Hi I am new to buying transformers and don't know appropriate prices from overpriced toys. Someone wanted to sell me rotf wheelie mint for 43 dollars (shipping included).

Is this figure overpriced?

-thanks

guess it depends on how much the owner liked his Wheelie

Yeah, personally I'd say that's overpriced even for a MOSC (Mint On Sealed Card) one. Usually I try not to go over 2x regular retail, which puts the limit to... $20-$25.

Am I a cheapskate? :???:

How much do you really want a ROTF Wheelie?

To me that's way overpriced. 20 to 30 tops would be my range for a Wheelie. A Good reference is Ebay as to how much things are actually selling for.

Your best bet to compare is the SOLD listings on Ebay. That's what people actually pay for. Now, do you ant it LOOSE but unbroken and complete, or COMPLETELY BRAND NEW AND SEALED? Because a sealed toy can be worth much more. If your goal is to have it brand new and unnopen, prepare to pay the big bucks.

For reference:

Loose wheelie:

And loose but complete:

http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_odkw=rot ... e&_sacat=0

Don't forget that shipping also add to the overall price.

Yup, this to me is the only tangible way to know if you are paying too much. Look at what other people are paying or have paid for this item. And the finished auctions on e-bay are your best bet for that ;)^
