It's been a while since I've been actively posting on this site, so if this thread doesn't meet certain requirements to stay active, please inform me and/or remove if necessary

I did a quick search to see if any Hasbrotoyshop.com (HTS) threads had been started yet for this year's San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) Exclusives. I did not come across any so I figured I would start it.

This thread, if the admins approve, can be the official thread for the HTS SDCC Exclusives. It can cover a range of subtopics such as, Time of Availability, Late night Refreshing (F5ing), Previous year information, Helping others acquire, Discount codes, First time HTS watchers, What you hope to acquire, Quantity Limitations, HTS Customer Service, etc.

For many years the SDCC exclusives became available online just a day or few after the Comic Com ends, but last year HTS blew everyone's minds by making us wait for an extended amount of unknown time, causing many to stay up many sleepless nights. I wonder if they'll torture us again this year with a delayed release. I do know that the prices are pretty steep this time! I'm curious how fast these will sell out this year?

I'm tempted to try to get the Kreon set just because it's the only one that's not super over-priced. I've love the Dinobot set, but not at that price.

Will these go on sale today or tomorrow?

Cool Thanks I couldn't remember what time they went on sale last year.

I'm pretty sure noon is the time, but it might have been Tuesday instead of Monday.

Going off my old order confirmation emails:

2013 - Wednesday around noon pacific
2012 - Not sure, didn't get stuff
2011 - Tuesday
2010 - Tuesday
2009 - Tuesday
2008 - Monday

In other words, I would keep your peripheral vision out there today for it, but I'd be shocked if any of it hit. Looks like Tuesday is your best bet - remember, the Wednesday thing last year was rumored to be due to Harmony Gold and the hoopla over that GI Joe Jetfire set.

Yeah, hate the wait BIG TIME! I'm all in for the Dinos... even through I feel they are very pricey for what's in the box. I believe $120 would've been a fair price.

I checked periodically all day yesterday and nothing. I will continue to check today. I'm hoping to score some dinobots, but I'm not holding my breath over it.

i caved and bought the dinobot set off ebay, too many bad times with HTS to try them this year

HTS codes don't apply to exclusives, unfortunately.

Quite frustrating... I'm starting to question if the extra buck of buying on eBay is worth the bad nights. It's gotta be tomorrow.

I remember several years back now, when the exclusives were Universe 2008 Nemesis Prime and a repaint of the Titanium War Within seeker mold (can't recall which character), we were told well in advance when the products would go live, and they hit the mark pretty close. I don't recall if the same was true the following years with the reissue Soundwave and reissue Blaster sets, but I had no hassle getting them at all. The last few years, though, it's been a nightmare of not knowing what day or time they'll pop up, and the fact that they sell out in minutes. What changed? It seemed to work fine years ago when they would tell us when to expect the sale to start.

Wolfman, I completely agree with you. Hasbro has, in my humble opinion, lacked respect for their customers, specially the hardcore fans like us that have been refreshing HTS.com every 5 minutes since Monday. This is the 21st century for Primus sake!

i agree, i mean, Mattel can can post when thier exclusives are going live, even put them up with "coming soon" where youd click add to cart, why cant hasbro follow suit

They've got morons working on the selling and HTS.com department, that's the only thing I can think of... yet I wonder if I'm a bigger moron for playing along. Hate it. XD
