It seems Hasbro Studios are trying to shake things up a bit in their corner, hiring a new, and seemingly well-established, head of development in Josh Feldman. He has development credits for the X-Men series and the Fantastic Four movies, as well as already working with hasbro on Magic: The Gathering, for FOX. The full piece at Variety can be found here, but check out a snippet below!

“With his tremendous experience in brand-focused film storytelling, Josh is ideally suited for this role as we look to expand our feature business,” which includes a third “G.I. Joe” film, Davis said. “His focus will be on both our franchise and new brands in live-action and animation, and Josh will work closely with the studio’s TV development, brand, design, digital and licensing teams to deliver full storytelling integration across our brand blueprint.”

Be afraid. Judging by how the production of the fantastic four movie (barring the quite good choice of casting Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm), they dont understand the identity of the projects they work on.

wait hold on a second, magic the gathering is getting a movie (tv show?)? oh they better stick to the lore of the game cause if they dont they'll see a bigger outburst than what they got with transformers.

But anyway im not sure what to make of this, what does this guy even do? And having x-men & F4 as your working credentials isnt that awe inspiring, yes most of them were good but they are not the shining example of how to do comic book movies. I highly doubt this guy is going to make prime stop being a psychopathic murderer & the gijoe guys try & cast the roles correctly so dont get your hopes up people.

Why would you not want Optimus to be a psychotic murderer? It's what sets him apart from the rest. And it's already been established that Optimus in the movie universe is a ruthless mofo. Taking that away from him would be stupid and make him just as boring of a character as every other iteration of Optimus. Besides maybe Animated Optimus.

But Prime is not psycho like at all do you ever see him take pleasure or indulge himself with murder?

He is just ruthless in his fighting tactics like pretty much almost every other robot in the movies

He just does it best because he is Optimus freaking Prime

Every kill Prime has ever made is for the greater good like the Decepticons caused a genocide and the death of their planet and doomed their own race they deserved to die unless they realizes what they ave done is wrong but even then just because someone like say Drift realizes the errors of his was does not mean he should get away scott free.

This article doesn't mention the movies. It's about Hasbro Studios, as in "the people who made Transformers: Prime". Also, I'm pretty sure you're the only one who sincerely likes psychotic face-taking Prime. The way he's portrayed in the Bayverse movies actually makes him more boring IMO.

Movies are included as well.

And bullcrap on the way Prime is portrayed in the movies

Optimus is not a psycho his battle methods are just brutal you dont see him in his own room with Decepticon limbs and faces scattered now do you?

The cons deserve to die and you must be delusional if you think otherwise.

he only took one face in the movies which was the fallen back in ROTF which was the worse.

Aoe and Dotm Prime is more interesting then Prime Optimus will ever be.

there is no such thing as "the only one"

He's only that blatant about it with the Fallen. He killed Bonecrusher by putting him in a headlock with his left hand over his face and prying his head off with his sword. Then crushes the side of his face before throwing his decapitated head to the ground. He kills Grindor by stabbing him in the face with both hooks and pulling it apart. To kill Megatron he put his axe through his face and ripped his head off. Movie Optimus really does have something against faces. He may not rip them off every time, but he sure does target them. With the Fallen that's four prominent Decepticons he kills by doing something to their faces. He isn't much better about Lockdown, either.

As long as there is no good director for the movies, I don't see new Head of Development so much changing.

Also, I'm suprised that discissuion about Prime's brutality moved now here.
