And I can give a good reason for Powerglide to be and Ultra and Galvatron to be a deluxe. An A-10 Warthog his 53 feet long, a Merkava tank is 24.5 feet. Some of us may not like it, but for once the scale works out.

Yes. I also came to this conclusion while I was watching Jeremy Clarkson test drive the 22.9 foot long Lambo just now.

What's your point? The scale doesn't bother me. And if you watch G1 sometimes Powerglide was huge, so what does it matter. Hasbro has only a few scale size, Deluxe being the most popular, so they try to fit what they can in there.

I don't care if the scale bothers you or not, that has no bearing on everyone else who hates it.

Powerglide was never bigger than Galvatron. Ever. He did turn into a huge jet but his robot mode was tiny, you clearly see how much he expands in the Girl Who Loved Powerglide. And generally, we like robot modes to come first.

Galvatron is smaller than Prime, and smaller than Megatron. How does this make any sense?

I stand corrected...the Deluxe Class packaging for Universe looks great. The Voyager and Ultra packaging is stupid looking.

Though, in all fairness...Movie, Animated and Universe packaging each have their problems. Though...Universe does take the cake...

Some of the Animated Activators actually look pretty worthwhile.

... and a nice close up shot of Headmaster on Bulkhead.

It makes sense because it is an awesome figure. What does scale matter? Correct scale is always off in Transformers and but that's now what this topic is about. It's about the toys of toy fair, there are plenty of others to discuss without getting hung up on one aspect of one figure of the dozens we saw today.

Scale matters to some people, is less important to others. Dumb argument.

Okay. Animated stuff looks great, but has some problems. Supreme Prime is smaller and has a less automatic transformation than I'd been led to believe. Doesn't seem all that more advanced than some of the automorphs we've seen, and Activator Bumblebee is supposed to transform at the push of a button. Supreme Prime almost looks like little more than a scaled up activator.

And what's up with Voyager Prime's front bumper? Is it mistransformed, or is there supposed to be that big a gap between the parts? Looks a bit sloppy.

Laserbeak and Soundwave are awesome though. But Soundwave seems disappointingly short next to Black Arachnia.

does anyone else think headmaster bulkhead looks like he has a galactus head?

also, i noticed something strange for prowl's lightbar..

we have the straight bar like barricade

http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/wizardun ... tftf14.jpg

and the curved v-shaped one

http://toyfair08.asmzine.com/gallery/ha ... _8906.html

anyone know which it will be?

Well, hmmm.
That's one badass headsculpt, but I can't decide if I like his legfs and arms, but that could just be due to the pose he's in...

Don't care for the HeadMaster gimmick at all. That won't be used much, if at all. If that's why he has his upgrades, then I might be removing those missiles and replacing that right hand with another lefty.

I just don't like the look of the HM junk. I do like that it unlocks sound and light features though, that's a neat idea.

It's supposed to be a homage to G1 Scorponok's helmet.

Classics 1.0 had a deluxe Megatron that turned into a tank. But that wasn't the only Megatron they did. Luckily.

Maybe this is the same deal. Have a little faith.

I mean if Hasbro ever actually did get their **** together and produce a definitive collection of G1 toys, I'd probably get out of the hobby after I'd bought 'em all. The way they string us along is by never quite giving us what we want. They're quite happy if we wind up buying multiple incarnations of central characters.

If they said we'd be getting an Ultra class Galvatron, ... maybe they weren't lying?

Good points.

The V shaped strobebar on Prowl looks cheap and crumby compared to the earlier straight one.

Who else spotted the spray of red on Onslaught's spikey front bumpers? My god that looks poopy.

Speaking about that. Alternators might make it back next year, but it's a very small might.

They mentioned that? Sweet. They might use it as the second line to the movie much like Classics 2 will be this year to Animated.

Didn't they have prototypes of a cancelled "Altenators Military" line at BotCon last year?

I recal seeing a Brawn that turned into an of M26 Pershing tank, I think.

That line may not have been cancelled completely but rather had it's development time increased.

Somebody asked about Titaniums and Alternators. Forget about Titaniums, but it seems they'd like to find a place for Alternators to fit.

Wow.

This makes up for everything, everything ever- even the horrible movie. If the horrible movie somehow made this possible, then please make another. If that's what it takes- please, just keep amazing toys like this coming.

Silverbolt finally has a sexy Blackarachnia to... stand next to.

Glad I never bought a classics Megatron- because animated leaderclass Megatron is now classics Megatron.

Classics Galvatron is too cool for school.

Animated Slag, also very cool.

Questions.

-Where is leaderclass animated Prime?
-Where is Animated Grimlock?
-Where is Masterpiece Grimlock?

When will the cassettebots just get reissued as a set? (jk)

Man all that good news, and people still moan. Ever thought they might not have made this Galvie Ultra because they know one is on its way soon?? Geez, i for one couldnt be happier. Thanks for the pics guys. Shame about blasters bomb, but hey, its a new look, so who's to say he cant have a new bot

I have no problem or complaints with a lot of the new molds. Though I do think Jazz is a little off, Bulkhead with the HeadMaster seems kinda..stupid and Oil Slick is just plain ugly and awkward.

I think repaints for Universe right out of the gate is pathetic. Especially when they could've given Blaster his own unique head. I realize they have to make money to continue TFs. I know it has to be lucrative, etc, etc. But they couldn't wait until the second or third waves to fill in the line with repaints? Really?

Beyond that, I was immensely pleased with all that I've seen and heard so far.

So I can't really complain and even if I do, it's outweighed by all the pure win that's coming this Summer and Fall.

I will admit that Galvatron's torso and arms look a little odd to me, but overall, he's shaping up to be a great figure. I'll spend the dough on him, no problem.

I accept that his head is just a simple repaint also, but people are forever saying, it isnt G1 things will be different in new lines etc, so thats what im taking it as. To me this is how Blaster has been made to look, so im cool with that. It is a bit wierd that he's in the classics line, which is supposed to pay homage to G1 isnt it, but obviously not.
