Time to feel old. DOTM was 12 freaking years ago. Also, the greatness of the DOTM Cyberverse line.

I randomly happen upon this video:

I remember buying that Ark in store not too long ago. It was on clearance and easy to get. It was never a big thing and it was pretty mundane.

That ark is now many people's childhood memory.

It's even a "grail" to obtain for some.

DOTM and it's towline was 12 years ago.

12.

Years.

Anyone feel old with that fact?

Any users here that got DOTM as their childhood memories?

Also, will we ever see Core Class Studio Series playsets? Anyone have a DOTM Cyberverse display?
I should dig mine up from storage.

Honestly, I don't feel old because of that, it doesn't seem like 12 years. Maybe because DoTM is my favorite of the Bayverse, despite its horrendous mistreatment of both Shockwave and Megatron, or maybe because I watch all 5 Bayverse movies once a year and they're still fresh in my mind.

I do feel a bit older, but it has to do with my mistakes in life, not the time elapsed.

I will say that the DoTM toy line was the beginning of my decline in toy purchasing. Until then, I tried getting most of a line, unless I was really underwhelmed by a figure, but with DoTM I got leader Sentinel and Ultimate Optimus Prime, due to there not being a general release of a leader Prime. Not to mention no leaders for Shockwave and Megatron. I settled for a voyager of both, but going forward, I limited purchases to main line leaders in Bayverse. CW, TR, PoTP and WFC got plenty of my money, though.

To this day, I still kick myself to have skipped on the Cyberverse Commander Guzzle.

I was at Walmart. I had it in hand. It was 10$can plus taxes, the normal price. I put it back.

"I'll just wait for a sale."

Idiot. :HEADHURTS:

Yes, I'm with you. I worked at Wal-Mart in 2011 and saw 1 Guzzle on a peg every day for 2 months. I wasn't trying to collect a lot of the line, so I left him. Then 1 day for some reason I thought "the little yellow guy looks pretty good. Let me get it."...aaaand he was gone.

Then I made the exact same mistake with deluxe Prime Soundwave. :BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD:

After that incident, I learned about the curse of a line's tail-end.
