Wolfman Jake wrote:Good luck with the "Comic2013" discount code. Usually, HasbroToyShop won't let you use discounts on their "exclusive" items, and their FAQ for SCDD 2013 confirms this. Although, that said, I was able to order Platinum Edition Predaking from them with one of their 15% off coupon codes.

I won't even chance it then. You can loose items before you finalize the order.

Unless you're just in it for Metroplex, I wouldn't worry -too- much. I don't see the other two moving crazy fast. You'll probably have at least a few hours to get Shockwave and a few weeks to get the Action Masters.

In for Metroplex and Shockwave's Laboratory (which I always sing in my head like Dexter's Laboratory). Anyway, heading out. Time to put my hypothesis in motion. Good Luck.

Best of luck to all! Remember, this may be a pain in the butt right now to deal with HasboToyShop, but it's nowhere near as rage-inducing as trying to order from MattyCollector.com. ;)

Nope front page on this very site. Jetfire WAS a Veritech so they might have a case

All they have is Robotech so they protect it well. How much longer should we wait until we call it a day? Not sure things are going up now.

They only exist due to some California judge interpreting copyright law terribly wrong and handing Harmony Gold lifetime rights to everything Robotech, and by extension; Macross in the US. Harmony Gold is the sole reason Macross' Japan publisher refuses to work with US companies, and Harmony Gold always interferes somehow when they do.

I'm only sitting around another half hour, because real life will beckon at that point.

But they were okay with the Classics version? Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of Robotech, but this seems ridiculous.

Hrm....maybe this is the reason for the delay in opening up orders. And if they do, this news might get peoples like me to purchase this set.

Classics was ok because it looked different enough and transformed differently. This is REALLY close

Eh, the only thing I see close is the shape of the booster itself. Maybe the paint scheme, though I'll have to go back and look at Rick Hinter's pre-Skull Squadron VT and see.

Of course, part of me hopes this comes through as payback for Hasbro actions like that in one of my favorite cartoons as a kid, the Mighty Orbots.

The original Jetfire was based on the VF-1S Hikaru edition from the Macross movie Do You Remember Love. The VF-1S was done up in Hikaru's colors.

I don't think Harmony Gold has rights to Do You Remember Love, do they? The paint schemes from Robotech and Jetfire are different, though not by a lot. We'll see how nitpicky a judge gets with the claims.

Well gents, this is it for my waiting around. Got to do actual work at work now. Good luck to anyone still waiting if they do go up this afternoon.

The Mech on the Veritech card is not the VF-1S it's the VF-1J which is what Rick Hunter flew until he became Skull commander. In the cartoon the jets colors never changed, it was only changed for the movie. The original Jerfire toy was just the DYRL VF-1S in a TF box. Some even came with the Macros kite on the wings.

I would assume HG can control EVERYTHING Robotech/Macross.
