Any idea what the next titan will be after the Nemesis and Guardian Robot? I thought I saw someone mention another Omega Supreme redeco as Omega Doom, but that might have just been wishful thinking...

I've got to think a redo of G1 Metroplex would be in the works at some point soonish.

Honestly, I'd love another run of Siege Omega Supreme. Such a great figure.

There's nothing concrete to point us in any specific direction right now for Titans, but the closest things we have to credible hints right now are as follows:
-There is a Quintesson "corkscrew" ship on the Legacy Evolution art alongside the Nemesis, which could be hinting at a Titan Quint ship at some point in the same vein as the Ark and Nemesis, but also the Ark and Nemesis were both showing up on packaging art for years before their respective releases, so this first appearance of a Quint ship isn't necessarily a guaranteed next-year hint
-Between Armada Galvatron suspiciously getting a retail slot next year (despite being a straight repaint) in the wave that the Titan and Commander usually launch alongside, and us now being told that a Star Seeker subline is coming as well in that same summer, it seems like the stars are aligning for a new Tidal Wave release, but whether Tidal Wave would be a Commander or a Titan remains to be seen, seeing as how he's been depicted at both sizes

I imagine if Omega Doom is on the table at all it would be an SG or Selects release like Omega Guardian and Black Zarak, not the mainline new Titan slot.

During one of the live streams showing off Armada Megatron there was a slight tease that Tidal Wave will be able to connect to Megatron so a Commander seems like the likely course. Either size he'd be out of scale with the Star Seekers so I'm counting on little slug figures like the Nemesis got as a bonus.

A Quintesson ship would see me bite. There've been enough recent releases to actually make them a legitimate force all on their own and a titan would certainly add to that.

My heart hopes for a titan Tidal Wave, but my wallet hopes for commander.

Either way, though, as far as new molds are concerned aren't we due for an Autobot next? I know the Quints aren't technically Decepticons, but their guys often get lumped into their camp anyway.

We got two autobots back to back going from kingdom to legacy, so getting two cons/baddies going from evolution to universe isn't necessarily out of the question.

There are 13 titan-class toys overall to date 7 Autobot and 6 Decepticon. Odds are favoring an Evil Titan as the next. But at this point with Hasbro, you never know.

Am I missing any?

Metroplex
Trypticon
Devastator
Fortress Maximus [and Grand Maximus]
Predaking
Omega Supreme [and Guardian Robot]
Scorponok [and Black Zarak]
The Ark
The Nemesis

Seems like an Autobot combiner is overdue.

You're missing Cybertron Metroplex.

The combiner Titans ( Devastator & Predaking) only were made to have a bigger toy for kids to play with. They don't scale well with other Combiners.

I was kind of hoping the MPG Raiden would be close to PotP Predaking height, but seems it wont be that tall. Also it's why I'm glad I have a scaled down KO CW Dev that's made of deluxe bots and scales perfectly with other CW/UW/ PotP Combiners. I only wish someone did Predaking at that scale as well.

UW Dev does look good next to Siege Omega Supreme. But both of Predakings rivals (Raiden and Skylynx) come up a bit short as a result.

No heroic combiner ecan think of really needs to be made at the Titan scale, unless Hasbro creates something new.

I definitely think Tidal Wave is happening next year, either as a Titan or Commander, both sizes would work for him. If he's not the Titan, I wouldn't mind another go at Fortress Maximus that's an improvement over the Titans Return version. I don't think we'll get G1 Metroplex so soon after the Cybertron Universe version, even if they're both very different from each other.

Here's my top picks for Titan:

1) :x Aircraft Carrier Broadside
- I'd also do Haslab on this one, even as a crossover with GIJoe as the USS Flagg

2) :x Titan Tidal Wave
- With kibble that combines with Megatron

3) Grand Maximus re-release
- with a real Pretnder shell for Cerebros

4) Grandus

5) Monstructor
- with Pretender shells

6) Metrotitan

7) Thunder Arrow starship
- Micromaster playset

8) Brave Max

9) Gigastorm
- I'd want a Megastorm figure that fits inside

Titans I am far less interested in:

1) No more ships unless they are playsets. I don't need Titans of the Axalon, Darkside, Quint ship, Steelhaven, Animated Omega Supreme, etc.

2) I don't need a Dark Guardian

Who else would even be a possibility as a Titan?

I'd be down for a Quintesson ship or Cybertron Primus to go with Unicron.

