Whats that? The head? Nah, I don't count 5% of its anatomy as making it G1. Not trying to be trollish with my observation, just hugely disappointed.

I call trollish, seeing ur sig ;)

I really hope he's not so Gundam like the first Classics Prime. Chest looks pretty flat which is good. This is the first new Generations figure I see and I already really like it.

Hopefully they'll make a good megz as well. Glad that I didn't sell my whole Generations/Classics line.

it would make a good figure but im sick and tired of optimus, seriously do we really need another one? I know hes the most iconic character in the franchise but still give us a break, but its still better than another bumblebee.

Yeah as a Voyager toy it would be even better, but let's see what Hasbro will show us in the next month or weeks.

The robot mode is really nice, even if it's a bit derpy in altmode. I wouldn't mind having it myself, he's the perfect size for a computer desk! I could easily live with a remold of that.

I agree with Mr. President - Prime. The mold look cool, but in practice, he's even more loose jointed than Titanium War Within O.P. and his double - punch gimmick was...really bad. His had my favorite gun, though!

I was just thinking about something like this. A new mold Prime that looks more G1

I say bring it on Hasbro, this has got me excited for the return of more G1 classics. As to an earlier post about too many Optimus Primes? Naw, you can't have too many.

If it is a new figure, I'm all for it, be it Deluxe or Voyager. Which begs the question: what should I put him under? I already have Henkei Prime for the Leader spot in Classics... Ginrai-san, doko desu ka?

Slightly psyched about this.

Don't fill my brainmeats with thoughts of a possible Ginrai, please.

Where are people seeing two pack prime from that picture? It's completely different. The gun, for example has blue piece on the back with what looks to be windows or more likely, it's part of the trailer attachment in vehicle mode. It does look a lot like IDW ongoing Prime, which I'm fine with. Well drawn and defined character.

Just stay away from the stupid new Megatron design and it's all gravy.

Wanna hear something inflamatory? Perhaps not popular opinion? IDW designed Transformers are artistic abortions.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Love MTMTE and RID, but the character designs are a travesty.

With fully articulated fingers like that, how could I resist. Trollish? You should see some of the photos I havent published. XD

As for IDW designed figs, cool. Can we pic designs that suck less tho? Like Don's Prime and Megs...

:???: But TF Prime designs are nothing but toned down Bayformer design language... ? Sorry, totally disagree. TF Prime designs fit comfortably next to Bayformers and awkwardly next to G1 designs. Solid bricky block'yness vs splintered organic humanoid gundamness.

3 things that we will have to know.

1, is it real?
2, will it be a deluxe or a voyager?
And 3, will it be some exclusive bullshit that only a few select customers will be able to get, or will it have a regular release and be available everyhere?

Let's play the wait-n-see game.

The TF Prime design is the magnificent love child of momma Animated and Poppa Bayverse!

And I'm perfectly okay with that.

OH HOLY FREAKING GOD PLEASE MAKE IT SO!!!! :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK:

And make it Voyager-scaled while you're at it. My Classics Megatron is feeling quite lonely. Or, if Hasbro really loves us, make it a Leader class and have an equally-scaled Megatron to accompany him.

Nah, not too many whatsoever.

The worst part is that Hasbro most likely has released more Bumblebees in the past five years, while this sucker took the entirety of the Transformers franchise.

Heck, they even haven't officially released the "iPod" version of the G1 for the international market yet. As for the gun, reminds me of "Leader One" And that Optimus with the Tomy gun........pass!

I guess I'm the only one who hated the classics Prime mold. The alt mold was passable. The bot mode had so much potential that was ruined by kibble, particularly the forearm kibble. Totally ruins the mold for me. I'm digging this new artwork minus the autobot insignia on the chest. I bet if a toy were to ship that way, a little alcohol and a reprolabels sticker would take care of that lickity split. This could potentially be the figure that ends my longtime purchasing drought.

Wouldn't surprise me if this guy got released. It's rather evident that MP Prime was a smash hit, but not everyone could afford him (never mind finding him TO buy), so it would seem logical to release a standard priced version of G1 (-esque?) Prime in it's wake.

If it turns out to be true, then it's great news to me. I've been really looking forward to seeing some IDW designs made into toys.

But with that said, IMO MP-10 Optimus is pretty much my definitive G1 Prime (not trying to showboat here.) It would still be nice to have an IDW version of G1 Optimus, though.

And some hot glue. That's pretty much what I did to my mini Optimus.
