I know this has probably been said already...

But this sticker sheet is basically the definition of Lawful Evil.

...Just needed to get that out of my system.

Quick question just so this post has an actual point, the hips on mine seem fine, but just to be sure, about how hard should they be to move?

Mine have very heavy clicks. the legs are still good, but I still worry about it. Those are some massive ratchets

Thanks. I was wondering if I was just being paranoid, but it's nice to know that if I am, at least I'm not alone.

Oh you're not alone. I'm terrified to break him, and I won't stop worrying until he does break, or until he is no longer in my possession/I'm dead

Not sure, but I heard the hip issue was only in earlier releases. Is there a way to tell just from the box?

That's why I've raising this issue since this was first reported. Could it be that the reason for the veeeeeeeeeery low price is because they are the first releases? :???:

Allegedly, anything with a batch code higher than a certain number will be the "fixed" version without the hip ratchet flaws. I'm not sure exactly what that magic batch number is, though, so you'll have to do a bit of sleuthing on the internet. The batch code is always engraved into (note: not printed, but etched into the carboard) the box somewhere, usually around where you find a lot of the "legalease" printed.

Pretty sure the rather low price is just because of "THIS TOY THE SIZE OF A HOUSE IS STILL SITTING ON THE SHELVES! MAKE IT MOVE ALREADY!" :-D

Darn right, he's huge. Slightly shorter than but of equal mass to TR Fort Max. 8-)

And as a bonus, he's coincidentally just the right height to be a match for a certain other villainous mecha kaiju (Disclaimer's note: Not my pic):

Holy crap Serpentera is tall.

I just got Trypticon in today, pics soon.

A #1 Philips has a sharper point on the tip than a #2
I've found as a screwhead gets stripped the head goes from a 1 to a 2

PSA alert regarding Titan class Trypticon:

I had to put mine away in a storage been awhile ago, in which I had it laying down on its right side. Yesterday, I took it out of the bin to finally put it back on display... and his right arm just fell right off. The pin that connects the arm joint to the side of his body just came off.

I'm guessing there was some pressure applied to the area surrounding the pin, which loosened it from the hole that it uses to keep the arm joint attached to the body.

I managed to find the fallen pin and force it back into the hole, but I can't be certain if I got it all the way back in, and now I have to be really careful whenever moving Trypticon's right arm.

Concerning, but also odd. I wonder if maybe the area somehow got warmed during storage. I assume we're talking about the flathead pin for the shoulder rotation joint?

I haven't had any issues with my Trypticon, but he lives under my desk where I can keep an eye on him so idk.

Your digging this thread up reminds me I forgot to post pictures in it like I said I would (although considering what I was going through at the time...)
