Tonight on Josh Keaton's Facebook, he had stated that Darren Norris will be joining the cast regularly as an Autobot. Now, for those that do not know, Darren Norris already does the voice of Knockout.

This means one of two things:

1. Knockout is turning Autobot.
2. Darren is taking on another character.

What do you guys think? Would Knockout make a good Autobot? Why would he turn? Or who do you think it could possibly be if it's a new Autobot that has not debut yet?

Huh. This is new. Knock Out hasn't shown any Autobot-ish tendancies, so if he does turn Autobot, then it would be kinda...strange.

However, voice actors can do amazing things and can be many characters at once.

Josh Keaton, the voice of Transformers Prime's Jack Darby, recently updated his facebook page with an image of three legends of voice acting. In the image mirrored below we see Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, and Steve Blum in the recording studio, but that's not all. In additional to sharing this really nice image he also hinted at a new Autobot joining the cast in the picture's comments.

Darren Norris is off to the side as well as another great VA who will be playing a new (to the show) autobot I can't name yet o_0

Alright I don't want to give away any spoilers (I know it hasn't officially released yet and not everyone has seen this episode), but I think it could be Grimlock. I know a lot of people think that it'll be Starscream defecting, and they have done so well with the character building on this show that I can see that. I just remember the press release saying that they would in fact be bringing the Dinobots and Combiners to the show.

We saw the face of Unicron in a TV spot a long time ago, and for a split second in this episode when the volcano erupts. I can easily see them placing both Unicron and the Dinobots in the earth's core. This episode is the best this season hands down too.

First off, I really like TF Prime. It's intriguing, and has the story arcs I like, continuity, and you can see where they are making strides with characterization.

Secondly, hooray for more TFs making appearances. I'm glad they are building up to this other than just having 8 more characters nonchalantly show up like they've been there since day one.

Third, I got to sit in on a panel hosted by Steve Blum (and Scott McNeil) recently, and he's pretty damn awesome. The only weird thing is, most of the time he talked I kept imagining that either Spike Spiegle or Roger Smith was having a conference. I'm glad Steve is part of a show I look forward to every week (or month, depending on if new episodes are ready).

Combiners

Combiners? After some hemming and hawing from the panel, one of the producers said decisively, "We'll have Combiners, don't you worry."

Dinobots? "Those characters are part of our long-term plan,"

And thanks to a video from SDCC we get to see the next big villain of Transformers: Prime, what appears to be Unicron!

If I had to guess which new character it is (and I'm assuming it's for next season. If I'm wrong tell me) I would pick either Jazz or Ironhide.

Not to be a buzz kill or anything, but 'new to the show' is not synonymous with 'permanent cast member'.

It could very well be just another one off, like Wheeljack.

Another team member would be cool, but all the arch-types are represented already. We have Prime, the leader; BB, the scout; Bulkhead, the soldier; Ratchet, Mr. Fixit; and Arcee, the female... [not trying to be sexist or anything, but she is just a talking scout]

If it is going to be someone permanent, they will have to fill an unused niche like flyer or beast. In which case Grimlock would fit the bill, but he's anything but subtle.

If there is one thing this show rocks at, it is pushing the 'Robots in Disguise' angle.

With all that being said, I don't care what they do. This is a great series and any misstep at this point would only be a temporary hiccup in the grand scheme of the series. Long Live TF-Prime!

The Dinobots are said to appear in season 2. It has been confirmed long ago that they will be coming to the series. I think it's a new Autobot altogether personally.

The great thing about this series is that this could mean anything.

How about...Ultra Magnus? Hot Rod? Kup? It could be almost anyone. I'm looking forward to finding out!

I'm going to say that the new character is Ironhide since we've seen a Cyberverse Commander figure of him. I know they sometimes make toy only characters but Ironhide is to much of a popular character to have toy but not appear in the show.

i suspose the TF Prime cartoon & toy line could use Jetfire as a autobot,i'd love this.

also bring on the 5 dinobots & make them combiners. make the decepticons combiners G-1 Predacons so we get a predaking toy

Personally, I can see Ironhide being only as a replacement for Bulkhead. I think their character types are two similar for them to work together, unless BH dies. My money is on Jazz, Prowl or Jetfire. If they use the Prowl from the Jagex game that would be SWEET!

Actually, originally in Prime they were going to have Ironhide. I don't know why they replaced him. Ironhide has always had such a large fan base, especially from the movies. It would be incredibly awesome if Ironhide does replace Bulkhead. I can't tolerate Bulkhead at all either. But if they replace Bulkhead, I hope Miko gets sent back to Japan or die off. I can't tolerate her at ALL.

This comment is so vague that it could be interpreted in a number of ways. It could be that Daran Norris is playing the new Autobot, or that "another great voice actor" (who's standing off the side along with Norris) is voicing it. It could be a new main Autobot character, or a another guest Autobot character. But the bottom line is that a new Autobot character is coming at some point and will be voiced by a "great voice actor".

Maybe this has something to do with David Kaye hinting on his Twitter that he had some big TF-related news that would soon break. That would be EPIC.

I could see how one could see this either way. He's either calling Daran Norris "another great VA", or or someone alongside him "another great VA".

I'm nixing Ironhide, because in one interview someone said Ironhide was planned, but as they developed the character and script they realized the character was closer to Bulkhead. Can't imagine them killing bulkhead and throwing in ironhide in his place. In fact, bulkhead is such a key part of the show at this point it would be like killing optimus prime.

I'm guessing Perceptor or Sentinel Prime.

Perceptor because it would pave the way for ratchet's demise (just like g1 season two!)

Sentinel Prime because it's a good autobot to introduce and kill off. And besides, everyone knows that fire truck toy transformers sell awesome.

Sentinel Zeta Prime is dead. And when they kill someone in this universe, they stay dead.
