And to those that hate Michael Bay, remember that he's not doing so much of the writing. Thank God, because ROTF was pretty unbearable for me. But DOTM was a step in the right direction. Not perfect, but the movies ARE targeted for everybody, not just the fans. And Michael Bay is good at what he does...and what he does is blow things up for real.

Anyway, they'll be taking my money when it comes out!

I agree with ya.

As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet.

However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.

So...am I the only one who read this and thought about the first Dreamwave mini-series?

Interesting point. But Lazarus resurrected the actual Transformers. Not necassarily pushing technology beyond control, although the transformers were such. I'm thinking more along the lines of...Skynet, or the Matrix, where humans create machines that later want to kill us?

But I could be wrong. Who knows? This could just be false, misleading and typical Bay-fashion untrue stuff.

Yes. All you need to do is see what he did in Transformers 1, 2, and 3. And then that bright idea about making the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aliens. So yeah, you're right: This is Bay we're talking about, and that's exactly why we're dreading what he and his team will come up with.

I really hope it isn't Unicron. With the direction bay took with the fallen, this could easily be Galvatron, except Galvatron really looks like a space ghost with transforming tentacles that electrify planets with its hair... or something retarded and completely out of left-field. I don't know what to expect, but I definitely ain't expecting much. But yes, hopefully it makes money just so that the franchise can get some more cash and hopefully we get more generations figures, or cybertronian (game) figures. It's really about the figures for me. Story? I'll take the comics, thanks.

Btw, someone mentioned something about wanting innovation? You know, true innovation is making a new movie based on a new idea. If your going to rehash an old idea/franchise, the goal should be to make it better, not simply more accessible. Animated is my example. Different art style and timeline, yet better storytelling/sound effects/voice acting/etc.(than G1)

The turtles being aliens seems to be just about being more accessible (or comfortable for the average movie go-er) in seeing these creatures as just foreign species. NO! Turtles isn't about being "realistic", its about teenage, MUTANT, ninja **** turtles.

Lets see....Yes...Yes I do. Because this is Michael Bay.

And if he doesn't somehow screw Unicron up, the rest of the movie will be.

BAY-splosions!!!!

That's what I want the damn movie to be in the first place.

I'll agree that Bay should probably not talk about...well, anything. He really is a nut, but as long as these films make HUGE money for Hasbro, then I can keep buying my toys.

And yes. Bay-splosions are fun to watch, mostly.

It has to be Unicron. But I want to think out of the box, so...
How about Tornedron? He technically somewhat has a slightly almost important history as Unicron (Ok, not at all), and the CGI budget may be able to pull him off halfway decent (It won't though).
But that's just my optimistic opinion!

My guess is that after all the damage and death in the last movie that the Decepticons inflicted on the human race Optimus thinks maybe it is time to leave and either create a new home or go back and restore Cybertron. He does this out of guilt because he promised to protect them and he couldn't plus Megatron is dead and the Decepticons are no more so they felt in the way and a reminder of the carnage.
So these "businessmen" probabaly get a hold of some of the Decepticon wreckage and try to reverse engineer it to build drones or robot soldiers that they could sell to the military. However it backfires and end up reactivating some of the cons who end up taking over the factory to build more Decepticons.
One more thing, before Optimus leaves he deems Megatron to dangerous to leave behind so he takes him with him and give him a burial in space. As he is in space he is found by Unicron and is revived by him to make a deal with Unicron to exact revenge on the Autobots and humans for his defeat. Unicron agrees because he wants to devour Earth afterwards.
Then again I'm only speculating...... >:oP

Lord Zarak with Scorponok. I know we had Scorponok already, but that didn't stop Michael Bay from calling Brawl Devestator in the first film and then making him in the second one. :-B

Does this mean we might be getting Headmasters/Powermasters/Targetmasters? Because that could be a good way to have human main characters and have the Transformers with more personality.

Ancient, powerful Transformer menace, eh? Hope its not Unicron...

Assuming these vague details are accurate perhaps humans could somehow discover the Masterforce. The ancient menace could be Devil Z (and MegaZarak or BlackZarak). How many Americans were exposed to Super-God Masterforce? Sure, that would be far more creative than anything used to date, but with a few tweaks it could be a great story that makes humans the central figures AND transformers with some backup from Prime and a few Cybertronian transformers. Of course, this won't happen. >:oP

The movie will be filmed from April to September. Then it will go through post-production until most likely next June. That's 15 months. Of course, NOTHING can be changed about the script in that time.

I LOL @ all the Bay-haters who have their pink panties in bunches right now. Over a line that's not even officially from the producers.

Eh, don't matter that they release any plot points from TF 4. Cuz everyone knows full well that like the other flicks, there won't be a plot. It's gonna be a jumbled mess of cool lookin' robots with zero characterization, stupid Bay-splosions, and a stupid teeny-bopper love story. Meh  . At least they got rid of Shia the Beef and added Mark Wahlberg, he's a decent actor.

The other movies did have plots. I swear it's like no one ever pays any attention to anything when they watch a TF movie.

I concur, even though I really don't care for the movies. I find it very ignorant when people say there's no plot. Sure, you can joke about it, but being serious about that claim like this guy is making evident means the claimer in question is superbly under-analytic.

It's a shame they've plumped for Bay again. DOTM was an inprovement and it did well in spite of the awful, awful dialogue but it was time for a change. Bay staying on is like Paul ws Anderson staying on board the Resident Evil films...they make money and have tons of action but they're simply garbage.

FYI: We have been asked to remove the plot points from our news feed, so this is effectively an "Filming Confirmed for Detroit" thread now. But I think you've all got the info committed to memory by now.

And he is Hitler.
