I's ave yourself the journey to Liverpool forbidden planet, I just went myself. Generations stuff is all bumblebee, trailcutter, FOC prime, Slug and Voyager AOE grimlock. The rest is onestep stuff, though they do have a loyal subjets prime vinyl fig. Worlds apart just round past lime street station is the same, but they have the prime character micron blind bags, and some constructbots. If you're looking for any of the graphic novels, worlds apart has everything from death of optimus prne though to dark cybertron vol. 2

Actually that's one thing that Middlesbrough forbidden planet does really well, has a lot of the collected ongoings and classic collections. Though for some reason they have all robots in disguise volumes but none more than meets the eye. Prices could be better though. £15? Sheesh...

We probably crossed paths as I was there in the early afternoon yesterday. Disappointing but nothing much could be done. I'm aware of World's Apart and their trades but I get the collected trades online for reasonably cheap. Thanks for the heads up though! :D

Was in Bristol for the Uni open day yesterday and managed to spectacularly forget that there was a forbidden planet there which I could've checked out whilst killing time between talks #-o :BANG_HEAD:
In other news though, got S(h)krapnel & Reflector on the way from Kapow, along with a couple individual microns because I'm a sucker for minicons and the like

You didn't miss much. I was there Bank holiday Monday and all they had were A couple of Skywarps, Scoops and Centuritrons and hardly any comics. I did get five of the preview wave Kreochanger guys for £1 each though. In other pound purchases I found Animated deluxe Megatron for a quid at a boot sale today and a woman trying to sell 2007 movie legends for £1.50 each.

Haha, fair enough. Even so, woulda grabbed a scoop as I've still not got round to picking him up- and I daresay seeing a centuritriton in the flesh might've finally convinced me to get one- as I said, minicons are definitely my weakness :p Ah well...

Drift, Lockdown and Slash turned up today.

Slash is pretty awful if I'm honest, Drifts nice and Lockdown is decent. I have afew issues with lockdown nd his lack of true hands and his legs, but overall he is not too bad.

Got an email earlier today about this from TRU saying he was back in stock. Absolutely love my MP-08 and have been looking for an excuse to get another. How does this re-issue stack up against the original? I did hear complaints about the joints being loose, and the plastic on the chest/neck being green for some reason.

Mrs O decreed some time ago that I WILL be getting MP Grimlock for Christmas. I keep rejecting the notion citing expense but she won't let go, she's set herself a goal and I WILL act surprised when I get it. MP Grimlock is out, Mrs O is out. A large box has been delivered. I'm going to play dumb for a few days.
Went to Sainsbury's and found the new Legion Strafe for £5.99, pricey but he looks really nice and he couldn't stay there. I also plugged the hole in Tailgate's bonnet with a slimline cigarette filter but that's neither here nor there.

You see, if that was me I'd keep teasing my other half and every time we pop into TRU and see Grimlock I'd pick it up and pretend I was going to buy it, just to see her reaction. Because I'm nice like that...

I caught sight of MP Grimlock in my local TRU today. Was very tempted and almost walked out with one. Only thing that held me back is the fact that I'm being greedy and already have the MP-08 reissue that comes with the flame sword. Oh, and the fact that I don't get paid until next week!

I'm just looking for an excuse to get a second MP Grimlock to pose in robot mode, but not sure if I want to part with a ton for it.

Where?! I haven't seen these anywhere yet! Although when I went into my local TRU, they had a different colour version of the legends Grimlock and a repainted Windrazor to look like Strafe, has anybody else seen these?

Robot mode is the draw for me, comedy dinosaur is a fun bonus. He's very shiny, I must admit that the red and gold are very Christmassy. Opening him up gave me a bit of a 'first tin of Quality Street of the season' moment but never mind that.

The Mrs very kindly allowed me to use some of the wedding gift money to pick up Generations Metroplex. So I took a trip to TRU Warrington yesterday.

