the Army, Air Force, and the Marine Corps. In other words: that makes me VERY pleased.

Quite frankly I don't see why everyone is complaining, when the choice of colors for these 2 could be seen a mile away. Looking back on pretty much every single Masterpiece release done by Hasbro they almost garunteeably go for TOY ACCURACY while Takara goes for the show accuracy rout.

With all that said it still begs the one question of which one is Rumble and which is Frenzy, since Hasbro seems to lean more toward RIBFIR, but their original toys were FIBRIR. Ultimately this wasn't a problem for the Takara version since they never mixed it up, but Hasbro can never be settled on the matter...

Yeah, I know I just sparked an unnecessary debate, but can't be any worse than arguing about Soundwave's eye color...

I like the look of Acid Storm, and especially the green eyes. This all plays well into the idea of him being one of Shockwaves (Dr. Frankenstein) seekers.

No kidding! TF fans are so hard to please.

I'm just worried about the price (especially since there will be 5 cassettes in the set)...& finding any at TRU.

Well, if you right click on the images, FIBRIR.

Ah, so they are! Yellow-visored Soundwave implies Marvel continuity anyway, so even if the packaging ends up stating RIBFIR, it would imply that the "story" behind this Hasbro 6-pack involves Soundwave teaming up with cassettes from alternate realities.

And still, comic loyalist that I am...I honestly wish that one side of the pond had given us a blue Rumble with the purple torso and head he frequently sported in the cartoon, so we could just say that one is cartoon Rumble, and the one with more toy-accurate 2 shades of blue is comic Frenzy. There, I said it, and I'd love some story to someday depict them thus in the same universe just to piss everyone off.

No, Marvel's frequent use of dark blue for Rumble's black doesn't count!...sweet Primus, I might have just found a way to make the never ending argument even worse...

Oh yeah, here's hoping Hasbro does the right thing and makes it a 7-pack with the inclusion of gun-mode Megatron!

I actually like the yellow eyes instead of the red, still surprised Has/Tak didn't work in a revolving eye gimmick like they did with MP Grimlock.

I'll pass on Acid Storm, already have too many MP Seekers as it is.

Does this mean Takara will eventually release Acid Storm as well?

Also, I notice Hasbro ravage is missing some paint apps on his front shoulder. Also his knees and joints on the back legs seem to use black colored plastic, whereas Takara uses gray.

Hasblow, you cheap ****!

These images are renders and not the final product images. Red, yellow, pink eyes who knows. The same is true for the differences between the Rmb and Frz. Coloring and paint do not look final due to the differences, I would guess all figured will have a Decpticon logo. Anoth point worth mentioning is the TT version as some silver paint apps on SW's back to bring out the details. I would assume that this will be missing from the Hasbro version, considering all the silver paint that was left off of MP 10's trailer for the US release. In the end we will all have to wait and see what the final product looks like. No matter what the color I would not count on this guy being a shelf warmer.

Well I have to say good luck to those trying to get this from TRU! I predict what happened with the MP-10 will happen with Soundwave. (IE Low Stock, Scalpers charging insane prices for Soundwave.) Im happy with the Takara version and I was happy when I preordered it back in August.

I promise not to laugh too hard when people complain on how hard it is to get Soundwave. (Maybe)

I'm not so sure about that...Yes in the beginning there is usually a rush to get them and it's hard to find , but after a month or so MP-10 was easily found in most stores.
