I havent seen a thread about Crossovers Transformers in, like, ever. So, here I am, making one.

I want to know what are your favorite Crossover figures. Also, which ones are the bad ones, the ones we should all avoid.

Next post, I'll tell about mines.

Id'e say, avoid venom. He's a nice figure overall, and very well engineered. But if your one of those guys who gets really annoyed when parts keep popping off, he's one of the worst.

One of the best (Or rather two) Would be Han Solo and Chewbacca. Chewy is the better of the two, but they are both outstanding figures, and the combined vehicle mode is spot on, gorgeous. And the lights and sounds? =P~

INCREDIBLY AWESOME. GET THEM NOW:

For marvel, is Ironman Car and his superior repaint,Warmachine Car.
Both modes look fantastic. The transformation is easy and intuitive. The best repaint of the mold is the rarer Warmachine. It have better paint aps plus glow-in-the-dark headlights and power-core.
Image

So far, I think the best Star Wars Xover figure yet are the Han-Solo and Chewbaca team that combine into the Millenium Falcon. The vehicle mode is absolutly PERFECT with no robo junk showing at all. It come with cute and nice tiny figurines of Hans and Chewee. As for the bot modes, they look weird at first but let's imagine it's when they dressed-up as stormtroopers for that rescue mission. Also, light and sounds. I got mine for surprisignly cheap. only 25$ brand new plus shipping off Ebay! At that price, you cannot go wrong.
Image
(Beastprowl, Your responce popped in when I was writing this. Glad we agree!)

NOT PERFECT, BUT STILL VERY NICE:

Hulk Tank. A very nice looking bot mode with a funny punching gimmick. I like his "Frankenstein Monster" look. The only thing that make him not perfect is his ho-hum tank mode.
Image

Droid AAT. This one impressed me. Perfect vehicle, of course, but the bot is very well proportionned and is nice looking. Also, a challenging transformation. What make him not perfect is these bits that stop his arms for doing much.
Image

Darth Vader, the fighter. A+ vehicle, even with bits of bots showing underneath. The only thing stopping him for greatness is that weird upper shoulder and neck area in bot mode.
Image

THE WORST. YOU SHOULD AVOID:

The AT-TE. Everything looked so nice in pictures. The vehicle and bot were very promising. The problems started right when I unpacked this ****. The legs were already popped off. They snap back in easely, but they pop back out too easely for no good reasons. The final nail in it's coffin are le feets. So tiny and so forward. How that thing even manage to stand up?! The bot look nice, the vehicle look nice, but the execution suck mighty balls. The lower legs kill a toy that could be so great... This one deserves to be saved with some modding.
Image

Finally the worst. I mean, even counting my whole TF collection, not just the X-overs. The dreadful Republic Gunship. The vehicle mode IS impressive looking and I can forgive the cannons on loose balls because they do shoot in every directions. What is unforgivable is the bot mode and it's very LAZY engeneering. It's just a goddamned shellformer! You open it up and you take out the whole figure from the inside. You are left with a stupid looking bot with very scrawny looking arms and legs. Those puny limbs must support the biggest backpack ever in all TF history. Why the wings did not become the arms and the lower half, the legs? So much wasted potencial here. This one is just sad...
Image

All of my SW X-over except The Falcon and Darth were bought for only 10$ each at Winners. For most of these figures, I would have never paid the 20-30$ normal asking price.

So, any X-Overs you think are very awesome? Should I avoid some other like the plague?

Han/Chewie and Tie Advanced Vader have already been mentioned, and I'll simply concur with everything that's been said. :)

I'm a fan of the little scout-size old series Y-wing Anakin Skywalker. It's articulation is a touch lacking (no bicep swivel, sadly), but he's decent otherwise and he looks good, especially the head scuplt, which is what really screws up a lot of the human crossovers. He's also not some sort of terrible shellformer! There are some robot bits showing in the altmode, but it's not terrible.
He can get a good two-handed grip pose going too, how I typically display him.
Image
It's worth noting that the front of the y-wing splits in half in front of the cockpit and allows his pelvis to swing forward and snap into place.

Only Marvel crossover I have is Hulk, which is a pretty nice figure. Represents the character well.

