Well, the trip west turned out to be a pretty good one.
Wal Mart Bedford- all new Universe and Classics. Not my favorite lines, but I'll definately pick up Tread Bolt next time I see him. Nice colors and a pretty decent mold. Saw the rest, but passed.
TF:A- Waves 1 to 4. Nothing really new there.
STILL NO MAGNUS.

Saw TONS of Bakugan in Bedford and Johnstown. Odd, but not complaining. Got my daughter a bunch of them, so she'll be happy. Hey, they kinda transform, so they count.

It has been a bit of a dry spell out here as well. We haven't seen anything new with the exception of Unicron for almost a month. Lots of TF's are moving on and off the shelves, jsut nothing new coming out. I've only seen two Blitzwings and no Leader Ultra Magnus out here either.

I'll scout around Exton this afternoon.

I'm heading out east then south this weekend, so maybe I'll have better luck that way (total of 5 Wal Marts, 2 Targets, 2 TrU, 2 KB and 2 hobby shops). I'll either be really fortunate or really irritated. There is no in between when hitting that many stores.

At the moment, looking for:
Treadbolt
Ultra Magnus X2 (one for me, one for a friend)
Blitzwing (for a friend)
New Robot Heroes

Exton Wal-Mart had one each Treadbolt, Blades, Blaster and Heavyload.

They also had Galvatron, Acid Storm, Sideswipe and Streak, along with some animated Deluxe Soundwave, BA and Oilslick. They also had TFA voyager Prime, Megs and Bulkhead.

TRU had the same, along with some Leader BH and Megs.

Same stuff I saw last week :-(

Wal Mart had the 25th Prime. Not exactly flying off the shelves. I looked it over and immediately declared "PASS". No thanks, but for that scratch, I could get plenty of other TF goodness.
Besides that, they had nothing new.
Target - same thing, different day. Getting bored with them, actually.
Aldi's (never thought I'd include them in the collecting route)- fully stocked on TF:A, SW X-over, Legends and electronic BB.
KMart- STILL two minicon boxes on the shelf. Shocking. Otherwise, same old same old.

Once again, Hagerstown fails. Target, TrU, WalMart, KMart... NOTHING (and by NOTHING I mean Ultra Magnus and Target exclusives).

TrU had an entire case of new Activators on the pegs and another case on the top shelf (already got mine at Kohls for cheaper), a Blitzwing and a bunch of other shelf warmers. I did pick up the TF:A Christmas ornaments, though. They're pretty nice. My daughter will like them.

Target had the exclusive movie scout class figs (Arcee and the others). Nothing else.

WalMart had TONS of TF:A LC Megs and Bulkheads, and some other older figs. Nothing too impressive.

Searching for:
Ultra Magnus... still.
Ratbat/Springer, Roadbuster/Dirge
KMart had CRAP. Four Minicon boxes, but otherwise, CRAP.

I'll keep an eye out for Magnus, but I'm assuming Exton would be a hike.

I thought that the Target 2-packs were not going to be released for another couple of weeks, and I really want Roadbuster/Dirge. If my Target get's them, I'll post it!

KMart IS crap, period!

Yeah, I agree about KMart to an extent. BUT, they did have the elusive Ultra Magnus I was after, so they came through when the rest of the 'better' stores failed.

I've seen a bunch of Blitzwings now around the Chambersburg/York area. Some Treadbolts and Universe as well. None of the Target exclusives yet.
STILL looking for Bakugan for my daughter. Getting frustrated.
If anyone sees any of the singles or three-packs, please let me know. I'd gladly pay shipping if anyone finds them.

I hit Exton Target and TRU last night, no Magnus, no comic 2-packs, and no Bakugon either. Thankfully my sons are not into that.

Both stores are suspiciously empty, which makes me think they are delaying a lot of stock for Black Friday.

It would really suck to have theose 2 packs be a Black Friday item.

Scored on the Bakugan! They were stocking the local Wal Mart with loads of TF's, mainly the latest Universe (Silverstreak, Ironhide...) and wave 4 TF:A. Also lots of TF:A Voyager figs for some reason.
Anyway, they had 10 cases of Bakugan on a pallet, plus another two already on the pegs. Got a total of nine, making 18 for my daughter for Christmas. She'll be so happy!
Now, if only daddy could find the Target two-packs...

...And daddy DID find the Target two-packs in Chambersburg. I picked up Roadbuster and Dirge, passed on Ratbat and Springer for the moment. Also got Stealth Lockdown, passed on Rescue Ratchet. They also had the legends five-packs and the movie battle two-packs.

