I dunno if I'll try one out... :-?

Wow, I dodnt know that. Do you now how much they are?

About 10$ each or two for a bit less than 20$.

Got 2, turns out its a bit more than that. Its 2 for 25$, which is actually the same price at BBTS. Good thing is, I paid in canadian $

Now you need a good set of tweezers. The instructions say needle nose pliers, but trust me, tweezers work much, much better.

There was a sale at one point at 2 for 20$ if I remember. If you find them awesome, I may try one.

It won't be till i get home, but yeah. My tip for getting the pieces of is gently wiggling. That was also the most difficult part.

I've been trying to find these pics all morning. I guess I uploaded them to Seibertron and they got lost in the void. I found them on my old phone's SD card.

Anyway I used two different sized needle nosed pliers and a metric **** ton of patience. I want to say it took me a few hours each night over the course of two or three nights.

Image

I used the little ones for small detail, but I popped all the pieces out by hand. I used the bigger ones to make the tab twists or anything that required some extra muscle.

The TF figures probably don't have any rounded parts but if so you can use the rounded/tapered backs of the pliers to make nice soft curves.

But patience is your best tool for this project; I never broke a single part or cut myself once.

Here is my end result.

Yes this!

I didnt break them that way though. Wiggling gently wasnt that tough. I broke them as I was folding them and trying to get the pins in.

And thanks for that curving tip Cary, Soundwave has those cylinder batteries!

Geez. I've had all the TF metal earth kits lying around since Christmas. Seeing you guys try and put them together does NOT make me want to put them together myself.

Welcome to the GUN SHOW !!!!!!!!!

Image

Megatron took forever to get here from Japan. Turns out he arrived in Canada a while back but was kept in customs, with the canadian government even opening him up. I guess a realistic metal life size gun toy might look suspicious. But it was released with 0 taxes to pay

Also, got this while I was at Walmart ;)

Not a big haul, but I got my spare Devastator parts that I bought for my Galvatronus and also Fisitron.

I apologize for the insane lens flare action, sun was just blasting Rack n Ruin through the shades apparently.

I was on the fence until the price on him lowered two or three times, so I snagged him for a pretty reasonable rate. I almost passed because of his hollow back and sides but he actually looks pretty good from the proper angles. Still kinda want the 3P version, though. Legends scale Ironfist is cute as hell.

Yo, Will, tell us what you think of G1 Megs once you have applied the stickers and have transformed him. ;)

I am not sure if I will apply the stickers, he looks pretty awesome all silvery anyways. Reminds mea lot of the current deco on my CW Leader Megs. But I did transform him and it was pretty interesting. Its like a simplified version of MP Megs (which is an over complex version of this toy  ). Its the most advanced G1 toy out there thats for sure. I really like how the legs fold out.

Yay I got a Transformer!
Bought United Jazz for £20 (free postage) off ebay and even though it took nearly 4 weeks to get here (seller explained) it's worth it cos he's pretty cool. I was never a massive fan of Jazz but he stuck out in my childhood mind for two reasons. One was how he was prisoner of Galvatron during Target 2006 and laughed right to his face when finding out Megatron was opposing Galvatron... and the other thing was when he abducted that kid in Man of Iron.. uh yeah.

Anyways the toy is pretty cool. Looks great in both modes, well proportioned robot form, nice articulation and I like the silver paint Takara added. I think I passed on Hasbro's version originally cos I didn't like Tracks much from the same wave (he was a birthday present from a friend so kept him despite not liking the robot mode, especially the chubby torso, and the feet are VERY floppy on mine, but hey he's got a cool car mode!) The Titan Masters stuff is what reignited a lil bit of my old G1 nostalgia so got Jazz and reckon he should look ok next to my pre-ordered Blurr and what other ones I may purchase from that line.

Image

Is it true this Jazz can use the original toy's weapons? Cos if so then I may look on ebay for those too. I like arming up my bots (as long as it's reasonably sensible and non-stupid looking).
By the way am loving Mr Skram's Sidearms Sideswipe stop-motion signature (god that's a lot of S words in a lil space)