As far as Star Wars crossovers go ... avoid them all. I loathe and detest every single one of them.

I don't really have anything to give but a small warning about Han Solo and Chewbacca: the latter suffers from GPS, in his upper legs and arms to be exact.

Do you think, in worst case scenario, we could recast these parts via Shapeway?

Never collected the crossovers. But from other pics, my favorite is probably the War Machine. Looks badass.

The Death Star is awesome despite being the epitome of shellforming. The magna guard and TIE bomber are pretty good as well. I liked the Millennium Falcon until is fell victim to GPS. It still works in alt mode so that's how I keep it. The worst one I have is Palpatine, that thing is awful.

The Marvel x-overs seem kinda bland to me, so I don't have many. My favorite is Ghost Rider. I even got 2 so I could have a Ghost Rider rider Ghost Rider.

Don't get too excited, I suspect it's a spambot given that it tried copying my post.

Some people like lots of kibble (I like lots of kibble on some figures). We can't all dislike the same things for the same reasons. ;)

True true, he is pretty nice, I'd pick him up if I saw him cheaply.

These Crossovers never really interested me much, but I did pick up the Marvel Crossover Hulk with the intention or modding his arms n legs for use with RotF Bruticus Maximus, which never happened as I believe it required actually cutting the plastic?
Image
Hes a very nice figure actually which would have looked good painted up as an actual Transformer, maybe Warpath or Bulkhead?

I was given as a gift (honest ;) ) the rather awful Star Wars Crossover Luke Skywalker X-Wing Fighter!
Image
In robot mode this has got to be one of the worst figures I own linked with The Transformers brand! Seriously!
The saving grace for this awful figure is of course the alt mode, the X-Wing Fighter! ;)
Image
I leave this displayed in alt mode as his robot mode (even that sounds wrong) is just plain bad!

Why have they not done a G.I. Joe crossover Transformer line? Honestly, that makes the most sense to me, with the comic and all- Like a H.I.S.S. tank actually transforming to Shockwave.

I've had the Obiwan and Vader episode III starfighter, which I thought were awesome. I also had the AT AT, which I thought sucked.

I generally like the Crossovers, although I've gotten all mine as either gifts or on deep discount (I even got some for free in those Hasbro give aways they do now and then).

For Marvel, I have Venom and Iron Man (sports car) and War Machine from the Iron Man 2 line.

I really like them all equally, honestly.

For Star Wars I have 3 Vaders (death star, Tie Advanced, and basic-size Eta-2), Yoda (Republic shuttle), Captain Rex (AT-TE), Luke Skywalker (X-wing), Grievous (starfighter), Magnaguard (Porax-38), Kit Fisto (Jedi starfighter), and Darth Maul (Sith Infiltrator).

The best is by far the Death Star--it is amazing and a ton of fun. As far as the regular figures go, I like Darth Maul best I think. Worst is probably X-Wing Luke or AT-TE Rex, but they're still fund to mess with.

I never have any interests in any crossovers and owned none of them. I did buy one for my son and totally regret about it. It was that bad that should totally avoid it at all cost. This guy, General Grievous. Vehicle mode is so bad that looks just like a robot bearing a jet backpack. Robot mode looks ugly (as he is already ugly) and hip ball joints are so easily get loose. Poseability is mediocre and the feet design didn't provide good balance.

Personally, I like the Darth Vader to Star Destroyer crossover.

The worst imo are the Disney crossovers...I know they're technically not Marvel or Star Wars crossovers, but I feel I should mention them because they are the WORST crossovers...

Was at Toys R Us and came across Marvel Jumpstarters. Topspin and Twintwist repurposed into Hulk and Iron Man. Thought they were neat.

I've only got the blue and silver version of Marvel Crossovers Hulk (and no, I'm not a spambot :) ). Not bad, but I'd have like a little more length on the legs. As he is, he looks a little too gorilla-esque. But since it's The Hulk, it's kinda fitting.

Redeemed him from customer points at my local hobby store, BTW.

I heard the Iron Man fig that converts into a Humvee is pretty cool, especially if you mod him into a TF.

They're all shite. I loath the crossover concept
