Star Saber and Powermaster Optimus Prime - I don't know which came first, they've been in the toybox since, well, beyond my capability to remember.

G1 Hound, back at Christmas 1984. I was 7 years old!

Mine was, Believe it or not, was RID Optimus Prime!

You all may not believe me, but my first TF was...EVERY YEAR ONE CHARACTER!

Well, maybe Bumper, but how I got them all was that I saved a lot of money for a charity (not to mention, B-Day money and finding lots of cash). But when said charity was cancelled in the same day the commercial of the Marvel comic was aired. And that gave me interest, making me get said characters in the toyline, with spared money used for the Year 2 characters.

FYI, I knew that they were Diaclones at first, because I went to Japan in '83 (a year before Takara and later Hasbro announce the TF's).

I think Skywarp back in 84. I still have him.

Perhaps, but it's a legitimate topic. As for me, I certainly can't remember offhand! But it would have been either G2 version G1 Optimus Prime, G2 Jazz, or G2 Sideswipe.

Hey everyone, I'm new here, collector from Savannah, Georgia. Anyways my first transformers toy was pretty much all of the g2 gobots. The ones they carried at the dollar store way back when, but the first one I remember was the color changers deluge.

Deluge is pretty great, mine's a tad beat up now, haha. He got a lot of play and his color-changing parts are all faded.
The Rotor Force is another subline I remember fondly. Which reminds me, I really do need to try to find Voyager Powerdive.

My first transformer was either G1 Ramjet of G1 Warpath. I was too young to remember which I got first.

Indeed, my deluge has long since been lost, but at SavCon this past summer I was able to grab a gobots from that line, could be better, could be worse, but for $4, it's worth the nostalgia.

First for me had to of been Armada Optimus and Armada Hotshot. Got them for my birthday back when Armada was the latest Transformers series.

But the first one I actually bought for myself was WFC Soundwave

I would not accept any others as my first, he HAD to be the one- so I saved up and got him at Walmart. ^_^

G2 Motormouth was my first one too, but i didn't lose the gun at all. Instead he just vanished along with the gun after 3 long years and i never found him or that gun ever again

G1 Smokescreen, shortly after he came out. I was actually disappointed, as I wanted either Bluestreak, Sideswipe, or Jazz, and none of them were on the shelves - so I had to settle for "Almost" Bluestreak as I called him.

I can't recall if I already posted in this zombie thread, but I'm not about to check the whole thing to see, so if I've already said this before, oh well.

My first actual Transformer was G1 Megatron, but I also previously had a Diakron pre-transformer blue pre-Trailbreaker.

Actually before that one I had a red pre-Sunstreaker, but took it back due to a flaw that made me think it was defective (turned out both of my actual TF Sunstreakers wound up having the same flaw, though) and exchanged it for the pre-Trailbreaker.

First Autobot was G1 Brawn.

G1 Optimus Prime when I was 6. My uncle knew I liked trucks, so he bought me what he thought was just a toy truck for my birthday. He was in shock when I took it out of the box and started to 'break' it and I turned it into a robot (look ma', no instructions and no one told me it was a robot, I did it by myself !).

After that, I was hooked.

I was big into dinosaurs, so my parents got me this strange robot anatomically inaccurate Tyrannosaurus called 'Grimlock'. It was many months before I realized he could transform into a robot, and when I performed the action, I discovered a whole new world.

I needed someone to go up against this 'Autobot', so I found a rival in the form of my first 'Decepticon', the unusually large space gun with the awesome name: Shockwave.

Ever since, they have been my favorite characters and I go out of my way to get whatever molds they release.

i got my first TF - a G2 clench when i was 5..then i got couple of KO transforming robot over the years..but the 1st TF i bought for myself was energon starscream

My fist transformer was the Generation Two Optimus Prime when I was 5. My dad collected during the eighties but had to sell his collection. When he saw that they were bringing back some of the G1 molds he didn't hesitate to buy me Optimus Prime, his first transformer. I've been hooked since. The first transformer I bought myself was the yellow G2 Mixmaster.
