Yup. The "gunstacks" were black, which make no senses. So, I just shot some flat silver on them for instant awesome. Also, I added a :BOT: in the center of the chest piece, clearly designed for that.

BTW, it does come with a pair of regular smokestacks that are detachable for customisation. they are curently pegged on the back of the wings.

One thing I'd like to do is to put the gunstacks on the side of the feet, like the original God Ginrai. I'll have to drill some holes and not mess things up. Then, the regular stacks will be set on his shoulders.

Yeah, happy b-day man! That's a great way to celebrate!

I just picked up Generations Waspinator. I just about gave up on the Generations line, and I found Waspinator on the shelf at Walmart. It just impressed me at 1st sight, so I picked him up. I initially passed on Generations Rhinox, but after getting Waspinator, I decided on picking up Rhinox as well, if only to recreate 1 of my favorite moments in Beast Wars: the moment in "Chain of Command" when Rhinox unloads on poor little Waspinator with both his Gatling guns.

Generations Tankor, ordered from Target.com, arrived today.

I know it's not really a haul, but this is the first toy I've had a chance to get myself in a long time due to certain... money issues... So this is a big deal for me.

I've been eying him for a while. Now I finally have him:
:michaelbay: CONSTRUCBOT BEAST FIRE GRIMLOCK :michaelbay:

The normal 45$ price was too high for me. Then, Target put him on sale for 30$. Then, I had a cuppon for 5$ off effective today. So, at 25$, it was the time to buy the first Leader Class Construcbot toy ever! I'm going to build that beast tommorow with my neice. I'm looking forward to it!

IT WAS DESTINY!

You got Drift and EM Optimus right? I was going to ignore the autobots and just stick to Dinobots but those two (and apparently Galvatron) are worthwhile additions to our collections.

And Kanrabat, I went to that walmart to pick up Snarl but "someone" seemed to have taken the last one ;) Also, that big flip and change grimlock and optimus 2 stand wasnt there, has it totally sold out?

TrU got Snarl a couple of times. At full 17$, of course. Hope you still have that raincheck!
They also had ONE voyager Helicopter Drift. I already have DOTM voyager Skyhammer so I had no reasons to pick him up. However, if you happen to not have the mold, that Drift version have some pretty colors for sure.

Now, all I need from the AoE line is Dinobot voyager Sludge.

Got an interesting haul today.

Finally got AOE Snarl at TRU (And Kanrabat, I still had my raincheck, yes!).

Also gave in to buying G1 toys and got myself an Astrotrain in not bad shape and a wheeljack in pretty poor shape just so I could have him with the masterpiece. After playing around with the G1 wheeljack, I appreciate the masterpiece even more for not only being an homage to the toy, cartoon model, and car, but also to the original toy's transformation. So phenominal! And the astrotrain came with instructions, so that was awesome (what a beautiful train mode). I also got ROTF Longhaul.

So, Will, does you'll finally listen to reason and get a G1 Optimus Prime?

The guy have been remade and reissued a zillion times so it's impossible to not find a complete one with trailer for a relatively reasonable price.

Yes it does Kanrabat, I am totally open to it. However, it being a reasonable price is the big issue here. I got the whole lot above (minus Snarl) for 35$ cdn, which I thought was reasonable, and I like how I stumbled upon them and was not actively looking for them. If a similar opportunity presents itself for Optimus I will definately consider it. Although I dont really need the trailer.

G1's OP trailer is a must! It's not only fun and full of goodies, it complete the look. Also, if you plan to own a MP-10, it's kinda your duty to own the original. You'll appreciate MP-10 even more. Plus, the original G1 OP display so well with MP-10. Finally, G1 Optimus is one of the best TF in term of design and fun from all time.

Unfortunately, having a complete one, even a re-issue, is quite expensive. Still worth the money IMO.

Sweet haul WJ88.

Its great that you rounded up those G1 fellas. That Astrotrain looks pretty good.
You gotta appreciate those old guys, no matter how goofy they are.

... and Kranberrybat is right. One day you gotta get a G1 Prime.

Thanks! The astrotrain is really good, the engineering is pretty solid (the arms are his main flaw) and he's in pretty great shape. I love changing him from a train to a shuttle. I really hope Hasbro releases a new version with modernized engineering but using the same train mode. As of right now, the G1 release is the most accurate toy we have for the comics (I am basing myself on All Hail Megatron) and the original cartoon. The main thing that surprises me most about G1 is the size. With everyone talking about how TFs are getting smaller, they are nowhere near the size of these G1 toys.

Pre-movie G1 toys were all over the place as far as scale is concerned. Because pre-movie G1 toys were from differents companies who did their own thing their way.

That's too bad, because I find the pre movie G1 toys are better in quality than the season 3 G1 toys.

The first run of Diaclone (or G1 wave 1) we're all supposed to be roughly the scale of the Corgi brand toy cars. After that wave it was, "anything goes".

Awe Kranberrybat. You remembered. :x
In my first week in the forums you called me out for Bay-bashing in a conversation about this toy. You really shouldn't have. You're too sweet. I'll PM you my mailing address.

Just kidding.
So despite his extreme shellocity, he's pretty rockin' ya?
