After reading that I don't know what's funnier:

1) the guy types like a n00b thus making me believe he's 10 and not 28.

2) guy sounds like he's been on Dateline's "To Catch A Predator"

3) we already know this story thanks to the leaked script, and various information.

Besides, in June we'll know he's wrong thanks to IDW (probably better than the movie).

Megan Fox (im sure that's no coincidence), I have no clue if she can act or not because I was fixated on her tits and ass whenever she was onscreen - pure sex (god bless you Michael Bay).

Ok, here's where I have a problem. I cannot take very seriously any person who says something like this. You're reviewing a movie about robots, not Playboy.

"girl pretty, big chest, me drag knuckles on ground, Prime has flames, Og like"

And that is how you not write an intelligent review of a film.

And that is honestly when I stopped reading.

The guy nevre said he was a pro-reviewer, he stated a few times in fact that it was his first time and he was saying what was on his mind. Also aicn isnt known for its "ebert" level reviews or choice of words itself. Its merely an honest "impartial" recap of what he saw.

I predict it was real, and that the movie will resemble the remarks. Just because he talked about stuff that we've seen in the trailer doesn't mean anything. He talked about stuff I'd never heard about, so I'm guessing he saw more.

Read the review all over again. He said some of the effects weren't finished. Obviously they hadn't taken it out of the version he saw.


Give me a break everyone. Just because he only happened to mention parts that were in the trailer, doesn't mean that's all he's really seen. If you read more, you'll see things that weren't in the trailer, such as scene order, and characters' ways of acting.

He left out a lot of details because he didn't want to spoil things, since not everyone is a rabid, super suspicious fanboy who's read the script already.

That's how I felt. You can be an amateur film reviewer, and you can still be on an andrenaline high from seeing the film, but you can still be mature about it. When someone likes something because of T&A, I'm sorry, but they lose big time credibility.

The way I see it, if he is that easily impressed with a hot woman, then what he says about how awesome the movie is really isn't that impressive anymore.

But I understand the reality of why Megan Fox is in this movie. Face it, she's not there for her acting ability. She's there to do one thing, and that's to get guys into the movie theatres... problem is, the giant battling transforming robots should be able to do that just fine by themselves.

One thing you have to remember "Appeal to general audience" whether its big robots, explosions, TnA, dog pee jokes or product placement. You hit the biggest audience possible so that everyone can take something from this movie.

Me I like the TnA aspect as well as the cool cars that just happen to transform

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums, but not Seibertron.com.

I think this guy is nothing more then most usual Moviegoers, albiet not an English major or Journalist.

I want to take the easy road and say fake, but honestly, I just think was a guy just really stoked he was able to see this much of the movie two months before it comes out.

He might have only seen an hour of footage, but just look at his reactions! If this movie does this to a casual fan, and he only saw what was finishes, JUST IMAGINE!

I can safely say, being a fan my entire life (I slept with Prime in my bed as a baby for Christ sakes!) that this review makes all this time bitching and moaning about designs and Micheal Bay, celebrating over Cullen and Old school nods, worth living through. This guy made me jealous he saw it before me, makes me angry I wasn't there watching it, like a big party I missed.

Look, I want this movie to surprise us all and just blow the top off of every theater it plays. I want it to bank Box office records and make Spidey 3 look like Bambi: The Musical. But i'm realistic and know that we, as fans, have generated enough heat and bad publicity, we actually ended up hurting the movie we all dreamed of seeing more then helping it. I know people, who have read these forums, tell me they won't see the movie until I do, cause they won't waste the money if it sucks. THESE ARE PEOPLE, FANS, WHO BEGGED ME TO KEEP THEM INFORMED WHEN I FIRST FOUND OUT AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT!

My point in all this is, we have two months to go. The movie needs to do twice its cost to be seriously considered a viable bankable blockbuster property. I want sequels, lots of them.I think its time to take a different approach now. The approach is simple: This movie is done, we did what we could, and I think our voices were heard as much as they were going to be. So now, as fans, I think we should do what we can to spread the word that, though it prob won't be an oscar gem, its going to be THE action movie of the summer. I mean, lets be serious, its BAY, hes good at one thing, and he was given a huge canvas and the money to blow **** up to his litle hearts content, its like giving a drunk redneck a Rocket Launcher in a field of deer, HE WENT CRAZY!

