Anyone else get a Random EBay Voucher in your email recently ?

I got one for £10.00 of £20.00 + Spend for a period up to 11th November.

I chuckled a bit as it was suggesting I buy an Oversize KO MP-10 with it.

I get a lot of emails with random vouchers for places but most turn out to be phishing scams. are you sure it was genuinely from ebay?

I don't think I have anything to worry about it's just an email with a code in it that you put in the check out - no clicking to external links or anything like that required.

I just thought I'd mention it as EBay keep giving things away like crazy lately... they also just gave me 600 Nectar points this week and X6 nectar points on purchases the week before.

As well as another voucher before that was on Facebook that I didn't use but mentioned a few posts above.

Went to Warrington Toys R Us on Tuesday and they now have a few more boxes of Wave 4 deluxes in (Last time I went they only had 1 box) I picked up Mirage and Sunstreaker, both priced at £15.99 but only now just looking back at my receipt did I discover that they're on the buy one get one half price on transformers RID deal.

Glad I found out I'd accidentally saved money as I was slightly feeling guilty about buying Sunstreaker as I was only mildly interested in him (Like the character but not so much the mold) and could have used the money else where towards Christmas time. Not sure if anyone else knew about this deal so thought I'd let you good people know about it :D

On the Receipt it says BOGSHPTRANSRID and says I saved £8, making the cost of each figure about £12 each, much happier! :D

He's a great figure. I paid the full £50 for him on release and never felt like I got short changed. bear in mind that's what you'd pay for a voyager at retail.

Edited for spelling and grammar.

Picked up Dinobot Slog in The Entertainer in Bluewater yesterday. Was only £13.80. Got him on a whim to add to my Dinobot shelf. Really wanted Sgt. Bulkhound but they didn't have home, just one Slog and a load of Galvatron.

Figure is actually pretty decent. Most of the stupid kibble including the daft pair of lances are optional, so that's good. Dino is fun but has a lot of rubbery parts :(

Nothing else to report from my way but I haven't had much chance to look.

Can anyone recommend a Asian seller for either combiner wars Devastator or unite warriors Devastator.

I'm looking at hlj.com for the unite warriors Devastator but I am waiting for a price on shipping to the UK. Has anyone used hobby link Japan for shipping the Hasbro version to the UK as I'm guessing it would cost the same

Thanks in advance

I havent used HLJ for devastator as I odered my UW one from Kapow, but I have used it for perfect grade gundams which have similarly sized boxes and pricing. if you're going go HLJ just get SAL shipping not the more expensive EMS, EMS always gets caught at customs so you're gonna definitely get that 20% customs fee and Parcelforce's asshole ransom handling fee. and ultimately with the delays and holding it won't be any faster. if you just get SAL it might well slip through. Their shipping is quite well reasonable usually compared to the price you end up paying on a site that ships directly to the UK.

I'm checking out mersey comic con today at the liverpool hope university student union on parliament street. I'm not expecting any transformers merch but I'll check in if I see anything and see if anybody wants some stuff picking up.

Thanks for the advice, I'm thinking I will go with hlj.com, their price on unite warriors Devastator is just too good to miss out on(should work out the same as hasbro on kapow)

The B&M store in Whitehaven, West Cumbria has Generations Jetfire reduced down to £19.99, so I finally caved and bought one. It's mostly good, but my figure does have some quality control issues. The joint connecting the head to the neck is loose, so his head does flop up and down a lot (is there a way to fix that?), the red paint on the tip of the jet's nose feels sticky, like it hasn't bonded to the plastic properly, and one of the ratchet joints in the shoulders clicks really loudly while the other doesn't at all. I probably should have expected the figure to have some issues for it to be reduced as low as it was, but now I'm wondering whether or not it's worth returning.

The issues you mentioned don't seem to be common. Maybe the loose neck is, but that's easily fixed with clear nail polish. There might actually be a screw you can tighten for that somewhere though. I'd say return and exchange it.

Hello!

On a quick jaunt through town last night, I popped into my local Wilko's for some rubber dinosaurs and sandpaper but ended up buying a Legends Combiner Wars Groove!
I don't know what was going on! :-P

I did some un paid labour whilst there, pulling all their selection of CW legends to the front of the shelf, all pretty like!

In stock was Skywarp, Hotrod, Warpath, Groove and another which Ive forgotten? £10 each btw. ;)

Yeah, my local Wilkinson has the Combiner Wars Legends as well, the only one from waves 3 and 4 I haven't seen is Viper. They also used to have Generations Voyager Rhinox and Roadbuster, at first they tried selling them for £27, but enough customers must have said "Nah, screw that!" because they were reduced to £13 not long afterwards.

On an related note, I was in Edinburgh last week, and on Black Friday the toy department of Jenner's Department Store had Age of Extinction Voyagers Drift and Slog reduced from £23 to £13, so I picked up Slog. I did notice that all of the Combiner Wars stuff (four pegs of Drag Strips and Skydives, along with one Silverbolt) weren't reduced at all, they were the same price as they were before the sale.

Meant to post this last week:

Black Friday wasn't great for us but I did pick up First edition AofE Prime from Amazon for £13.99. Can't say I had ever particularly wanted it, but it's a Prime mould I don't own and it was dirt cheap. also the box is pretty.

It was a marketplace purchase and the seller still has some on there for £23.99 - which is still a pretty big bargain!

In other news, grabbed the Wave 4 limbs in the buy one get one half price n toys r us a couple of weeks back. £48 for all 4 wasn't bad and they are now combined with regular Prime and Rodimus on my combiner shelf. I hadn't even realised that I now have 5 complete combiners! (Counting Galvatronus with my random spare limbs).

I don't suppose there is any sign of Devastator out there? I'm actually really surprised that we have had Trypticon before him, which leads me to worrying he wont show at all.

And finally - do any of you think that Hasbro's tendency to have obscure repaints for master piece figures has hurt our chances of having MP releases over here? Both Acid Storm and Sunstorm have been warming the shelves nicely the last few years and as a result we didn't get Starscream, Prowl or Bluestreak.

I nabbed one of those too. Like you wasn't overly fussed about owning one but for that price its a steal. Got a pal who has Amazon Prime to order for me too so saved on postage.

Howdy gents,

I meant to post this on Saturday, but just totally didn't have the time.

I took a jaunt into Liverpool at the weekend, and Forbidden Planet have the full range of wave 4.

Legends, Deluxes, Voyagers *and* Leaders.

So they have Battlecore Prime, Fixed Motormaster, Leader Starscream, Leader Thundercracker and Leader Ultra Magnus.

I think that might be the first official sighting of inexplicably white prime at UK retail, but the Deluxes have the pack in comics, so these are 'grey imports'. Don't hold out for them showing up in TRU just yet.

Be advised though, they're a tad bit more expensive than in TRU. I think the Deluxes were £16.99, but that's not terrible.