Holy crap, I really cannot stress how much that it does not hit home just how large he is until you have him out of the box. I'm in 2 minds about taking the paint brushes to him and adding in a few of the paint apps he's missing compared to the takara version. Really bugs me all those missile pods he has sculpted in plain white plastic.

I definitely recommend him for anyone who's passed on him thus far; I also managed to get the evolution of strafe 2 pack though the minicon was really disappointing considering the bumblebee one came with the new generations mold. His paint apps are gorgeous but I'm struggling to get much out of him in terms of posability.

They had the voyager Grimlock evo pack on shelves too, looked everywhere for OP but he was nowhere to be found. I wish they'd had masterpiece Grimlock while I was there or I would have picked him up, but sadly the only MP I saw was YotH Prime. I narrowly managed to pass on evasion mode Prime as I'm waiting for the 2 pack with classics prime to show up. I do already have a classics prime, but mine's customised and has reprolabels on him as he came looking quite beat up and lacking his smoke stack accessories. I gave him Orion Pax's gun to hold.

Oh and I bagged a second Bulkhead Micron too, so now my voyager bulkhead has a pair of comically oversized boxing gloves. :michaelbay: Those blind bag microns are surprisingly fun!

Anyone got any beast wars/Energon/animated stuff for sale, spent the better part of the day on eBay looking at stuff and it's either stuff I'm not interested in or overpriced stuff. Did see two Overlords on there...wish I had the money in for him.

How have you found him? Any issues with the legs being loose or the alt mode not quite clipping together well?

For some reason, the comedy dinosaur always drew me to Grimlock, which is why I have mine currently posed in that way. Of course, to add to the comic effect he's got the full apron and drinks tray get up going on, hanging out with Swerve as his personal dino-waiter.

Went to TRU Tamworth earlier looking for the evo' Prime two pack, but found nothing on any significance. Did managed to pick up the legion class Strafe and Grimlock (BH Windrazor and Rippersnapper repaints) for the boy and they also had a few MP Grimlocks, but unfortunately I did not have a spare £100. :-(

I did pick up AOE Leader Prime from Argos and then wished I hadn't bothered! I've transformed him to truck mode and just plonked him on the shelf.

I've finally admitted that I'm not interested in waiting for Christmas and have just unpacked him properly. He's awesome, the price still concerns me but it's not like I had a say in the purchase. It's my first experience with this one and I haven't transformed it yet but so far it seems solid, the left hip outward swing is a bit looser than the right but nothing major, yet...

So my Windblade and Jhiaxus have arrived finally, both are awesome.

Jhiaxus's orange is brighter than the pictures made out, but I kinda dig it, might do a couple of mods to the wings on his shins to make them fold in, and shave a bit off his wings so they fold back just a tad more.

Windblade on the other hand, I was a little apprehensive, due to people having complaints about her heels and loose joints, mine was all tight, the heels I used a dab of super glue to tighten. My complaints with her were that she had a weird indent on her chin on one side, kind of like a cut, I filled it in with a tiny amount of green stuff, a dab of paint and it should be near unnoticeable, the other thing was I wasn't impressed with head articulation, it sort of wobbles round left and right, taking a closer look I found out her head is actually on a ball joint after so many saying it was a swivel, I took a plunge and yanked her head off with careful force and shaved down the base of her head, now it's much better. Now just gotta wait for Brainstorm to arrive.

Another thing, is anybody else worried that we may not see the combiner wars figures next year? Most stores are still sitting on Prime and Beast Hunters, the AOE figures don't seem to be budging all that much (the more children orientated stuff, the one-flip changers etc.) I'm worried stores won't want to add yet another line, more likely to stock the new Robots in Disguise stuff due out next year instead. What makes me think this is the fact that we haven't been getting in the later waves of Generations. Slightly worrying :/

We've never really got later waves of toys in. Like the 2008 universe line there was a lot we missed out on. Seems we brits always get the short end of the Hasbro stick.
