Wonder why he went with Gentei! Gentei! Thundercracker of the much nicer looking United Seekers: Aces Thundercracker.

Probably because the colours match this Thundercracker more.

I like the orangey cockpit a bit more than the clear/white cockpit, but not enough to make that huge a difference.

Neat, but not something I'd be into.

I envisioned something different. Maybe it's the lighting but yeah just a luke warm fire.

i noticed the dinobots all have this weird bright colors for the toys but from everything i've seen in the trailers and pics of the actual movie, they look completely metallic. do they get a paintjob once they become official autobots or are the colors REALLY muted or they just aren;t finished in the trailers?

Wow, I think the red plastic makes the LED bleed-through WORSE... Cool paint though, wish it were a US release.

Regarding the movie, I don't think we know yet, but remember ROTF Ravage was realsed in G1 Colors before his deluxe movie toy as released in his actual movie pain scheme, and we're getting Evasion Mode Prime in bright and new paint depite the acutual trust being faded, rusty, and possibly even different colors.

But this Grimlock is not actually of the Movie line, this is Fall of Cybertron grimlock being rleased in a magma-inspired paintscheme originally made for the Animated Grimlock Activators figure. So don't think this is possibly what Movie Grimlock will be painted like, cause this is jus Takara throwing around paint liberally.
