Well, that's textbook definition of trolling.

EARTH MODE! ARE YOU DAFT?!

You can't really call someone "daft" and other immature expletives if you're not specific with your statement and/or move the goalposts each time.

There's no reason to be this aggressive!

I like it how I always get called out while the one who says liar isn't. There is a reason my tounge slips so often, but you'd likely throw a fit if you knew......

I think that's a bit of a disservice to the the 2 y/o. I was 2-3 around the time of Sunbow. None of the original line were beyond the ingenuity of a child. I think the ethos to those one-step figures is Hasbro being cheap and getting away with it. By trying to imply the basic transformers were ever too advanced for their target audience.

That proves my point. G1 had limited articulation, unlike beast wars, making it easier for 2 year olds.

There's no debate to be had, increase in articulation leads to an increase in complexity. So these one steps are closer to the G1 era than the are to Beast Wars when I comes to complexity.

Oh for the love of Primus.

SHUT. THE. HELL. UP.

This is NOT the place for people to bicker like whiny little brats. I'm too old and grumpy to deal with this immaturity and name calling.

You want to argue? That's what PMs are for. This is a forum for discussion about a toyline, not a laundry line for you people to air your consternation, criticisms, quibbles, complaints, and catfights.

There are several thousand other people here that would rather NOT read your bickering. SO please, for the love of God, Allah, Jehovah, Ra, Primus, and Ben Affleck, can we please act like we're more than 5 years old?

...how the hell am I the mature one here? WHat happened to me? I used to be cool... :HEADHURTS:

The only one that really interests me at this stage is Megatron (the big one ... whatever class that is, not the flippy boi). Prime simply because I've built up a dedicated Optimus Prime collection so may as well keep adding to it.

Everything else ... ehhhhh not really my cup of tea.

Yeah that one.

We should still call the other class "flippy bois". Image

They can certainly be used to flip the bird (since they're worn on one's fingers). ;)

I never asked to be called a liar, but I agree. Yes, Megatron is the best. That's the one I'll pick up for sure.

Well, beside the fact at that these one-step figures look like the Transformers Happy Meal toys of old. If you're happy to pay Hasbro prices for Happy Meal toys, more power to you.

BUT! To reiterate my bit on 'Basic Transformers', which was a follow-on statement to the anecdote on G1 figures. No figure, outside of the combiners, was too complex for a child in the entire first two years of Beast War figures.

The line has always been aimed at kids. Most kids have never needed to read the instructions to transform any of them, upto a certain size. The "complexity" only comes into play with the largest figures of each line. A kid wouldn't be able to transform TR Fort Max, for example, without the instructions. But so far, from the pics of this lines figures. There are none I would foresee as being too complex for a child of any age to change.

I like how this toyline is looking so far. Thank god they learned from Cyberverse and are doing deluxes right off the bat. Twitch looks really good, and the Megatron and Bee are sharp.

The warriors look pretty decent too.

double rotor Megatron returns!!! I am so excited for that.

Those finger flippers are super cool little concepts as well. I like them

Transformers Earthspark News Roundup with More Optimus Prime Toys Coming + BAF Mandroid and Trailer

SDCC was the first big look at the next chapter in the Transforners brand's saga : Transformers Earthspark. It is a show that takes place after the war between Autobots and Decepticons has finished and adds an extra layer of lore to Transformers, by having some native to Earth, hence the title. Optimus will be seen by earthlings as one of the greatest heroes of all time and Hasbro is going all out once again ensuring that there will be an Optimus Prime toy on shelves at all times. So in addition to all that was released by Hasbro the other day, we have 2 more Optimus Prime toys coming:

Tra Terran deluxe Optimus Prime
DPCI: 087-26-5856 MSRP: $24.99

Earthspark Spin Changer Optimus Prime with Robby Malto

That later toy was actually on display at SDCC and we have images of it for you, coming from Toyark.

They also took images of the Mandroid BAF figure. He is the main villain of the series and his pieces come with the deluxe toys.

You can see the Mandroid character in action in the trailer below.

Also from Toyark are the shots of the back of 2 toys we had already seem, deluxe Bumblebee and warrior Elita 1.

And finally here is a video on the new flip changers. They are basically the same as 1 steps, but Hasbro added another element to the transformation as you'll see.

But can they put up to the abuse of a child just introduced to transformers? I wouldn't put it pasta 7 year old to throw them off his bed lazily, saying they'll be fine.

There's an actual test performed on all toys called a drop test to make sure they either don't break or if they do break they don't leave sharp edges when dropped from a height that a child might drop them from under normal play. Some toys have reportedly failed this test and will never be reissued outside Japan (Fortress Maximus) while Hasbro likes to implement "made to break" into their toys so things like hinges and ball joints just pop off and back on rather than snap. It's not easy making toys for kids, there's a lot of safety concerns that are taken into consideration first.