Tidal Wave would also be cool, but I think he's more likely to be a Commander.

...

The first crossover titan as the Enterprise D? I mean if this is just a "I hope we see" thread ... :-D

Hey, if they can do Rocklords next year they can do more GoBots as well. I figure since he'd have Deluxe figures standing in the limbs he'd have to around Titan size to accommodate them. He'd probably be around the size of Devastator or

Also, I'm very much strongly against Grandus being a Titan. He's not a giant, he's a Micromaster base and not even a particularly large one. Him being a titan would require Star Convoy and Sky Garry to also be Titans and they aren't that big either. At best his bulk might make him a Commander Class along with Star Convoy, but Sky Garry would be fine as a Leader.

I would definitely crowdfund a Haslab Enterprise D Crossover!!!

Why am I getting a feeling they'll do a gamer edition version of Fall of Cybertron Metroplex, using a heavily tweaked version of the original mold?

I could totally see Omega Doom as well. /Shrugs

At this point, with the original mold not at all looking like FOC Metroplex, the only thing they could really do is make an all new figure.

We're more likely to get a G1 Metroplex than a Gamer Edition. Not that I think we need another Titan called Metroplex. There was a whole giant planet on the Cybertron cartoon to draw from.

All things being equal shouldn't the next one be Cybertron Menasor? Although I'd want the Quintesson ship more myself.

There were a couple Titans in the cyberverse series, but they were very reminiscent of Metroplex and Fortress Maximus.

And... Now, that I mentioned cyberverse... A titan Class Volcanicus might be pretty awesome.

Many of the Titans in IDW comics looked like Metroplex as well. It's kind of a lore standard. Still, Unlike Seekers and Datsuns. Recoloring a Titan a dozen times isn't really practical.

I love what has been released, but recolored/retooled Titans dont seem to do well, and are very risky a the $200 price point.

I love my Legends Grand Max, but the fact that it failed to get much more than 2000 units backed in a Japan-only crowd fund in 2017/2018 says something. Also I love Black Zarak, but that had a heavily retooled head, and some extra accessories. Still it went on clearance for almost 50% off at some point.

The Guardian Robot is just a straight up repaint, and while it seems to be received fairly well, I have little doubt its price will be dropping soon.

It just reminds me of the power of the OG animated series. If a straight up recolor of a toy based on a character that is supposed to just be a generic troop builder can be marketed easily than say...

Metrotitan (which also would be a straight up recolor), but is a character that only appeared in a late G1 Japanese story pages, or IDW comics (depending on which version of MT you think of).... that really says something.

Primus would easily be a Haslab, if Hasbro was ever so bold,

But for me, while there may yet be several different characters from across the multiverse that could be made into a Titan Class toy, there ae only 2 I would want, BOTH are in my signature.

Not all denizens of the Giant planet were the size of Metroplex. And Legacy Metroplex is still a little short of accurate height so I think they could probably do Menasor and Quickmix as Commanders since they aren't all that complex they could maybe make them a little taller than Jetfire.

But the toys...

People would throw a fit if we ever got another combiner over 12". Even the Masterpiece line didn't dare to make Raiden taller than that, which is a real shame, he should have been a lot taller and really gotten more use out of the size of his six large team members, but didn't.

Titan Class Tidal Wave Revealed at Cybertron Fest 2023 in Singapore

PostPosted: Fri Dec 08, 2023 11:02 pm
by Emerje
After years of demand and and a long wait for a reveal we finally have our first look at Transformers Legacy United Titan class Armada Tidal Wave in all his glory! Our first look comes via several sources including Toy Scope on Facebook, Ben Custom Toys on YouTube and social media platform Baidu user 爱你命三千 (I Love You 3000). Unsurprising the figure is massive and features his cartoon and original Takara toy colors and his two alt modes, Dark Fleet and the massive airship. A little more surprising is he also includes a fourth simple base mode complete with ramp that doesn't seem to be compatible with your sprawling Decepticon cities (but maybe there's a way?), as well as smaller parts to attach to Legacy Evolution Armada Megatron to at least imitate their combined mode and can be added as towers to the base mode. Unfortunately, like Cybertron Metroplex, he will not include his Mini-Con Ramjet but we seem to be getting quite a bit for our money this time around.

We should be seeing him in stores in the summer with a price just under $200 depending on the whims of the stores. We can probably expect a bigger reveal in the coming days and an upload of the video played at the show. Thanks to Seibertronian Rodimus Prime for the heads up!
