Which other prime are you talking about?

The Classics style Legends Prime, I would assume.

Now that is Legends figure worth getting! His body will personaly serve as a reborn version of Henkei/Classics Prime! His weapons look awesome too!

Now all we need is a Voyager version of this guy (along with a new Voyager Megatron), and we'll get some cool stuff in 2013-2014! Until San Diego Comic Con comes, I'll get this guy and look at this cool photo.

You...you DO realize they've been doing that for awhile, right? Did you glaze over the entire Dotm and Prime Commander lines? The only difference, articulation wise, bewteen this Optimus and Prime Commander Optimus is balljointed knees vs hinge knees.

Edit: Okay, -technically- Prime Commander Optimus has a double-swivel for shoulders, but the range of motion is equal to that of a ball joint. I figured I'd mention it so nobody calls me out on it, but there's no functional difference between the two, really.

Commander class figures for ROTF were good, but when they downsized to Cyberverse they seemed to stop giving them neck joints. I figure that can't look anywhere but straight ahead has very limited poseability.

1) ROTF still had the Scout class.
1) Dotm CV Commanders and Prime CV Commanders are the same size. (not necessarily an error you made, but I'm pointing it out anyway)
2) There are some Commander class figures that have a neck, Prime Commander Optimus Prime and Bulkhead, for example, though you're right in saying quite a few don't that really should.

Also, none of the Dotm Commanders that I know of have neck joints (I think Guzzle -might-, someone is welcome to confirm or deny that).

The only figure from DOTM that has neck movement is Shockwave, that I can think of.
And ROTF Legends Soundwave, I think.
The earlier stuff was more basic. The class size has really grown
from where it started, so..

Scout class was bigger, so I dont think of them in lines
of CV. They dont count. Yeah, for articulations sake the CV
may not be what some are looking for. They are affordable for almoat
anyone, while being a good representation of the respective characters
in both robot and vehicle modes.

I personally dont like the truck mode for Prime here, its the spoiler , I think. But.. I gotta have it :)

Ding! You're correct! The other Prime was just a little red block.
