Your 2014 Christmas Haul

The day is finally here! What did you guys get for Christmas? Share lists and even photos!

Of course, our brethren in mainland Europe will have already had time to get bored with their new TFs and blended them or put them on the fire as they exchange presents on the 24th, but the rest of us are just getting them!

My parents got me MP Bumblebee and as soon as I've hit 'Submit' I shall be going and opening him up and giving him a good licking.

No robots for me. Only robots cone from myself, and nothing caught my attention. :)

I'll lick the dust off some older ones, instead.

Oh I got plenty of books, as usual! But no toys.

And yes, Good Omens is a great book.

Only TFs I got was Kre-O Volcanicon, which technically I got myself but a certain someone bought off me to give back as a gift (just as well, no one can tell which ones to get me otherwise). Wouldn't have minded a few others, but ordering from TRU.com was just weird...

Also got Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, a Tyrunt plushie, Earthbound, Guardians of the Galaxy, Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, some cool shirts (Simpsons, Dr Who, and a van Gogh-style Batman), birdfood and a new feeder since squirrels (and the elements) tore the old one apart, and a mug and poster featuring some of the holiday cards I've made over the years, plus some other things.

I feel like I should buy a robot or something vaguely robo-esque now..

EDIT: Wait, I lied! I did get something silly and of a vague robot theme:

(Door/wall stickers, I believe. Crazy Swedes.)

i'm a contender for the weirdest christmas haul, and being dutch, we don't even do christmas presents in my family. apparently one of my aunts' sisters moved and kicked all her tableware out. since my aunt knows i have this particular tableware myself, my mom showed up today with a big, heavy box. the result is on my table (not the stuff on the right side)

Only 1 Transformer- the TF2014 Grimlock (AKA a black and gold repaint of Prime Rippersnapper). He's oddly addictive to transform and muck about with and his dino/fish-kaiju mode is just adorable. Also I kinda want to get another version of this mold and do him up as Skalor.

I got the AOE Autobots United set plus Galvatron and Lockdown from my parents and AOE Hot Shot from my sister. I liked Age of Extinction, in case it weren't obvious enough.

I'm curious about how many who have replied so far ask for their gifts, or if they're really good at leaving hints or having friends and family that are invested in the collecting/hobby aspect of your life. :-?

If I were to ask anyone around me about buying me a Transformer for any occasion, there'd be panic, eye-rolling, excuses and usually result in 'you get it, I'll pay you back'. :D

I didn't have any figures under the tree, but my mom did get me an Optimus Prime 3dlightFX and a box set of the 4 live action movies on bluray.

I guess even though I got them early, and made the order myself, the Generations Roadbuster and Jhiaxus and the Prime Beast Hunters Abominus combiner members I got online in the last week (all of them but Twinstrike and Hungrrr) count as Christmas presents, too. Rippersnapper was a bit of a mistake, as I accidentally ordered one of those at first instead of Blight, whoops, guess now I have a spare. 8-}

That's all I got TF related, but I also got some Wii U games and a couple of Amiibos, and the latest Weird Al CD. Yes, I got a CD, I have every previous Weird Al (non compilation) album on CD, so I had to complete the set. Plus, I don't like digital distribution anyway.

My mom always asks for a list, but with the shoddy distribution, I don't bother putting transformers on it anymore. She let me put the TF's I mention ordering above on her CC as "part of your Christmas" as she put it to me, though.

Well, back in the previous decade when you could actually find most things in most stores, I was pretty easy, I'd just list the names of the figures, and name of the line the figure was from. Worked just fine. I just don't do that anymore because I know I have trouble finding them now, she's certainly not going to go to every store in the area looking.

I would like to think that I'm fairly observant when it comes to my remembering that I've dropped hints about things I want, but apparently I'm not. My finacee has said that she has a list of things on eBay that I've mentioned wanting over the years, and when Christmas/birthday time rolls in, she hits up said list and tries to reduce its' length. And despite my having mentioned all the things on this list, I don't really remember what would be on it, so every time it's a surprise. I guess it's a list of stuff I mention wanting but include the idea that I'll probably never end up getting, so that for the most part I've given up on getting the thing until I unwrap it. It's worked out incredibly well for me thus far.

She knows better than to just get me something from retail. We will be together seven years come New Years Day, and while she may not have learned all the figures that I do have in that amount of time, she long ago learned that if I see something I want at the store, 9 times out of 10 I just buy it.

If I didn't ask for specific figures people wouldn't know what to get. They don't know what I have and what I want as I'm rather fussy now, although any figure given to me as a gift would have a special place in my collection. I have to provide a list with links to the actual figures on commerce sites to ensure the right item is bought. For those not in the know it's a bizarre and confusing world!

I also got AOE on BD and Generations Rattrap on BP (Blister Pack). He will go nicely with the Waspinator I got for my birthday a couple of weeks ago but I'm too busy playing with MP Bee to open him right now!

I have in-laws and family friends that like to give gifts when possible and appropriate. Thing is, I'm too scared to ask them for anything. That doesn't stop them from getting me stuff, Transformer-related or not. That netted me the animated movie and a Brave KO, among other things like coloring books and band-aids :)
Of my haul this year, the Construct-Bots were bought 2 weeks in advance with the condition I open them on Christmas day (surprisingly, my parents seemed to like the thought of Transformers you build yourself). The games I specifically asked for, but the DVD was a surprise. They know I love trains, and given it's the 175-year Anniversary of the Dutch railway system it only seemed appropriate :) My mother was in a real pinch, since I usually ask for video games, but with my move coupled with the 3DS being region-locked... :BANG_HEAD:

My family doesn't actually buy me transformers figures. Some strange taboo about me being a grown man or some such nonsense.

However, I did receive a Big Bad Toy Store package on the 22nd, so I'll call that my "near-Christmas" haul.

BBTSXMASHAUL.JPG

I bought the Hasbro Asia reissue of MP-10, thus allowing his 2012 Toys R Us counterpart to be condemned remain mint in same box. He's flanked by Arcee and Chromia, the former of which I have completely fallen in love with, backpack or no.

I'm not usually one for Autobot figures, but these certainly gave me holiday cheer. :D
