I saw a sale on ebay, and I had the money, and went for it. Did I make out good? Or do you think I paid to much, was this a good deal?

Mudslinger plus Destructicons
Crankcase plus Destrons
Doubleclutch plus Rallybots
Darkstream plus Razorbeam
Stealshock plus Beacon
Searchlight plus Backwind
Smolder (No Chopster)

$39.99 Plus shipping.

Score? Or Fail?

Most of those are good figures, so even if you toss the drones into an accessory bin never to see the light of day, you paid $40 and got six pretty decent scouts and most of their accessories. I'd call that decent.

Much of the PCC line is underappreciated IMO.

I like to fiddle with the drones. But I know what you mean, from what Ive seen, they are good figures. I also have PCC heavytread, cant wait to deck him out. So it was a good deal then? I thought it was, I just hope it gets here soon!

Sounds like an excellent call. Good Show!

Do get Chopster - very nice color; excellent little dude.

Well, it's a lot cheaper than it would've been at retail.

Smolder and Crankcase are pretty cool. Too bad you didn't get Chopster, but Razorbeam is the same mold. Darkstream cannot hold his Minicon in axe-mode (but everyone else can), and from what I gather Mudslinger and Doubleclutch have some QC issues you need to look out for (don't have them myself). Steelshot and Searchlight are OK, not really crazy about their Minicons.

Pretty good and reasonable.

That's cool, actually!

As others have said, you got some pretty good scouts in there.
And you can switch drones around too.

Alot of people dont like the drones, but I find them a sort of guilty pleasure, so fun to fiddle around with. I actually HAD doubleclutch, but I got rid of him due to his flimsy arms, but the drones were fun.

What QC issues should I be on the lookout for? I know Doubleclutch has flimsy arms, but what about Mudslinger?

Mudslinger has ill-fitting thigh joints. They're known to crack under slight pressure.

I'll be extra careful then, thank you.

SCORE! I'm well jealous. I have Chopster though, he makes a great stand in Energo-Axe for any and all Optimus Primes.

I'll be passing Razorbeam around for that. He'll just have to be blue flame then huh?

Well, thanks for the input guys! Im glad I made the purchase, now all that's left is the wait.

Indeed a great score for the money. I don't know if they're MIB, but it's much cheaper than buying them at retail (unless you got those clearanced double packs)

I have to stress you are super careful with Mudslinger. Mine broke at one thigh while trying to plug his drones in. Had to return it for a new one. His drones have been donated to Icepick and Mudslinger remains as a standalone scout. He's transformable though be very careful with those thigh swivels.

This is irksome. Any fix for this issue? A way to decrease the size of the joint maybe?

No clue. As was mentioned, the Leadfoot mold has the same problem. I tried to pop out Leadfoot's arm pre break, but it was without success. In the end I just super glued it into place when it snapped. I never intended to make a torso of him anyway, so it doesn't bug me much; his shoulder joints make up for it.

Now, I just need to get around to painting him a good solid yellow so he'll look like a proper neo-G2 Leadfoot.

Seems to me that you paid a good price, even if no minicons or drones were included.

I got 12 drones and three out of four of the minicons, one of which was a shared mold.

One last update:

They Arrived!

Ok, First off is Mudslinger. I transformed him from truck mude to robot mode, easily enough. Fun transformation, great design, fun colors, cool head.

Decided upon fiddling with the legs, and they seemed fine. Actually kind of loose, I though after all I had heard, they would be really tight. I decided to give torso mode a whirl. Got the combiner head out, arms up, shoulder ports out, waist in place. I got one leg into leg mode, and as soon as I started to flip the other one around, it snapped. Rather easily might I add. To easily. I think the guy who owned this before me super glued it back and sold it to me. Not a total loss, I guess. I still have quite a few more figures here.

Next up, Darkstream. Deceptively easy transformation. One of his wings is extremely loose, but that seems to be a factory defect. Cool jet mode, alright robot mode, awesome torso mode, that is complimented well by the destructicons.

Next on the list, is Crankcase. A transformation that is very simple, yet satisfying. Its believable in both modes, and his torso mode is very, ahh... Menacing. Works well with Double Clutche's Drones, or his own.

Next up is Searchlight. I really didn't know what to think about this guy, really. But after transforming him through all three modes, I have to say, I really like him! His minicon could do better without the translucent plastic, but it makes sense I guess. Torso mode is killer, and works very well with the Destrons.

Next we have Steelshot. Simple, small, big guns, lots of camo, and a bitch'n torso mode. It's made for the Destructicons. His minicon is the same mold as searchlight's, but you can make out alot more detail, as it's not transparent plastic.

Ok, now for Doubleclutch. I used to own this figure, and his drones. He was the one that turned me off of the PCC line altogether, since he was the first one I had. Flimsy arms, lackluster car mode, and couldnt stay together in combined mode.
This version is vastly superior. The arms are tighter and more stable, making a world of difference. Stays together well in combined mode, and he looks sick. Arguably one of my favorites now.

And lastly, my fovorite of the bunch, Smolder. I don't have Chopster, but I have Rasorbeam, who's exactly the same, but blue. He came with Darkstream, but was attached to Smolder in package, wich tells me I bought from another TF fan like me, who think's the same way, so bonus points :michaelbay:
Smolder is killer in all three modes, dare I say flawless. The Destructicons compliment his menacing, hulking torso mode nicely, and with a bit of mistransformation on the arms, you can have elbows in combined mode! (Sort of)

All and all, I'm glad I got them, even if Mudslinger is now dead. Hey, I might cannibalize him for those PCC ports and make a combiner of my own, who knows?

Just to throw it out there, I like to mistransform Searchlight, so he has his normal arms in combined mode. Makes the whole thing look like more of a powered armor affair, I quite like it.
