Totally struck out at Target despite today being the street date for all of their exclusives. Only thing I found was a price tag for what I'm guessing is Legacy Towline since it said Legacy Deluxe and it was over on the end cap with the other exclusives. The Transformers section only looks full because of the moved all the stuff from the Transformers endcap they had for ROTB to the aisle.

Still no G2 stuff at Walmart either.

I went to my Target last night and they had a whole peg full of Towlines, and a few on the shelf below. So keep checking, he's out there.

the walmart near my workplace had a fun display this week. New Toxitron leaders alongside SS86 Junkheap and the initial wave of SS core. Also the first time I have seen the first RotB wave of deluxes in stores.

So your store just got the Toxitron Leaders in? I guess there's hope after all, after that comment about Walmart's eminent removal of the series to clearance. They still haven't shown up in my area (according to Walmart.com), definitely not at my local store. Just need Grimlock...

Cool, though it suddenly became a moot point. Grimlock is currently in stock on Walmart.com! So many times they've tricked me into thinking it was in stock but it was just a "check availability" button instead of add to cart, but this one was real!

I have little doubt you'll be able to find the leaders. They are in a abundance. But I doubt any new shipments of deluxe will be reported. If so I'd definitely like to know. I hate myself but I had to go the scalper route to get Dead End should be arriving Monday. Paid way too much for it.

One of the benefits of working nights is being able to hit Walmart at 7AM. My local Walmart has stocked twice and I've seen full cases both times. I was able to get everything but Grimlock from Pulse so it kinda felt like a waste not needing them while other things I do need I just can't find.

Meanwhile, same Walmart, also got SS Deluxe and Voyager wave 21 in, but not the previous one.

My local Walmart has cleaned up a bunch of the toy shelves, probably preparing for holiday stock. They actually put all of the Transformers in their proper spots instead of sort of mashing them together. They even stuck the Deluxe G2 stuff back on the shelf where they belong instead of the Legacy and SS pegs. Still no space for G2 Leaders.

Other things I've noticed is they moved all of the Dungeons & Dragons toys to clearance, both movie and cartoon. Figures were $10 and the big dragon was $15. They also moved the Super Powers vehicles (not the figures) to clearance for $15 each. Both of these lines were near the Jurassic Park section so they just expanded the Jurassic Park stuff into their space creating a space the same size as the TMNT and TF area combined.

Man, those discounted super powers vehicles are cool. Pur walmarts only have individual figures in stock.

While this place is really stocked, it's mostly stuff I don't want. 80% of the releases from Legacy and SS are skipped.

So my Walmart did its reset, they slightly shrunk down the Transformers section and much of the Ninja Turtles sections to make room for Godzilla vs. Kong stuff. The stuff on the top shelf used to be on the lower shelves and pegs. Also wish they'd do something about the big empty space directly above the pegs, what a waste of real estate.

I was so excited to finally see something new on the shelf for Studio Series Leaders aside from Starscream (there's just two left).

20240123_073647.jpg

Quickly turned into disappointment when it turned out to be The Fallen and Sludge from 2022. Still haven't seen a single 2023 Leader in any store.

With the way my job is, I only have a fraction of the time to go into stores anymore. once take away I'm seeing is that Earthspark is shelf warming hard. Kids just dont seem to be into it. There's tons of it in every store I go to, doesn't matter of its Walmart or Target, or what location.

Surprisingly there's a DVD coming out for the remaining 16 episodes of S1 next month. This is odd especially since the last batch of episodes hasn't even aired on Nickelodeon in the U.S. ...I know supposedly a 2nd season was approved, but based on what's been going on in the Entertainment business, I wont be shocked it that just doesn't happen.

I wonder if the general toy market is finally reaching saturation levels with Transformers. With so many different lines available, maybe it's getting to the point that every child who has only a general interest in Transformers already has enough figures.

I can't speak to the quality of the show as I haven't seen it (and don't plan to) but the toys of Earthspark seem to be on the simpler side for the most part. This is based on in-store observation, I haven't actually picked up and handled any figures.

I'm sure Hasbro and various retail companies have surveys and other methods to find out who buys what, but with the RoTB line clogging shelves all year and a steady stream of both SS and Legacy, the Earthspark line may just seem inferior even to general shoppers and their children.

^yep, 2 year old product, mixed with 1 year old, mixed with (very little) more recent. Those Dragstrips hurt my eyes, and yeah, there's a Walmart near me that's had like 10 BB Arcees for well over a year. Yet they got more in the twin packs for the holiday

Also still seeing Jhiaxus in some stores as well.

Why hasbro decided to keep the same sku across all of Legacy is beyond me. Starting with PotP in 2018, changing the sku each year maybe didn't get the best distribution (even during COVID), but it was a better system than what they have now.

Yeah the two Walmarts near me look like this as well. Although I will say I've got lucky over the last month with finding Gamer Edition Prime and G2 Sideswipe. Other than that it's all old product.
