"Out of stock" doesn't mean "Gone forever". MP Soundwave went "Out of Stock" multiple times before I got mine.

Yea, he'll be back. This was just the first wave/run of TRU.com stock (presumably).

I know...just for the initial order it would have been nice for more to be available. I got an email saying mine should arrive between 05.30.14 and 06.04.14. They will be back up for sure.

why does Hasbro not put more of this product AT LEAST ON THE WEBSITE? let alone in the stores? These Masterpiece toys are a hot product. If they push them up 20 bucks online THAT'S FINE, it's the economic cost of not having to drive to try and find one and I'm ok with that, as well as the 1 limit per customer. I am not, however, cool with people scalping them and Hasbro not making enough for demand. Out of stock, out of luck, out of hope for this company. They've been starting to do better this year, but they still suck where the Masterpiece line is concerned.

and are Grimlock's teeth still rounded at the tips on this US release?

reluctantyouth wrote:Got me some new Grimlock plastic crack on the way! Purchased at 7:39 am Central time. I'm majorly bummed about the price increase. The same thing happened when TRU bumped the price of Prime from $99.99 to $119.99. I only found the first Grimlock release in my TRU once and he was $79.99 then as well. The best I can hope for is getting this one and hoping down the line there is a BOGO 50% sale and my TRU actually has Grimlocks at that point. Now at least I will be able to open this one and display it as I never got to open my first release. We all know the boxes coming from TRU shipping will be badly damaged in transit anyway. I hope you all get one!!

UPDATE 7:54 am Central Time

PS- Holy crap    I tried "transformers", "transformers all", "masterpiece", "transformers masterpiece", "grimlock", and "transformers masterpiece grimlock" and NONE of those brought the product up from website search page. MAJOR KUDOS!!! to the member that found this. No wonder they are still available on the site right now!

UPDATE 11:12 am Central Time

I did some digging around online and some site called slickdeals.net had a post about 20% code for toysrus.com and that Grimlock did not apply (I'm purposefully not posting the unrecognized code here so don't hate me :-$ ). I called TRU Customer Service as to the validity of code. They told me that no code existed. I also let rep know that Grimlock was not visible on site with regular search. She spent about 10 min on the phone with me and for my time said she would go ahead and authorize a 20% discount once I got confirmation email that Grimlock has shipped. She just told me to call back with the confirmation reference number. That 10 min saved me $15.99. Total cost of my Grimlock will be around $69.00 tax included and I'm very happy with that!!

~reluctantyouth~ :BOT:

What the beeping beep? So you got a discount even though no discount existed? BEEEEPPPP!!!! :BOOM:

Supplies are always limited when demand is high, econ 101. That's why their first wave of AOE deluxe figures are cleaned out too. You are just not quick to the trigger. Worry not though, Grimmy will be back as long as there is demand.

Some people cling to this fantasy that whenever a new figure comes out, it should instantly be available in every retail store in the country, and on Day 1 every store should have enough every figure for every possible customer that might walk through the door.

To quote the old lady in that insurance ad: "That's not how it works. That's not how ANY of this works!"

I don't buy from Toy R Us on line if you want a nice looking box to display or for re-sale later when you replace him for a newer one.

They send MP's out with NO, NO protection at all, just loose moving around in a box getting banged up and most of the time will look like your dog got it.

I know many don't care about the box, but if and when you ever re-sale him, you get the most money when it looks as nice as it could. This is always the case. I will just try to fine one myself and get the best looking on they have at the time. It can be found if you live near a Toys R Us, you just have to work for it and stay on top of deliveries.

Lego.com sucks also, if your buying the Ghostbusters set coming out soon, they do not use any packing like bubble wrap or paper, just stick your high priced collectors items in a box and send them on... I put a note in email when I bought, but they don't read them it seems. Oh well!

To those that missed Grimlock and were nice enough to scroll down through all the comments here I have a bit of good Transformers Generations Legends Class news for you as Skrapnel and Tailgate are currently IN STOCK at hasbrotoyshop.com. I could no longer get any of the known free shipping codes to work though. The links are below. Too bad Cosmos and Swerve are not present but I found those at Target.

This thing was available for almost 7 hours today. I don't think MP Soundwave was ever available online for more than a couple at a time. Pretty good stock, especially since this apparently hit slickdeals

I know the box quality and shipping efforts royally stink. I'm going to open this Grimlock regardless and do not plan on selling. I will sell my first release if I have to as the trapezoid style box is still in good shape. I have to say I've had problems with Lego Store.com as well as my Lego Simpsons House Box was pretty banged up...looking forward to Ghostbusters set too! Now if only Lego had gotten on board with Transformers before Kre-O came along.

I agree with that...I had Soundwave in my cart 3 different times when he was supposedly in stock and never got him from TRU.com as the order did not go through. I did luck out though and get mine at brick and mortar...picked up two Soundwave when he was BOGO 50%. This initial launch of Grimlock did last quite a while, but really it had a lot to do with not being able to pull Grimlock up on the site in any way, shape, or form until Seibertron.com posted the link to product page. An earlier post of mine shows how many different combinations I tried to get the product to come up.

Wow he sold out slower then I thought. I am with the bunch that during MP Soundwave release was hard to obtain. Several checkout attempts. This was much smoother. I was on messing around this morning and saw the news bulletin when it was posted.

Ordered at 6 AM sometime around there, received confirmation of my order at 9:39 AM, already received my shipment notification that Grimlock is on his way to my house via UPS picked up today. I have to at least applaud the improved process from 2 years ago with Soundwave. I hope those still want him are able to find him.

11 years and 11 posts. You broke your quota of one post a year. Or is that 0 post for certain years?
Oh and on topic, for those who wanted to wait to see them on shelves and wait for price drops or shelf warming, are you bleeping insane? You grab the online deal first (while it lasted) then you try other strategies for discounts. You can always return your online purchase at a local store. :HEADHURTS:

And now for more complaining

Considering everything that was included with the MP Soundwave release, I do wish more accessories were included with Grimmy. The apron and mind transfer device that was packed with the original release, for example.

And a little Wheelie to ride him.

Welcome to Seibertron.com, nullrayz! Toys R Us shipments vary by location. The general trend with TRU is that new items start showing up out west in California first (generally) and sometimes in Washington or Oregon, and then work their way eastward. That isn't always the case, but it's a good general rule of thumb. Your best bet is to ask your local TRU to pull up the item and tell you as much as they can about whether or not there are any in the back, at other nearby locations, at the warehouse or en route to the warehouse. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks and hope to see you around more!

I didn't know they could see what is going to be enroute to their store in terms of shipments. I've been calling a few stores in my area, they all say different things about shipping. If anyone has an ebay account on here, i'll be willing to buy the masterpiece Grimlock if you find one at 10 dollars above retail price+whatever you charge for shipping (hopefully not more than 10).

You're right.

There was a link provided by Raynofett that took us to a listing for Grimlock.

but now it seems to go to a empty TRU page.

I don't know what's going on.

Jackpot, I got two of them today and there was apparently 5 left, wasnt even on the shelves yet, and I also have one coming in the mail I was able to do on the website before the preorder closed. I would be willing to part with some of them for a modest upcharge
