I'd still take these over the quick change garbage any day >:oP

However, I do acknowledge that they have a certain lackluster nature about them - combining a lack of paint and nearly non-existent articulation (as a whole set) to make a very mediocre line. All of which could easily be fixed by scrapping the quick change bricks and using that money to give these guys articulation and paint apps #-o

That Megatron is junk. Horrible design. Maybe wouldn't have been so bad if not released so soon to the much more imposing CW Leader design. This looks like it could have been any generic Decepticon tank trooper.

Starscream looks well done. Never been a big fan of G1 Starscream myself but I can see his fans being more than happy with that toy.

Cyber Series Commander Class Bumblebee Video Review

PostPosted: Sat Aug 15, 2015 1:28 pm
by Autobot032
Baltmatrix has been a busy bee, it seems. First it was Cyber Series Grimlock, then it was Cyber Series Megatron, on top of his other video reviews! (He covers a bit of everything, really.)

As fellow Seibertron staffer william-james88 said in the Megatron news piece, "So far, all that is left available to be ordered for anyone living outside Brazil is Bumblebee." Which seems to be the case, but he's also one of the ones who hasn't received much in the way of fanfare or reviews (outside of a few written ones) and that's all about to change because Baltmatrix just posted a video review of the Cyber Commander Class Bumblebee!

This is the larger Bumblebee figure from the line and comes in at nearly 10 inches tall! Is this Bumblebee a worthy addition to your collection? Check out Baltmatrix's review to find out, which you can do in the embed below:

I don't really like that Bee mostly because of the all blue chest. Otherwise, that's clever engeneering.

Also, the reviewer ignore that this headsculpt is a hommage to the original G1 toy.

Hey Gang,

Hope you're all doing well. Thanks for checking out my reviews!

I was able to nab Grimlock, Megs, BB and Prime from BBTS. They had a few in stock and I swooped in to get them (mostly thanks to an email notification I got on my phone in the middle of a meeting at work).

Sadly they are all out of stock right now but here's hoping folks who want them will be able to get them easily.

*Seibertron Starscream*
_______________
"Green in the video" Nothing about SS looks Green, Its A beautiful Powder-Blue. An A nicely painted version of it I might add.
Imo, Nothing beats the classic SS color scheme.
That figure also has the newer IDW King Starscream design with the more direct, linear, imbedded nose-cone (see: Transformers RiD vol.5 Cvr.?).

Yup, good vid. Maybe less purple-prose next time. But thanx.

Through my lens it looks like a very faint sea-foam green. In all honesty it looks like the color blue that my bathroom wall now is. Good catch with the nose cone, it does cut a very regal pose no?

Anyone know where you can get these guys now or how to search for them on eBay?

At retail price? No clue. Chosen Prime has them in stock at a markup: http://www.thechosenprime.com/New-Arriv ... 1-2-4.html

EDIT: Slightly cheaper at Transfan2's site. Not a super common shop but he's legit.

You could try looking up the name on one of the South American EBay sites then using Google Translate to write them a question if they'd ship internationally perhaps ?

Due to the way EBay doesn't make things terrible visible you might have to do it by the local sites to even find them.

it wouldnt be worth it, the way the exchange rate is. The figures in Brazil and on their sites are the same if not more expensive than the ones in the links above.

I was thinking there might be some advantage in bulk buying.
But if they are all sold out at many Importers EBay Might be some's only option now. (unless said importers can re-stock or the Battalion line gets picked up by Target or TRU say).

It's a bit like the situation there was with some of the Kre-o and Constructbots - matching the location with the customer is tricky.

Hallo,
I'm new to this discussion thread and I've seen that there haven't been any news for a whole while here.
So do we have any information now if and when this line is going to be released or is it canceled?
I know that Takara is going to downsize and retool those figures but I definitely want the :HASBRO: version of this Megs.

2 things.

1. Takara is not downsizing them, what you see are small model kits made by a candy company that take inspiration from these deisngs. Its like kinder surprise toys that you can build.

2. The Hasbro toys came out last year but were only available in south america. You could have ordered them from robot kingdom though since they may have been available in asia as well (though I am not sure of that). These were more like GDO toys.

Transformers Cyber Battalion Optimus Prime & Starscream See Universal Studios Exclusive Release

By way of ebay seller DjFungShing we get a look at a possible new release of the Transformers Generations Cyber Battalion Series Optimus Prime and Starscream. These figures feature the same packaging as the previous release with the addition of a Universal Studios Exclusive Product logo on the front. These figures were never released in the U.S. and there is no word yet on availability or if Megatron, Grimlock or Bumblebee will join them.

Man, I would love that Starscream if he just had working knees and arm/leg/wrist swivels. Seems like he is a good size too.

If you look back a few pages in the thread I did a review of Starscream. It's a fantastic figure. Is it overly articulated? No, but that doesn't make it any less fun.

Heh, almost just like in Brazil, where toy stores restocked this Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee, along with the bigger version of Optimus and Bee. Neither Starscream nor Grimlock this time, though.
