We have our first official images of Takara Tomy's recently announced Transformers Generations TG-21 Springer and TG-22 Blitzwing courtesy of Amazon Japan. Based on these images it doesn't look as though these will differ that much from their domestic Hasbro counterparts.

We also have a couple of "new" official images of Takara Tomy's exclusive Skywarp. We actually got higher quality official images of this guy back in December, but these are the latest none the less. These come to us from Toy Hobby Market.

Well... that's certainly an interesting shade of... Um... Skywarp you say?

Aren't the ones for Blitzwing and Springer just reused Hasbro images?

Those are the Hasbro one with a different watermark. Maybe there won't be much difference?

Yeah, a decent amount of his gunmetal gray needs to be closer to black.

I concur. Can anyone here spot any differences between these and the Hasbro stock photos?

I'd do it myself, but the public computer I'm using is on a time limit.

Aside from the obvious kanji, definitely the Hasbro stock photos.

That colour scheme for skywarp reminds me of war within's air warrior drones or cybertron skywarp not g1 skywarp.

All of that purple should be black except for his feet and fists if you want a G1-esque Skywarp.

The Japanese kanji says "image is of the over-seas version"...so... Hasbro's.

Wait, so are these going to be Hasbro imports to Japan, like Hasbro MP Starscream USA version, which was released in Japan?

Doesn't Springer's body porportions seem a little of? I mean he looks to have bulky arms and slim torso and legs :-?

It's more like a "these are for reference only" statement.

Still better than the proportions of Highbrow, who had some severely disfigured arms.

But then he would have no purple at all. :???:

All I was saying it just to take this toy and having most (but not all) of its gray changed to purple.

I like the idea of using him as the purple clone. This encourages Hasbro to do him in more traditional Skywarp colors. Sucks though any Hasbro Skywarp will be missing the metallic paint.

it really sucks because if we do get a skywarp then he will be an exclusive to one place in some way, shape or form. when was the last time we got a skywarp that was distributed every where?

All 3 shall be mine, and yes, those are the stock Hasbro images. I'm sure Takara's will look different than the Hasbro versions just like every other Generations release they've done this year.

Dont forget Walmart exclusive Movie/ROTF Skywarp. I dont count Walmart as being an "exclusive" because Walmart is about as retail as you can get. I mean, who doesnt have a Walmart within at least ten miles from them ? Those Skywarps were shelf warmers for 6 months...

You'd be surprised. I've gone on vacation to certain towns that didn't have any Walmarts nearby. The small town locations were the most common ones devoid of Walmart. Drove me nuts to find that the most interesting shops they had were old-fashioned "General Stores" that felt like Cracker Barrel giftshops.

I'm from Australia, no Walmart's for me
But nowthat you mention it, i think David Jones carried them here. Was that the one that was released concurrently with Ramjet? If so, you're right, i think we did see them here.

Oh my Glob that Blitzwing!

I'm literally drooling, he's shot right to the top of my want list. Does anyone know what the release dates are for these guys in the West?
