Importing the toy will no doubt cost more than U.S. retail, but you can guarantee it will be far less expensive than paying scalper prices on the secondary market.

I saw that but couldn't find a link to purchase/preorder

It's an EX so it'll almost certainly be a Takara Tomy Mall exclusive. This past week was Golden Week (a week long Japanese holiday) so I wouldn't expect pre-orders until Monday at the earliest.

Personally I'm more interested in seeing if they get Galaxy Shuttle since Walmart botched that release so badly in the US.

Both were bad in there own right.

Galaxy Shuttle never showed up at US Retail, but at least could be pre-ordered on Walmarts website as well as Hasbro Pulse (My pre-order with Walmart shipped relatively incident free).

Whereas Cosmos only showed up at U.S. retail in extremely limited quantities, there was no functional way to order on Pulse, or on Walmarts website.

I'm just trying to assist others. Personally I dont need/want a cosmos in my collection, but I get why he is so popular. Heck I honestly feel like I won the lottery in that I was actually able to find a single G2 Shadowstrip at a local Walmart one time. Never saw Cosmos or Crasher.

Cosmos was available online, D-Max even provided proof of his pre-order.

Cosmos was short packed and highly sought after so he sold out pretty much instantly, but he was available to order online. So Cosmos had his entire online and in store stock sell out completely while Galaxy Shuttle was only available in small quantities online and his entire US retail stock is out there in limbo somewhere.

Galaxy Shuttle is globally available, to the point where he is available at cost on eBay from international sellers. I doubt it would be cheaper to get the takara release

I'm still looking for a Crasher at normal retail price.

Unless Walmart.ca surprise restock the thing, I know it will never happen.

We've been over this before, there hasn't been a single one sold at cost since we realized Walmart was stiffing us on the release. Nearly all of the BIN ones on eBay right now surpass $125 after shipping, the majority are $150+ and there's only one action that's currently at $100 with 19 hours to go. Looking at sold listings over the past month only two sold around $85, the rest have been $100+ but usually well above that. I'm sure I can do better than that buying directly from TTM using a shipping service. I'd rather go without than pay more than double for what's supposed to be a retail release.

By at cost I mean including global shipping. I can go to the store right now and get you a galaxy shuttle and ship it to you and my total cost would be between 100 and 125 USD.

And there is no way that's an acceptable alternative when he would have cost us $55 in stores. Walmart has really screwed us over on this one and there's no REALISTIC option to get one for US fans without paying ridiculous, excessive amounts for it.

If it's sold as a regular retail figure then it definitely would, but if it's sold as a TTM exclusive, as it's more likely to do, the only way it could possibly be reasonable is if BBTS imports it at a more reasonable price, say $80, assuming Japan even gets them.

Though ideally Walmart would just take the rest of their stock and stick them online and not some small discount store like Ollie's or Ross that most of us don't have access to.

That's the most likely scenario.
Plus they would sell at 20$ and be insta-scalped to add insult to injury.

Same. Cosmos I can kind of understand after hearing about the case pack ratio and distribution F*up for the U.S. market.

Crasher on the other hand was in a second wave and seemed to suffer the same issues as Cosmos. Neither one was available for online orders for very long at all, and I never saw either in store.

Now Cosmos was a little more of a priority for me as a G1 fan as I wasn't that big into Gobots, so I didn't mind paying extra for him. But I'd still like to get get Crasher as I really liked the looks of the bot and was one of the only characters I kind of liked in the show. I'm just not interested enough to pay more than retail for this particular bot.

I was glad i was able to get all of the Velocitron figures from Pulse at retail.

It was thanks to Shadowstrip that I decided to sell my G1 Legacy Menasor and hold out for the full G2 package.

Crasher I have only kept because I like her with Bug Bite and Road Ranger.

Hauler proved to be a surprise favorite, and Scourge a surprise disappointment, he is probably my 2nd least favorite of the group after Crasher.

Cosmos is adorable, and thanks to him, I have a checkered flag, and my T30 Cosmos got to go to the Cyberverse shelf with Meteorfire.

Japan Releases for Velocitron Galaxy Shuttle, Crasher and Shadowstrip Confirmed

Good news for those looking for other options for getting the hard to find Velocitron releases from wave 2. Takara has revealed that on June 5th, new preorders will go up. Those include MP Hoist, premium deco Kingdom toys and Velocitron Crasher, Shadowstrip and Galaxy Shuttle. It is unknown if they will be exclusive or not. If they are not exclusive, it could be as simple as ordering them from Amazon Japan. If they are exclusive, we'll see if any western collectible site will import them and if they will end up being viable cheaper options.

But still, it means there will be more of these toys out there. This info comes from Takara's Twitter page.

I hope they're easier to pick up. I was lucky enough to see Crasher a few times at U.S. retail (same with G2 Dragstrip), but never did see Galaxy Shuttle, not even for preorder on Walmart's website or Pulse.

This is good news for those who missed out on Crasher the first time, I'm still hoping Hasbro or Takara plan on doing something with that Hot Rod repaint, the colours look so much nicer than the original in my opinion.

I managed to get a Galaxy Shuttle from Walmart.com as they did indeed go up for preorder there despite what people are saying. I just want one or two more and didn't have them money then. I was hoping to find them in store at some point to get more but we all know that never happened. So it's nice we got another shot at him.

I wasn't able to ever get Shadowstrip or Crasher though. I think I seen them on Pulse for a minute but either didn't have the money or they were in that weird limbo where the site says it's in stock until you go to check out with them in which case, they're sold out. But they stay "in stock" for hours before being marked as sold out. I never found them in store in my area. I want at least two of each.

I have customs in mind and it just sucks that I wasn't able to find any more Galaxy Shuttle or any at all of Shadowstrip and Crasher.

I just need Galaxy Shuttle to complete the set so I hope we get a good price. Most likely it'll be a Takara Tomy Mall exclusive again so hopefully someone does import them.

I hope everyone who wants them gets them. I was fortunate I guess that my Walmart online pre-order for Galaxy Shuttle was fulfilled without incident, and I got G2 Dragstrip, the one and only time I saw one at a Walmart I dont frequent. I Never saw Crasher, but fortunately she wasn't on my want list.

Beware however, my Galaxy Shuttle is a floppy mess the knees cant support the weight of the toy. Hopefully it was just a case of YMMV.

I only hope that when the G2 Universe line starts to show up, that any additional G2 Stunticons are easier to obtain.

I'd like a chance to get Crasher, and I don't plan to pay $60 and up for it!

I'm curious though, why they are tentivly releasing them in the Asian market when it was the U.S. market that had limited availability? When I look at listings on ebay about half of them are from China. IMO more Exclusives simply mean continued higher prices.

This is the release for Japan, who haven't gotten these toys yet at all.
