Legacy Jhiaxus and Studio Series 2022 Wave 3 Deluxe Found at Gamestop Canada

With Toysrus Canada having fallen from grace with very little Transformers product available, being late with releases and charging higher than any other direct retailer (winning strategy right there), the only two Canada wide brick and mortar locations left for new Transformers is Walmart and Gamestop. And Gamestop happens to be where Transformers are found first and that is why these new Canadian sightings are from Gamestop and why that will be the case for most new sightings of mainline toys in Canada. Jhiaxus has been found there, as was deluxe Sidesways from the third wave of 2022 Studio Series deluxes.

Unlike Walmart and Toysrus, Gamestop is just as likely to get solid cases of new figures than assorted cases. So while Sideways and Jhiaxus were found there, you may not see their fellow wave mates. The image below is from a Montreal location.

That's putting it very lightly.

And I feel salty at having paid around 15$CAN MORE for D-K Guard at TrU. I should have waited a wee bit more and bought it at Gamestop.

Remember when Toys R Us used to mail coupons to their Club R members?

Pepperidge Farms remember.

Image

The irony is even if TrU did it again, it would only turn back the prices of the Toys to the same REGULAR one that everybody else sell for.

Man those were some crazy times. I once combined coupons with a promotion to the point that I would get a free TF for each TF I buy.

Rundown of New Sightings in Canada Including new RED FIgures, Shadowstrip, Crasher and More

Alright, so Canada is catching up to the US and even getting past them in one instant.

The entire Velocitron line was found at around the same time as the US but the wave 2 deluxes have also been found now, in an Alberta Walmart. The only 2 new toys in that wave are Crasher and Shadowstrip. The image below is provided by Phtcndn who posted it on Cybertron.ca.

RED Galvatron and Shockwave have been found in Walmarts in Ontario, you can see them in the image below.

The wave 2 Legacy core class toys have been found at a Walmart in Quebec.

EB Games were fulfilling their preorders for Blitzwing the past weeks but they seem to now have some on the shelves as well.

You know, I was making a joke, however doesn't that make it even better, that now in order to get the G2 Menasor you'll need to pick them up possible as separate exclusives.

A couple will be Walmart exclusives, another will be Amazon exclusive, a third will be w a target exclusive and maybe the final will be a pulse exclusive.

Question, who all is in Wave 2 of Velocitron? Did Cosmos and Clampdown get repacked? Or are there less of others? Or is Wave 2 just 4 each Crasher and Shadowstrip?

New Canadian Sightings at TRU: Creatures Collide 4 pack and ROTB Optimus and Bumblebee 2 pack

Technically, this is our first Rise of the Beasts toy in North American stores. However, as you can see when comparing to the original packaging below, the toy has been rebranded. This Energon Igniter 2 pack with Bumblebee and Optimus sporting their alt modes from the Rise of the Beasts film no longer has "Rise of the Beasts" on their packaging but instead "Transformers Bumblebee" which is the toyline where these toys first appeared, even though that alt mode for Optimus was not the one seen in the Bumblebee movie. This 2 pack is $49.99 CAD. This was found in an Ontario Toysrus, as is another new sighting: the Creatures Collide 4 pack.

The 4 pack is $129.99 CAD which comes out to $36 per deluxe, which is almost $10 less than what Toysrus currently charges for deluxe figures, like SS86 Arcee and her wavemates which were also found at the same location. This particular sighting comes from Collectingtoys who posted on cybertron.ca.

I'm not sure if I'll ever buy that 4 pack.

BTW, the Velocitron preorders finally started to ship from Walmart.ca. My Clampdown and Cosmos are on their way.

The price for the 4 packs is not bad really for an exclusive. The few extra heads are great bonuses. I want Goldbug & Ransack, but not the other 2 (I decided not to collect BW due to space constraint). Otherwise, I'd get it on sight.

But my local Walmarts & TRU (Richmond Hill & Markham area in Ontario) are total crap for TFs. I missed the preorders (not for lack of trying) for Cosmos.

Toys R Us is the WORST place to shop for Transformers because they are around 15 to 25% more expensive than the competition for reasons.

But sometime, TrU throw some unexpected sale our way.

It's the case for Red Cog, who is CHEAPER than regular deluxe price at 33$!
The catch is it's local pick up only so you must have a TrU in your area that have one in stock. I managed to catch one. Will you?

Canada Transformers Sightings News with Minerva at Gamestop, Great deal on Red Cog, and More!

Canada was lagging behind for months but now they are catching up for Transformers toys. Toysrus got the exclusive Terrorsaur in toy colours as well as the Red Cog weapons pack and they had a surprising deal for that last one. Red Cog is on sale for 32.87 (which is $24 USD), an excellent price for any fan who was looking forward to one. It's far cheaper than any other deluxe at Toysrus (Terrorsaur is $45) AND you get all these extra guns and accessories. They also got Jhiaxus, who had been found at Gamestop before. In general, the shelves now look more up to date than ever before this year.

Gamestops in Canada got Minerva. She is selling at the MSRP of $35 CAD. All images below come from the Montreal region.

Dat Cyberverse deluxe 3 pack at 120$....

Also, they have the "world collide" deluxes 5 pack at 130$,(if I remember) that is at least the "right" price.

Worlds Collide and Creatures collide are both 4 packs. And yeah, both are the right price for when they came out (slight discount too, especially if you count the extra heads which end up being free).

Oh yeah, 4 packs. But this newest one have less value because it's 4 deluxes compared to the previous 3 deluxes and 1 voyager. At least the extra heads compensate a bit.

Plus there was that crazy inflation we got in one year, where deluxes at Walmart increased by 5$ so changing one voyager to a deluxe keeps the price the same.

Overquoting to point out that despite the prices increases, deluxes and voyagers are almost the same price. The price of the deluxes has increased significantly percentage-wise.
