Transformers AOE main toyline. your thoughts?

Hey everybody Warstorm here reporting in from Cybertron and wanting too talk about the
Transformers Age of Extinction toy line personally I don't think I like the look of grimlock all too much not because of the horns but the samurai appearance in general mainly the tall spike/fin protruding from his robot mode head but that's not too say I don't like the Dinobots in general im rather fond of Strafe the two headed Pterodactyl yeah I know it looks almost nothing like Swoop as Swoop is Red and Grey then there is Slug a purple triceratops is kind of weird but looks alright too me we would probably see a dark metal repaint of the Dinobots anyway

then there is that Spinosaurus im rather fond of that Dinobot as well but the legs seem rather thin oh wait just found out the Spinosaurus is called Scorn nice name but it does seem that the Dinobots look more like Dinocons at least that's what I think of Strafe and Scorn pity there will be no Dinocon's

well the toys I will make sure too pick up will be

-Dinobot Strafe
-Dinobot Scorn
-Dinobot Slug
-Dinobot Slash

other than that maybe the main villain
im most not going too pick up any of the other Autobots
but other than all that I like the design of the boxes there rather nice too look at
at least in my opinion

and does anyone know when these toys will be released ? im eager too pick them up

So far, for me it's a big huge PASS on everything except G1-style Prime and the Freightliner Argosy, whoever it may be. So far I read it's Galvatron. In the end, I leave judgment up to my future self who has the figures in-hand.

Might get the Dinobots depending on how they look once I've seen some better in-hand photos or, better yet, get to see them in person in stores.

Drift looks kinda cool. Love his alt mode, so he might be the one and only car that I buy. Crosshairs looked AWESOME in the trailer, but the figure... not so much. Maybe if they made a Human Alliance-scale version...

In the Age of extinction photogallery there is a picture of a giant grimlock with a mini Optimus Prime sitting on him I really don't like the look of it much which reminds me

on a side note if you've seen Leader Class: Grimlock then you probably know what im talking about its back has no curve to it or at least very little this toy should at least have a hump along its back hmm not too mention th actually body seems a tad too long for its legs

and hey if anyone is interested in getting movie grimlock but want a more original look just give the snip too his rubber horns

The toys are scheduled to come out in May, just like DOTM did.

I'll probably get most of the deluxes. I like all of them so far. I'll also get G1 Prime and Galvatron, and probably Grimlock although I'd rather have the leader. And unless I can get the leaders on sale for pretty cheap I'm not going to get Prime. I like the look of the First Edition better.

What sucks though is that they already have a pre-set number of figures from each class, and the two leaders we saw are the only ones we're getting, so yet again there will be no Decepticon leader, and no leader Hound either. There's also no chance of the cancelled DOTM figures to be released this time around since they're using all-new molds for this line.

truth be told im not all too sure about those two figures

Optimus Primes truck mode could do with a bit of an extension too the back of his truck
and his fuel tanks ? could do with a bit of an extension too and its long gun could of easily
be able too be tucked under the cab

and for the argosy it looks part shellformer too me
and I too heard to heard the argosy was Galvatron as well
but Galvatron a truck? that's just not right

I'm already committed on getting all of the Dinobots, because I loves me some Dinos. As for the rest, maybe the new cast characters. I already have too many Primes and Bumblebees (imagine that).

Yeah I would of loved getting a Leader Class DOTM Megatron don't think we will see a leader class of a Decepticon this year either

AOE toys look much better than DotM toys, a little better than Movie 1 toys, and not as good as RotF toys.

That being said, I may buy a dinobot here or there to put with my Beast Hunters gang, but I'm essentially out for this line.

The Dinobots are pretty cool don't know why the toys are in different colours though and maybe there robot forms could do with some work at least for some

A little better than the Movie toyline looking back the Transformers 1 Toyline was horrible compared to RotF & DoTm & AoE

Umm... it's kinda simple. When it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere, it's Winter in the North, and vice-versa.

No Cyberverse, no thanks.

... well, maybe Crosshairs, depending on how well he turns out. Maybe some Dinobots? I dunno, they'd really go great with the Prime Predacons, but since I only have those in Cyberverse size I really don't want to get something that wouldn't fit in scale-wise.

Not really partaking. Maybe a Dinobot or two, but will likely avoid this like a plague.

Simplified knock-offs at a premium price. No thank you very much.

Hopefully there will be a toyline of the dinobots made for the older generation more complex in transformation, structure and detail

I wonder if MB will make a live action TF movie based on Predacon's and Maximal's would be a good change for once

There is. That's what we're talking about - the MAIN toyline for AOE has Dinobots with the traditional level of detail and transformation. The so-called "simplified knockoffs" are not the main line; that's the Robots in Disguise line for younger kids.

Just reiterate, we'll have two main lines for AoE: Generations and Robots in Disguise. Generations will have the traditional Deluxe, Voyager and Leader sizes (though to be fair the Leaders do have simplified transformations like the Weaponizers before, and Leader Prime is different from the FE one), while Robots in Disguise will have the gimmicky figures, like Flip & Change, One Step Changers, Power Battlers and so on.

Just because I'm so nice, here's the lineup for Generations:

Deluxe
Wave 1

High Octane Bumblebee
Crosshairs
Dinobot Slug
Dinobot Scorn

Wave 2

Autobot Drift
Dinobot Strafe
Dinobot Slash

Voyager
Wave 1

Evasion Mode Optimus Prime
Grimlock

Wave 2

Autobot Hound
Galvatron

Leader

Optimus Prime
Grimlock

Thank you Gold.
They really shouldn't of made some of the other transformers so hard to transformers like DotM Optimus Prime and Jetfire actually I find most if not all the movie line transformation instructions impossible too read but then again parents shouldn't give children the more complicated transformers and I really don't like the so called RiD toyline and most of the mechtech transformers had horrible weapons except for maybe Shcokwave's cannon and Megatron's Fusion shotgun

what needs to be done is a general toyline for adults not related to the movies but transformers in general for very well designed decent looking and complicated transformers based on Cybertronian designs and real world designs
