That'd be HA Icepick, who yes, turns into some approximation of a chainsaw.

Ah, I see. I wasnt keen on their respective 'bot or alt modes but the third 'weapon' modes are sweet!
They had both of these down my local B & M Home Store not long since so I may have to take a wonder over?

The only HA basic I ever managed to pick up was thunderhead, the peculiar fella who turns into a walker-type-thing and an exo suit
Very odd but overall nice, and his rifle is so brilliantly standard that it works really well with most anyone-I think fireburst prime has it at the moment.

None of the HA guys really appealed to me til I actually got one and realised how nice they were. I got Half Track, because moon, and then got Whirl and Tailpipe. I'd like to get Icepick just cos he was one of the only decepticon ones and I don't wanna touch that Drag Strip...

Moar chainsawness and gatlingness!
But Mel you should check them out. The bot modes
are nice.
And you can fiddle around to get a lot of exo-suit modes.

yeah, I'm a big fan of the HA Basics. I have that "god-awful" Dragstrip...sure he's not the G1 guy, really, but I like him despite his various flaws. There's some cool ways you can pose him, and his colours are very nice. I think of him, and PCC...Whatsisname...as members of the same race team as Dragstrip, sort of his flunkies, who weren't good enough to join the proper Stunticons, but who have still ended up joining the Decepticons because their hero Dragstrip did.
Did the 3rd wave of these guys ever come out? There was that red motorcycle looking guy that I really wanted to be my pre-/post- Action Master Rad.

I have never seen Reverb or Crosshairs at retail, no.
Which is a shame, as you say, as Reverb does look pretty nice.
EDIT: I went into town, aiming for the shop where I had seen RtS Legends, finally wanting OP and Megs - and of course, all they had (for £2.99) was Gold Bumblebee. Three racks of him.

the cartoon head on that Gold Bumblebee really cost Hasbro my all important £3.
I have the Megatron and really, it's only cool because of the idea of it. It's actually not a very great toy. Suppose for £2.99 it's okay. I might have paid a smidgen more than that. I don't remember. Looks nice next to FP's Quake though.
There's a pretty decent likelihood we'll get the upcoming Legends targetmasters so you can get the Prime from that lot. Or there's probably a lot of the RTS version (or any of it's bajillion repaints) on ebay. In fact, I think the TakaraTomy line is putting that out again in another vaguely different colour scheme.

The RtS Legends are cool little figures, specailly if you've got a city bot to display them with. Currently my Prime and Megs are sat on the papercraft arms micron sofa atop my desktop.

Armada Jetfire arrived today, so when I get home I'll be swapping out the trailer pants to display Jet/Magna Prime! Will also have to see how well Energon Ultra Magnus combines with Jetfire!

Norwich's TRU has nine MP Optimus Primes. Full price (£99.99).
They look so sad, warming that shelf.
I'm worried that if no one takes them, we might not get a good shipment of Soundwaves when those hit.

If TRU thought about knocking down the price, I'd be more than tempted to snap one up (well, from my local that is, which I've not been into in months). I mean I'm not saying it's bad value necessarily, it's just freakin' expensive. And yes, I'm also kinda worried about price/distribution of Soundwave, when he's finally released over here.

I might yet cave and pick up MP Prime. A price drop, or special offer might encourage me. Going to have to see if there's still any kicking about my local after I get paid. (or maybe the time after that depending on pre-orders)
edit: been thinking a bit about City Of Fear lately, and then Va'al reminded me of DOTM Guzzle...so a question: Any cars that I could repurpose as Sizzle and Fizzle, the Sparkler Mini-bots? Thinking Scout size, preferably both in the same style, if not outright repaints (I know the originals weren't but their colours got so confused in fiction that they might as well have been)

Ahh, i remember reading City of Fear as a kid, and then again when I got the trade paperback a year ago!
As for Sizzle and Fizzle, hows the cybertron Clocker mold work for you? it is scout size and already has numerous repaints (blue, red, and the original white+tal).

I must say MP10 has been the first masterpiece I've genuinely got excited by. I almost bought one last month, but it's so hard to justify spending 'undred nicker on a toy.
Even if it is that beautiful.
Oh well, I'll get by with my mint G1 OP.
Just ordered myself an RTS Grapple finally. He's under 20 quid on amazon btw, if anyone wants one.
Now to wait for Hoist so I can have them bum
around town astounding people with their engineering know how and astounding architectural works.
Gonna Holmes and Watson it up with these roboys. (That's who I always thought they were like)
And make me a flippin solar power tower.

Grap
pel is a lovely figure and no mistake. He's chunky but not too cumbersome-although for whatever daft reason HasTak remolded the arms from inferno, and in doing so decided to remove the wrist rotation or ability to hold anything. Huh, go figure.

considered Clocker. a red one and a blue one could work. the chunky pipes on his arms/doors could be the Sparkabot gimmick (in my head) but was hoping for something newer, and less in-demand. People (understandably) love them some Clocker.

Anybody got a chain called Factory Warehouse near them? I'd never heard of them and they don't seem to have a website but according to my facebook contacts they've got the DVD wave of Prime deluxes. That should be the assortment with 2 Vehicons per case.

Not sure if anyone else has seen this yet, but the Beast Hunters first wave is up for pre-order on thetoyshop.com. Deluxes are £13, Cyberverse Leaders £9, and Voyagers £23. The release date on the website is 30th May, which means we should see these puppies turning up all over this place in the next couple of weeks

Some alternatives could be:
the HFTD Oil Pan/RotF breakdown mold
DotM Evac
RtS Windcharger

Picked up a Steve at my local Entertainer for £10, only one there but overjoyed that I have one at long last
Also got a Thor figure at half price. Accidentally decapitated him within a minute of getting him out of the box. Oops.

He's awesome. I got him on the buy one get one half price deal and had to put the other one on Ebay. It went for £93 and I got a £10 coupon (from TRU) too so technically I got him for £47. Bargain I say. Used the coupon to get Thundertron for £4.99. Just a thought.

Well, Soundwave came out after MP10 and I did say
first masterpiece that I got excited by.
Soundwave looks divine, but I'm just not really a Soundwave fan.
Also, bumhats, I would've got Hot Spot if I'd known about Grappel's hands...
Way to go AP...

And yes, but Hot Spot doesn't come with the ridiculously massive and awkward but still barrels of fun crane arm.
