Thanks to a new round of leaks from jtprime17 (brought to us by Seibertronian Munkky) we've got our first list of figures for a potential Star Seekers capsule (exclusive line) coming to Walmart in 2024. There's been some rumblings about a few of these figures happening, but this is our first solid look at the lineup from a reliable source. For those unfamiliar with the Star Seekers they're a group of Pirates popularized by Aligned fiction and Botcon 2014 and lead by either Thundertron or Cannonball (one of them) depending on the story.

Munkky wrote:Looks like we're also getting a Wal-Mart capsule line focusing on the Star Seekers as well:

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers DLX AST
Product Number: G0200

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Capsule Deluxe 1
Product Number: G0231

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Deluxe Roadpig
Product Number: G0232

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Deluxe Lockdown
Product Number: G0233

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Deluxe Filch
Product Number: G0234

Tra Gen legacy Star Seekers Voyager Ferak
Product Number: G0235

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Leader Thundertron

Opportunity arises to repaint Cyclonus and this current brand team does Ferak. I'm not sure half of them have a single original idea in their bones.

Filch though, that's neato!

I'm more excited about the Star Seekers than I am about most of the main line, I only bought a small handful of figures from Velocitron and nothing from Toxitron, so I may dip into this sub-line a lot. I've always liked the idea of the Star Seekers, and some of the characters in this line-up sound great. Also, I'm taking this as more writing on the wall that Tidal Wave is definitely happening soon, either as next year's Commander or Titan, what's a pirate crew without their ship after all?

Hopefully Filch uses the RotB Airrazor mold. I liked the RotB Maximal molds but passed because I didn't need more of those characters.

I can't decide if I want it to be based on the main line version or SS, they both have their benefits and issues.

Would Thundertron be a repaint or a new mold? Would it be Leo Prime with a minicon?

I feel like it would be more likely for it to be a retooled Leo Prime with a pirate sword and an adaptation of Coronation Starscream's chair.

I guess if it's not Leo Prime it could by SS Cheetor. Retooling the SSBBM Arcee in that Amazon 2-pack opens a lot of possibilities in general, but not too many options for Thundertron unless they wildly revamp the character.

Edit: Is Roadpig going to be our Crashbar recolor?

As a G1 comic fan, I would love a leader or commander Scorponok.

Why do I get the feeling Road Pig is gonna be Axer instead... *looks up Aligned Axer* and there we have it. He also used the G2 Road Pig mold in 2001. Interesting thought, but Axer was nixed in favor of Road Rocket... :-?

My theory is that Road Pig is a Prowl repaint since Lockdown is likely an Axelgrease retool to fill our Junkion mold quota. I think Axer is probably one of the unnamed figures (and a car, not a motorcycle) along with a Cannonball made from Crankcase.

I'm also not ruling out one of the unnamed figures being G2 Stunticon Breakdown or Wild Rider.

I would liked to see the Dirge colors myself.

Filch is so far out of left field, I love it. Give those RiD2015 cons some love!

I would like it to be the ROTB version simply because I am quite tired of that transformation on the SS one. And I think ROTB versions has a better bird mode.

Really not looking forward to that lockdown. When I saw that Axelgrease came with a hook, it was basically confirmed where they were going with that mold and I find it really does not work for Lockdown at all. The only aspect which ends up being kind of clever is that we can recreate the asymetry and hodge podge monstrosity that is Lockdown, but that's more the toy recreating a theme of the character than looking like the character.

I agree with this

Chances are that Filch will not be made from the mainline ROTB Airazor mold because, in Hasbro's eyes, that mainline mold is a kiddy toy and not a Generations mold, and this Hasbro team has never used a non-Generations mold for a Generations toy.

So Filch's options will probably be either Kingdom Airazor or SS ROTB Airazor (yes, Studio Series is a Generations line).

Yes, BUT, so far I belive the only SS mold that is not a SS-86 mold to be re-used outside of SS was about 10% of DOTM Jetfire being used for the X-panse. So the use of SS ROTB Airazor outside of SS would be a pretty big change for them. I'm not saying is can't happen, just weird that so far, they have not really re-used anything from SS (non-86) outside of SS repaints.

The Legacy Javelin figure is made from the Studio Series Bumblebee movie Arcee mold.

The thing they have in common is that both were significantly retooled to where they don't resemble their original (licensed) design. With that in mind, Kingdom Airazor (which head tho?) is a more likely candidate for Filch.
