Voyagers are $60 US, it is a Voyager Unicron. Why are people fighting about this?

I totally didn't see it coming. When I looked at the Unicron droids in the show,I assumed they designed so bad and crappy purposely so there is no hope for building a toy like that

I'm not saying it definitely is, but I noticed that figure is otherwise absent from RobotKingdom's listings.

I just checked BBTS and they have AM-14 identified as Vehicon so I guess that is the case.

What do you want to bet Unicron is just a minor retool of the Armada version?

I'm having trouble figuring out why I would bet on that. I mean, it's not like TFP has Supreme class figures, and it's not like TFP Unicron looks anything like Armada Unicron.

Think PRID will spell the reintroduction of ultra class?

Hasbro already spelled out what the size classes for this line are going to be at Toy Fair. There's no Ultra class for this line. The closest we'll get to that price-wise are the Weaponizers, but they're scaled to be Leader-sized.

Ok..this got my attention..I wonder what his micron will be?

Probably something spiky, at least. Maybe it'll turn into one of his arm spikes or something. Or turn into whatever weapon his Hasbro toy will have that the Takara one won't have.

A Transformers Prime UNICRON?!?!?!?!
I HOPE that we get him in a Leader Class so that there will be some semblance to the scale of the RiD Voyager Class. I hope that Unicron will scale to the Unicrons that Prime was fighting in that crevasse. But that is up in the air and I'll wait and see what the FINAL product will look like!! Fingers crossed!!

'Megatron Darkness', eh? What are the odds this voyager is going to be made from translucent purple? Perhaps not to the extent of zombie Cliffjumper, but given the name I'd be surprised if we got the beautiful metal looking voyager Megatron I think a lot of us want.

Maybe it'll look like how Megatron looked in "One Shall Fall".

RobotKingdom mistransliterated "Biikon" as "Beacon" instead of "Vehicon" for AM-14. AM-14 is Vehicon (the car one) and AM-16 is Jet Vehicon.

ビーコン (bi-i-ko-n) can be romanised as either "beacon" (with long "e" sound) or "Vehicon" (with two separate "e" sounds). In this case however, "Vehicon" is the correct term.

Concerning the size vs. price, don't forget that more often than not, TakaraTomy has a very flexible pricing structure and more limited releases are usually more expensive. Regular Voyagers are indeed in the 3,500-4,000 Yen price range, but the DotM Leaders were roughly 7,400 yen, double the amount.
