Speaking of Wheeljack, you can give TFP Wheeljack his Generations shoulder rocket and if you want to, attach his wrenches to his back.

Since that's a C-Joint clip, you can also give him the G1 shoulder rocket, which actually fires (admittedly, not well unless you swap out the spring for one outta a clicker pen or something).

Evasion Prime, who I shall now refer to as AOE Bendy Prime, has articulated knee armor. You can flex it ever so slightly out.

What? You never noticed the arm guns? I thought they were pretty obvious. They are even advertized on the box and are featured in every reviews.

I'm with you on the wings though. Took me a while to find out that extra transformation step.

I have a sad fact for you. I am one of the people that reviewed him and mentioned those damn guns. I forgot about them though.

Masterpiece Megs' Energon mace is a pretty good fit for Classics Megs, especislly if you shorten the chain.

The leftover chain is also useful for giving Mania King some much needed bling!

I found something on Generations Rhinox. That you can open his mouth using a hinge on the upper jaw. That way it doesn't break the sculpt.

Snarl's fin-ax-blade thing hold very well under is tail/butt. It look nice and it's a nice unentended storage space!

I realised it from the start because that damn fin refuse to stay on the intended top space among the other fins. So, I improvised and noticed right away that it worked.

Gens Sky-Byte canstand on his own tail, unaided and unmodded:

I bought the figure because of that (was going to get him a microphone), but it doesn't remotely work on mine. :-(

I'm considering taking him back, but wondered if it was possible there was something odd you did with transforming his tail?

On mine, the elbow joint doesn't come close to supporting his weight, and even if it did, his tail spins too readily to keep him lined up, and even it didn't, the lateral tail fins seem like they'd be too close together to keep him from falling to one side or the other.

I just realized after all of these years that the backpacks on the Decepticon Monster Pretenders from 1989 are reversible. I always thought that the backpacks were intended to go on with the accessory attachments facing outward. However, if you reverse the backpack so that it is "flat" on the outside, each backpack has a different pattern on it indicative of which creature it belongs to (i.e. rocky, scales, etc).

Another thing about Wheeljack -now, this is kind of cheating since I figured it out the first time I transformed him- is that, while it can be a bit stiff, it is fully possible to slide his feet out all the way so that they lock the legs in place. Some of the reviews I've seen have failed to work this out and then bashed him for not having legs that lock.

A flying car? How droll. :CON:

I got that joke! ;)

Centuritron Battle-ship mode (credit belongs to OCProwl):

The tank and jet connect like they do for gestalt mode, and the copter is connected to the tank via the double-barrel gun. The rest is a bit fiddly, nothing else snaps together, but you can use the copter and jet's legs and the copter tail to hold it all together fairly securely.

This is not much of a big deal but after hearing this in all reviews, I thought, hey why not? It has been said countless times that Generations Sky byte is made in a way that always makes him look down (since his head is not on a ball joint). However, his feet are very wide and offer great balance. I have found that this mold lets you curve his spine as you like, making it easy to have these nice poses resulting in him looking straight in front of him. It results in this great animal and loose pose that fits very well with this predator.

Image

I will let you guess where I figured this out.
