If they made a fort max with a deluxe Cerebros headmaster, that thing would be huge!

Yeah, it always bothered me how Fort Max and Scorponok are even heigh with Prime, Blaster, and the gang. You kinda lose the epic quality of their city-former-ness. The more recent comic depiction (and video game) are more what I want to see. Slow moving, massive titans.

One question: How the heck am I going to get this in the house without my girlfriend noticing?

I guess if it's not crazy-hard to find like MP10 I can wait for a sale and use the "It was 30% off!" justification. That said, no way I have room to display this guy in anything but base mode. And even then it will be tough.

I was just thinking about a coffee table use for it. Time to get creative with that thing, like atlas, but holding up a table instead.

Oh yeah. Having him under glass under a table would be friggin' sweet. Maybe have a few suspended jets or such over him and/or trees/stone bits like a nice diorama.

Hey, I was gonna say that...

This thing is amazing and the reason I'm making the leap into collecting again for the first time since I was a kid.

Still looking awesome. It's going to be a long two weeks until payday so I can pre-order this monster. Getting a little worried about the poses they're showing him in. He's got pose ability in the legs. Please use it. Also bummed by their keeping the red head on Scamper.

Couldn't we have started a new thread with these official images?

Unless it's top-heavy and don't want it to fall over doing some outrageous pose. ;)

With the sound/light effects, the batteries are gonna be up there, so most likely top heavy. Course you could always take them out, and you can fit some stuff in his leg spaces, like transformers... or rock buddies.

Ok...Time for the Zat-man to weigh in on Plex the Flex...

FIRST, HOT DAMN this is awesome. I am kinda glad I didn't invest in getting the Metroplex rerelease. I ALWAYS wanted a Metroplex, but seeing as though the "biggest" Transformers toy I was ever gotten was Optimus and that wasn't until he was on sale two years after he came out lol.

SECOND...To all of you saying it's "LAZY," COME ON?!? Do we not remember the FIRST Metroplex?? lol :HEADHURTS: Yes, there is better technology to make the toys, BUT I personally dig simple transformations that harken back to the time when I didn't need to keep all the instructions handy just to play with the dang thing lol. I just got the new "Legends"classes in yesterday from Amazon, and they are wicked cool...despite not being deluxes....I also love my Cyberverse stuff. They are just cool little bots.

THIRD and lastly... I AM GETTING Plex, BUT the longer I wait and shop I REALLY doubt he is going to be around $100. Hasbro's Star Wars Droid Carrier is HUGE (yet smaller than Plex I think looking at it) and it's running lil under $200. I WANT to believe it's going to be between $100-150, but I just have my doubts. :BANG_HEAD:

Anyways...SOOOoooo getting him... Some of ya'll need to quit being so critical and remember it's a toy, and if any of us had this bad boy when we were ten, we would've been the man!! :michaelbay:

LOL

If she hasn't figured and/or accepted "The Collection" by now :HEADHURTS:

There are ONLY so many options... :-?

() She ACCEPTS and EMBRACES all of it.

() Collection goes

() She goes

() Make up a crazy story about your "speculating" on collectibles much like oil investors do with crude oil 8-}

HAve not bought a new bot in a long time. And this is almost the next temptation. Buying this may depend on whether reprolabels do a decent sticker upgrade or not to tip me over the edge.

Again, if only the hands get concealed. Why not for something this huge? At least the hands on the G1 are removable for storage. Also, if I wanted the feel of the G1 Metroplex... I'd get the G1 Metroplex.

For myself, as a collector since the 80's, I'd rather be critical. This would probably seem something like a calumniation of 30 years experience in toy making for Hasbeo/TT, It better be good. Also, I'm very critical on how I spend my extra cash.

Size alone does not impress me. I hope my opinion changes when I get to see this in person.

Hasbro's official MSRP (from Toy Fair): $125.00 USD.
TRU Canada's price: $99.99.

Both US and Canadian TRU stores generally use the same prices for their wares. Chances are, it'll debut at $99.99 and then TRU will jack it up to the $125.00

So, at the very least, in the beginning, it can be had for less than MSRP. Even BBTS said they might be able to sell it for less than MSRP.

On the topic of posability, given how large ol' Plexxy is, I highly doubt that the "real" Metroplex would be doing much in the way of high-kicks and acrobatics. He doesn't have an AT Field to compensate for his sheer mass after all.

Scamper looks to be in the new Legends size class (different from the old one that became the Cyberverse Legion class), which is just a smidge shorter than the current Cyberverse Commander class.

As for Slammer and Six-Gun, nada. Only Scamper comes with Metroplex.

Sabrblade would I be better off using the new legends class for displaying correctly with Metroplex or the idw deluxe figures

Metroplex. He's designed to interact with all the new Legends toys coming out. Optimus Prime & Autobot Roller, Bumblebee & Blazemaster, Megatron & Chop Shop, Starscream & Waspinator, etc.

Sabrblade any idea how much they will cost . I want to build a massive battle scene with Metroplex in my attic on a table
