Megatron Mp-5 (to sell or not to sell?)

I've got a question about it. I heard that it was illegal to sell without a orange tip. Which I assume means I'd have to open up the box and stick an orange tip on it.

But then I see Megs mp-5 "un modified" on ebay.

Also, I bought the figure for 185 dollars, and I'm starting to second guess myself for keeping it. hehe. If I sold Megs, then I could buy a Hot Rod Alternator, bumblebee deluxe, etc etc. (I went totally dead poor cuz of ol' megs here.)

I'd sell it for less, but try to get as close to 185 with the shipping, if not AUCTION. He's in great condition. Box too.

But I was wondering what are you all's suggestion on this? Should I sell? Would I have to put a orange tip on it? Or just keep it, it'll be worth it's weight in gold ($185) soon enough.

:???:

keep it. There will be plenty of oppurtunity to pick up the other figures later. I wouldnt trade my mp megs for any of those you mentioned.

Oooook. Well that says that. x3

I got really caught up in wanting that Hot Rod alternator. The red paint job was very tantalizing. lol.

And plus..being this poor is making me go twitchy from the withdrawal. I've always had atleast a dollar in my pocket. But I guess thats what it feels like to become a collector, huh? Or much rather - a hardcore TF toy buyer. lol

[just checked ebay] geh... They are all about 200 dollars too. And here I was thinking I could've gotten him for cheaper. A few days ago he wasn't going for that much. *looks for a fork to jab self with*

A tip for you guys.. don't always look at e-bay.. start looking at other auction sites too, yahoo for instance.. I bought my MP-05 last week along with MP-03 both MISB for the whole sum of €155 for some reason, e-bay's popularity seems to inflate the prices while you can get perfectly good MP's for less than $100 on other auction sites.

Even with Rodimus being so hot right now, you'll probably be able to get him later on down the road for $50-70. MP Megs, on the other hand, is going to be much more expensive in the future than the $185 you paid. I'd never part with any of my Masterpieces for an Alternator or *gasp* movie figures.

It is an item that will for sure go up in value. Sit on it for future profits. Sell it if you need the $.

I believe the "Quantity, over quality" bug bit me for a sec there. But yea, I agree with you all, specially since it hasn't been opened or anything. Bless those American brick and mortor stores who get imports. : )

I got my Mp Megatron around early April at an ebay auction. Got him for 109 bucks plus 12 bucks shipping. Broke two tabs on him in less of a week due to transforming him a couple of times. The tabs on him are brittle. Like the ones on his thigh plates ,and on his trigger halves. He can't even hold his fusion cannon right. He tilts sideways ,and sometimes fall back. I want to keep him ,and possibly repair him if I come across the parts I need. You can't even transform him without the fear of breaking something. He's not even worth the price I paid for him earlier this year when he came out.