Roadbuster is turning out to be my favorite Universe figure. Great G1 homage. I'll probably pick up the other two-pack, but I have no desire for Springer and Ratbat looked a bit weird, like there was too much leg kibble.

Glad you found them!

The target packs showed up in Exton this weekend as well, yesterday they had the Roadbuster/Dirge, Springer/Ratbat, Rescue Ratchet, Stealth Lockdown, and the legends 5 packs on an endcap.

Still no leader Magnus.

Went back to Target and got Rescue Ratchet. Mainly for the Starscream Legends figure. Oddly, this Ratchet is better than the original, with a tighter thigh swivel. Not bad. SS is total win. I really like it alot.

Going out on Black Friday to one of the biggest Wal Marts around to see if any new figures are released (that, and I want a new digital camera). Hopefully, they've been saving Blurr, Lockdown, Swindle, Skywarp and Shockwave for this weekend.
Good thing yesterday was payday with loads of overtime.

Exton Target is sold out of the Roadbuster/Dirge 2-pack, but still had 3 or 4 of the Springer/Ratbat packs, glad I got mine when I did.

Nothing else new in the area, but I'll check around tomorrow.

Checked the local Wal Mart just for the heck of it. Nothing new, just a lot of the same old stuff.
Went to Target, and they had just re-stocked. All of the exclusives in multiples on an end-cap, as well as a re-stock of Universe deluxes and ultras. Otherwise, nothing new.
I asked a red-shirt to check if they had Shockwave using the DCPI. After some radio communication, he found out they had about two pallets of TF:A figures in the back. They opened up the cases for the Voyagers and they were all the already released figures. Nothing new.
I appreciated how helpful they were, being as this was the first time I had asked for them to check something for me.

There was one Animated Ultra Magnus in Exton Toys R Us last night at about 530. I did NOT buy it, so it may still be there.

Wal Mart, Shippensburg-
Ultra Magnus X2
Skywarp X1
Shockwave X2
Veritible tons of Universe and TF:A as well (although nothing 'new')

Picked up Shockwave. After reading umpteen reviews I thought I may have been wrong in my early opinion that it isn't a good figure.
Unfortunately, I was right the first time. It really does nothing for me, and that saddens me greatly, for Shockwave is my all-time favorite TF. :(
It's fragile and almost non-playable unless you hold the hips or fore-arms together. Sure, it looks good posed, but that's about it.
I'll still get the Target purple version because I'm being a completist with TF:A, but it may stay in package now.
Overall= C.

Picked up Ultra Magnus and Blitzwing on Saturday, at Target and TRU respectivly. Everything else is the same ol same ol, although Exton Walmart was packed with Universe and animated Deluxe size ,and Universe voyagers.

Is anyone on this forum from the Harrisburg area? I noticed that you guys have seen things that I haven't seen in any store yet (Ultra Magnus and Shockwave specifically). I am just wondering if I am just missing them around here, or if all the stores just didn't get them yet.

I think a few people are out that way, but none that really post in this thread. In Exton we have a Walmart, K-Mart, Boscovs, KB, Kohls, TRU and Target within 3 miles of each other, so we get a lot of sightings just for the sheer number of places to look. It's a busy area, so we get re-stocks pretty quick too.

Magnus just showed up last week, and I've only seen two total, so I'm assuming you'll see more in a week or so.

Chambersburg is about 45 minutes south of Harrisburg, but I find most of my stuff in Hagerstown, MD (20 minutes south). Chambersburg itself has never really had that great of a selection as far as findings (our Wal Mart SUCKS), but we have a KB, Wal Mart, Target, Kohls, KMart (had UM about a month ago) and a good comics shop to choose from.
Harrisburg really doesn't seem to have that many choices except for TrU and WalMart or Target. There used to be a KB and a collector's store at the mall, but no more (at least not the last time I was there). I might actually head up that way in the next few weeks to hit Hobbytown USA.

Thanks guys. It is just frustrating. We have 2 Walmarts, 2 TRU's, and 3 Targets, and 3 Kmarts within 20 minutes of me. Walmart gets stuff semi-early, Target gets it sometimes months after Walmart, and TRU usually gets stuff after Targert. Kmart is a waste. They just got their first shipment of Universe and Animated last week.

Annoying

If I stayed totally local in my searches, I'd never find anything. Jump on 83 and head to York, or 81 towards Carlisle or Shippensburg or Chambersburg. There's plenty of opportunities, it's just a matter of timing and occasional traveling.
Even when I do travel and don't find anything, I still have fun and make a day of it.

This weekend it'll either be Harrisburg (but after your lack of luck, probably not :-P ) or York. Either one is a fun day-trip.

I may have to try this mythical Exton that occasionally gets lots of goodies sometime.
