To me it looks like they're ditching the "Battleship Maximus" mode from the original in favor of his IDW tankish thing. I'm willing to bet he'll still have the city mode though.

That mold can't pull off the spaceship Bruce-thing. Not like the geewun-version anyway. I'm curious how this'll end up.

hes got all the elements needed for a city mode, the ramps, the legs that really cant do much else considering how much they look like metroplex's legs with some retooling for cannons on the front. also the waist looks to have the center tower part with the flip out cannons on the side just like the original

Hold on....tankish thing? aren't you meaning Perfect Effect Warden? If this indeed is the case....then we'll have a Titan Class Warden figure here

I look forward to getting this. That way, I don't have to buy reprolabels for Perfect Effect Warden to make it look like IDW Fort Max

I want Max, I do, but not at the cost of Combiners. I hope Combiner Wars continues into Titan Wars, because it fits the theme of the lines. It's all about gimmicks and selling more, and Combiners are right up that alley.

Combination. Headmastery. Targetmastery. Powermastery. All of those things need to be explored, looks like they might and it all needs to be in a super awesome line.

One thing that sucks, though... Titan Wars is going to be short lived because '17 is another movie year, which will either kill the line completely or put it on hiatus for however long they deem necessary.

This, all day long with a cherry on top.

I had this same thought, and it made me feel frustrated.

I purchased my Devastator at my local TRU last Thursday. I didn't even open the box until yesterday. I was just admiring it. Then I finally took out all the figures, transformed each of them from vehicle to robot and then back to vehicle, then I put together Devastator. I had a miniature panic attack because at first I didn't realize that his loose parts were stored in a bag underneath the inside cardboard and I couldn't find them. I can honestly say I haven't been this excited to transform a figure in quite a while. As we speak, he doesn't even stand on my desk or on a shelf, he is on my bed's headboard, directly above my head. So if he falls while I'm sleeping, it's gonna hurt. But he's a Con, what else should I expect? Image Anyway, just wanted to express how much I freaking love this figure. That is all. :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK:

I don't think so, but I'm going get more info when I get off the road. I did get the in stock email from them stating orders are filled first ordered first shipped basis.

EDIT: Confirmed, not shipped yet. :-(

Did the last movie kill any lines? I wasn't really paying attention back then to the nuts and bolts of the line, but I seem to remember seeing a dozen or so faux-dinobots on the shelves right next to some CHUG figures.. and the Masterpieces kept going. Wasn't Titan Metroplex on the shelves for the last movie?

Went looking for Protectobots earlier at my local TRU in Kennesaw GA. Found Devastator instead. Didn't think he'd be on the shelves around here so soon. Also spotted MP Bluestrek, but I'll hold off for the time being. Might try and snag him on sale.

I'll admit, they did a good job on the individual Constructicons, despite their simplicity and lack of some articulation on some joints. Scavenger and Bonecrusher have to be the most challenging to transform. And bad news for those wanting a Prowl-stator. Hook does not convert into a leg-piece to replace Scrapper. So they'd have to create a separate Hook figure and since Prowl is with the Prime/Skylynx combiner, it ain't happening. The Chestpiece is probably the most tedious part to put on since you have to have the treads on Scavenger and Bonecrusher and the alignment with Long Haul and Hook right in order for it to go on properly. He scales well with Megatron and my MP Soundwave.

Edit:

Phantom: Movie lines tend to clog the shelves and push back or eliminate any chance of more recent figures reaching the shelves that come after. DOTM and AOE did this pretty badly and we missed out on some good figures as a result.

Just make sure you send the figures as well. I wouldn't mind displaying them individually as well as together. Let me add that the individual figures are fairly simple, it was clear the engineers concentrated on the gestalt aspect over the individuals. Their robot modes are pretty accurate, except for Long Haul who had to be made short and fat in order to function as the torso of the big guy. Basically, it's a huge version of the G1 toys. But in a good way. :-)

Couple thoughts:

1) I've seen the reviews for Devy and besides the expected whining about a few joints and non-G1 ishness, Everyone agrees: HE IS FRIKKIN' AWESOME!! you have no idea how stoked I am to get him!

2) I want a titan Predaking now, to go along with Devy. They'd probably make the torso a leader class to make up for the 2 voyagers, but I'd take it. Me wants.

3) peeking at the Fort Max art, I spy a little car with what looks like a driver. Headmasters? I think yes. And the fact that Fort Max has an IDW look plus the original double headmaster thing, I'm excited.

4) hopefully the movie line is limited like the last to 3 or 4 waves. that was sufficient (I like the movies too) :BOT:

I hope they don't do that. They should do as they did with Devastator, and keep all the 5 guys the same size, like he was in G1. Predaking doesn't need to be as large as Devastator, but if they put together 5 Voyager class figures, he would still be much bigger than the other gestalts. If anything, if they go realistic, they would need to make Headstrong and Tantrum larger than Razorclaw, Divebomb and Rampage. I think the original G1 figures would scale pretty well with the CW figures, but I would still like to see an update on the animals, considering how well they did BW characters.
