An MP Astrotrain would be awesome with an actual storage compartment with his in-scale minifigs.

I've always been fond of the G1 Cars, so HasTak can make them all as far as I'm concerned. Most of them need it; the original Prowl, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, and Mirage were among the most fragile TFs. Ironhide, Ratchet, Hound, and Skids were just plain poopy. Sideswipe & Red Alert are a step in the right direction.

I totally agree with you on ironhide and ratchet. God the G1 versions sucked.

MP Shockwave is a must. The original G1 toy is pretty much perfect EXCEPT for the legs. Torso and up is just briliant (well the hand could use some work). If anyone just came out with some kind of leg fix for G1 Shockwave I would buy it and call it a masterpiece.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know how much MP Soundwave will cost? Trying to organize my purchases for this year. ^^;

Perceptor
Jazz
Prowl
Sunstreaker
Kup
Blurr
Arcee (non head master)
a proper Ultra Magnus
Wreck Gar
Arealbots

Combaticons
Constructicons

If we can't have all of the combiners, can we at least get the leaders?

G1:

Shockwave

Cyclonus

Mirage (the first TF I ever owned as a kid)

Bayverse:

DOTM Megatron (leader class size)

DOTM Shockwave (also leader size)

Optimus without the massive electronics on his back

DOTM Soundwave, made to be in scale with leader class figs (loved the design, but the deluxe toy was meh)

FOC:

Grimlock!!!

1: G2 Megatron (Tank!)

2: Jetfire

3: Shockwave

4: Ultra Magnus ( hopefully he is a given, and not just a repaint)

5: Mirage

Ok.. I am back and wanted to add my vote for Jazz, and DOTM Megatron( could be Epic if done right).

OH SNAP GUYS...

Imagine a masterpiece G1 Inferno.

Cybertron Optimus Prime-sized Earth mode Firetruck...

Huge rotating ladder...

Super poseable...

And MP Red Alert would be reunited with his [s]lover[/s] partner!

Holy tits that would be awesome.

Edit: No strike-through code on this site? Lame.

Agreed. I also heard some rumblings about a Mirage MP. I too would like a MP Mirage. Very much.

Despite owning the original MP Prime and Megs, and after much debate, I finally bit the bullet and ordered MP-10 (along with all the other MP pre-orders). Now more than ever, I say we need a scaled down G1 Megatron, if for no other reason than to get it out of the way, and move on to all the exciting possibilities.

G1 Blaster - The mod is nearly there already with Soundwave/ Soundblaster, some modifications would be needed. Rewind and Eject are similar in style to Frenzy and Rumble so would just need molds for Steeljaw and Ramhorn.

G1 Ramjet, G1 Dirge and G1 Thrust - The last of the G1 Seekers, molds just need slightly modified for the coneheads and wings, otherwise it be mainly repaints of MP11/MP3.

G1 Sunstreaker - would be nice to fit in beside his twin Sideswipe.

G1 Cliffjumper - Sizewise, the mold wouldn't be too disimilar to bumblebee (MP21).

G1 Decepticons :CON: need more love for the Masterpiece range; Shockwave, Reflector (no idea, how they would combine Viewfinder, Spectro and Spyfinder into one alt.mode), Kickback, Shrapnel, Bombshell, Blitzwing and Astrotrain would be good aditions to the Masterpiece range, as would the 3 other G1 Seekers. This minus Devastator, Menasor, and Bruticus makes up all the G1 Decepticons up to Transformers: The Movie from the G1 Cartoon.

G1 Autobot :BOT: wise: Other than Blaster, Cliffjumper and Sunstreaker. G1 Masterpiece's of the following: Ironhide, Ratchet, Hound, Mirage, Trailbreaker, and Jazz (Licensing issues aside) would make the rest of the First Episode cast, minus the smaller 'bots, as Masterpiece figures. Swoop, Slag, Snarl and Sludge would be awesome as MP figures too.

I'd really dig some non-G1 Masterpieces. Hell, even some later-G1 (from the movie onward) Masterpieces would be a nice change of pace. The brand's got a thirty-year history to draw from, surely there are worthy choices from more than one era?