I think the writers were the best we were gunna get, the director and actors the best that time and money would allow, and I think we got a pretty fair deal, IT COULD HAVE BEEN UWE BOLLE ( Stick that in your pipe and smoke it). The Effects look spectactular, the transformations mind blowing, and action as intense as anyone can ask for, what else can you ask out a movie that a few years ago the studios ran from like a Rapist that taught ethics!

WE WILL ALL GO SEE THIS MOVIE, AND AFTERWARDS SPEND THE NEXT WEEK COMING DOWN FROM IT! So what if this Guy only saw so much, like I think he did, HE SAW SOMETHING, AND IT ENERGIZED HIM THAT MUCH!! Imagine what the finished product is going to do!

Seriously, the only other things he mentions are different stuff blowing up. Constantly. I think it was a explosion reference every two sentences. That and the Deceptions being fodder. Then back to the explosions. He DID NOT say awesome fight sequences, great characters, great story etc. etc... just stuff blowing up "bay style", which I am not even certain what he means. Could he mean shooting an explosion from 15 angles and showing it over and over again so it lasts thirty seconds? And then he said it is cheesy but you somehow like the cheesy? WHAT?

Did I read the same review as everyone else? If he is a plant, he should be fired. Worst salesman ever.

If this is real, and for the love of god I hope it is not, then we should be worried. My enthusiam, which has been building and building just dropped...alot.

Exactly. I don't think he's a plant, I just think he seems like one because he's so enthused... and he's enthused because he happens to fall squarely within the 'lowest common denominator' they were shooting for. He obviously really enjoyed it but none of the things he seems so happy about really sound all that great. The decepticons being mere fodder, the cheesy humor, a 'glimpse of the Starscream/ Megatron dynamic', and perhaps my favorite of all: "The last 30 minutes is non-stop robot destruction- I honestly couldn't tell you everything that happened because it was just so damn awesome I had a hard time even keeping up." That's pretty much how I feel about every one of Bay's action scenes, barring the 'awesome'. It's not just that so much is going on, but the fact that he won't keep the damn camera in place for more than a few seconds so it's a struggle to figure out what exactly you're seeing.

No fair cutting and pasting But seriously amatuer or pro this guy is a A-Hole. his writing is pathetic. and something I can't unsderstand is if something is fake how can it get you psyced to see it. It's like your gearing up to be disappointed.

Well, if this is a legit "review", it's going to be everything I thought and expected to be, by reasons the reviewer mentioned:

I don't care if they're "boxy" or not. What I don't understand is their ugly faces, why so damd ugly, for example Prime's lips?...I never understand why Starscream is a monkey chicken face, and I will never care to buy this whole "evil alien vs good alien" looking game on the line of Transformers. It's stupid, and everytime I see Starscream or ice Megatron, I want to throw up.

Oh God no! I hope he stays a bad ass, but not looking like chicken monkey..... hell no, I really hope not. I hope his whole design, Megatron, and every one of the bots faces gets melted by a gaint cloud of acid.

The part when he talks about the lips on OP is what you are looking for to nail this guy: as said by Bay himself, the lips were used in a European series of tests for commercials... why would they use European tests for an American made screening?? It just doesn't make sense. Besides i know what i am talking about, as an Italian born and raised i know that every movie from the US since WW2 was alway re-edited in Cinecitta' (Milano) for cutting and adapting it so that Italians wouldn't get confused by the different humor and cultural concept, and this process needs TIME that Bay definitely doesn't have if he wants to put out a screening this fast.

Bay said that it was test footage and that it wasn't Cullen's voice, NOT that he wouldn't have lips in the film.

I read that review last night and thouhgt it was pretty suspect striaght away.

there are two simple reasons why i think this

1. nothing the guy talks about hasn't been seen in trailers or mentioned online before.

2. the film doesn't get release for another 2 months. while I know lot of films do get test screenings he mentions that the effects looked pretty much finished. A major summer blockbuster that is effects heavy as transformers is will still have a LOT of effects work to complete at this point.

The guy is either just bullshitting or (more likely) from a PR company promoting the film via an indirect method.
THey're using Sector Seven to promote the film (and 'stop sector seven') this is just an easier and cheaper version of the ame thing.

You're right. The fact that he claims the film goes from a voiceover to the scene in Qatar does seem really fishy. I could see if they decided not to reveal Megatron so early in the film and cut that bit but I doubt it'd work very well if they throw it in as a flashback later on, which they'd have to do to explain how his grandfather gets the 'map'.
