Posted: Mon Jun 11, 2012 6:08 pmI remember asking in Woolworths (obviously a few years ago now) if they could order something in, that they'd sold out of. I was told that they just got sent stock. They knew the date of the delivery, but not what was in it and couldn't specifically request stuff.
I suggested that certain items might sell better in one part of the country than in another, and that it might be better for them to ship the stock to the places it was selling, rather than having shelves full of stuff no-one wanted. I got a look like I'd just explained string theory to a pokemon.
In unrelated news: Woolworths is now out of business.