In particular, how about Prime Predaking, AnimatedOmega Supreme, and Optimus Primal (preferably one of his three bodies from Beast Wars and not his Beast Machines body)?

I think a good trio would be Mirage, Hound and Cliff Jumper.

Whenever I think of the MTMTE pilot, I think of Mirage and Hound, Hound also had that scene with CJ when he fell down the hill, and CJ also accused Mirage of being a traitor in an episode.

MP's not likely, but I think would turn out really cool would be Cosmos and Powerglide.

Honestly, we need some non-Seeker '84 Decepticons to help fill the ranks. Shockwave is #1 on that list, followed closely by Megatron. Also, Reflector. I know Reflector is silly, but a 3-pack MP would really help fill out the ranks.

Wow. Seeing as we've been getting a lot of 'Bots lately, I think we need some Decepticon love! Here are my ideas:

Masterpiece Astrotrain: Slightly larger than an average MP, given how he was a bit larger in the cartoon. Has accurate robot, train, and spaceship mode. Comes with 6 minifigures that may or may not have simple transformations: Soundwave, Megatron, Starscream, Thrust, Bombshell, and Reflector. Comes with a blaster and Starscream's crown.

Masterpiece Megatron V2: Need I say more? A much needed improvement on the MP-05 mold. Dear lord. But keep the accessories! Those were nice.

Masterpiece Galvatron: About the same size as Optimus Prime's second mold. Transforms into a Cybertronian Artillery Cannon, as in the original movie. Comes with sword, crown, and Matrix of Leadership on a chain.

Masterpiece Combaticons: Not sure how this would work, but I think having Bruticus as a MP figure is a necessity, seeing as he doesn't get a lot of a attention. Each Combaticon would be about as large as the Prowl mold, with Onslaught being MP Optimus (V2) sized. They would come with their weapons, and Swindle would have some random spare parts.

Masterpiece Jazz: Would come with his weapon and a new mold. He would also have a small Blaster accessory to jaAm out to.

Masterpiece Headmasters: I think that Masterpiece Brainstorm, Chromedome, and Nightbeat need to happen. I'm sorry, they just do. They have a pretty large role in the recent IDW series, so even if their TRU exclusives, Headmasterpieces would be cool.

So far, this is all I have. I might update it now and then, though.

CombaticonsCombine?, out!

Masterpiece Transmetal Megatron
Masterpiece Predaking (Transformers Prime)

...Okay, really anything from any of the post-G1 cartoons. (Yes, including Rescue Bots.) But that's a pipe dream, the likelihood of any non-G1 character (or any G1 character added in after G1 ended who doesn't share a mold with someone from the earlier run) getting a Masterpiece toy is slim at best. Generations Rhinox is probably the closest they'll come.

Masterpiece Reflector, Kup, Blurr, and Insecticons would be pretty cool, as well.

Mostly Reflector and the Insecticons, though...

More Decepticons would be pretty nice. Especially some of the '85 crew, some really fun possibilities in there. Astrotrain would be fun if they managed a way to make ludicrously big alt modes (trains and space shuttles are big) but the bot somehow ends up decently scaled. Maybe some folding mechanisms, like a more sophisticated version of AOE Galvatron, could be used. I'm no toy engineer, just trying to imagine how that could work.

It dawned on me after reading this. With MP, scale IS an issue, duh. Everybody is in scale with one another. Of course since MP-10. So Astrotrain would be a challenge. I'd be ok with it if he was off a little. I would love to see some triple change action.
I wouldn't mind Mirage, Jazz, or the vans. The vans seem logical because there's 2 guys 1 mold.

Scotty P, if you see this, you posted somewhere about a clear coat you used on Gen Jetfire.
Is the chrome suffering from big BM Ultra Jetstorm syndrome?
Can't find the post with the link again. Where did you post that.
Thanks

I could definitely forgive scale issues with the alt modes if it had a cool looking, show accurate robot mode that was decently in scale with the others. Pretty much goes for any of the triple changers. Although a MP Broadside that turned into a carrier the size of the USS Flagg toy would be a sight to behold.

And for Gen Jetfire, here's the post. The issue mine had was not with the actual chrome, but with the red coating over it already flaking off. The topcoat sealed it up very nicely, though it does dull the reflectivity just a smidgen.
