Images have emerged of the Blade attachment for the upcoming Premium Series Optimus Prime.

The blade is retractable, and it would seem that it will replace the Rifle that came with the standard series Leader Class Optimus Prime and Nightwatch Optimus Prime figures.





It should be noted that only the full plastic retractable blade is the one that will be released with the Premium series Prime, as the Translucent plastic version is a custom made blade.

They'd seriously make more money by making them. They could have like autobot sets or decepticon sets or whatever, add ons for the toys, it would be sweet. It reminds me of those things they made for Star Wars when I was younger. It came with like a crap load of guns, lightsabers, and some sort of grapple-hook backpack.

There was even that pimp-my-cliffjumper thing that came out a while ago, people were after it like crazy and it cost 3x as much as the actual figure!

I hope that I can find that sword

I just have to completely agree with you!

Especialy snce they started standardizing rockets and gun grip sizes. (thank you AEC for doing that).

Make all types of guns, swords, replacement rockets, and everything else under the sun.

Sell them on carry cases so stray parts don't get lost(maybe a alt for the case too, like a gun placement or something) like the Sigma6 guys had and yeah that would sell, I'd buy it!

Oh and the should have rounded this witha lightpiping core to blade to make it look more like the movie weapon.

Normaly I wouldn't care, but this is the "Premium Series" so I would like to expect the extra mile...

When I heard about the Blade replacement, I didn't think giant freaking huge blade. I am SO getting Premium Nightwatch Prime now.

Hm, so why is it on Nightwatch Prime? Did he just take it off the Premium Prime and attach it to N.W. Prime? Or will Nightwatch Prime have a blade/a Premium version?

Why doesnt hasbro make accessory packs? Oh i know why then we cant buy the same figure 3 god damn times. If it has the nightwatch colors then ill buy it. If it doesnt then ill try and make a blade for my Prime. Im sure they planed this out this way. They should have made the blade come with the first Prime along with the gun. But no they just want to milk this thing out for as long as they can.

I love that blade! Its the most accurate version i have seen apart from the color of course. I heard the premium LDR Prime will come with a remolded head, anyone got any pics of that?

Joke aside, I honestly agree with the accesory pack idea. I mean, we've had Transformers Playsets in the past (they rampant in some parts of G1 and Beast Wars) and they looked pretty sweet- so why not go with something every Transformer could use? That's essentialy what minicons were too, and those things sold like hotcakes (note to self: make hotcake minicon, it'll sell itself...)

There's that guy that's pushing for a petition to get TF:Animated out on shelves sooner- I say we start one to get accessories for our figures, starting with individual swords for this guy :b
