At Victoria's 9th Ultimate Hobby and Toy Fair hosted by Cherry Bomb Toys, Headrobots was pleased to disclose the following information. Based on the future success of Headrobot's upcoming products, the following will be released..

• Reveal the Shield Strafe, the repaint of Mindwipe, will have his own kit based off of Darksol
• Generations Darkmount/Straxus, the parent mold of Skullgrin, will have his own kit based off of Tauros.
• The long forgotten Iguana, the Headmaster meant to interact with G1 figures, is still in the works to hit production.

Hold up... in my mind, kits like Darksol and Tauros are meant to differentiate like molds... doesn't this defeat the purpose? Or are the kits for Strafe/Darkmount to be slightly different than the first wave of upgrades?

I think they'll be different headwise. Especially since Skullgrin will have a unique head.

Protector was a 2-3 year process. For good shit to get good.. alot of time needs to be spent in refinement. One bad mold or QC problem during post-production and sales tank.

This, all day. I do applaud the efforts. It simply isn't anything I feel is necessary or wanted, at least by me.

I have no plans on owning Strafe, so I won't be getting that kit. Straxus I'll probably gete for some of the accessories, but IMO his head is already pretty darn good. Iguana's also a pass.

I really don't see these repaints working, unless they are meant to turn the figures into someone different.

Unless Straxus' set can turn him into a flying Voyager I'm going to pass. I really love that mold just the way it is. The only way I'll get the Strafe set is if it makes him someone else. Neither the Mindwipe nor the Cyclonus repaints make any sense or even make a passable Strafe! I only bought the guy when I was planning to make Mindwipe into Ongoing Megatron since he was $15 and I didn't want to do it without backup parts. So glad I didn't do that now!

I'll probably bite on Iguana but I'll pass on the other two offers.
