Nah, Megs is about on scale with the other Generations figures. He came out during ROTF, before the downsizing. He is quite a bit bulkier than the Classics Seeker mold.

Still... I don't want Soundwave to be the proverbial Bulkhead on my FOC shelf. I'd like to have a voyager size....

Prime
Megatron
Grimlock (oh yeah)
Seekers (taking into account the wingspan, these would be slightly smaller and just right in the lineup)
Shockwave

So point being, if Hasbro put these out as well... I'd buy them too.

Wow, super excited for the Fall of Cybertron line. Like everyone else, I’ll be using these to supplement my War for Cybertron/Generations collection. I have the Cybetronian versions of Optimus, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Megatron, and Soundwave from that line, and the new FoC stuff will fit perfectly. In fact, I am planning on not buying any of the FOC characters I already have from the WFC line. (Who am I kidding, of course I'll buy them.)

A fellow collector pre-ordered an assortment with Optimus, Shockwave, and Jazz, and I bought his Jazz- can't wait!

You know, if they'd make the card back just big enough to stick the bubble onto and get rid of some of the void space int the package they could cut $4 off each figure, ship more to a case, and put more figures on more pegs. If they are going to reduce the size of the figure, reduce the size of the packaging to save costs too. I'd buy everyone of these without hesitation or a grimace on my face if they came in as minimalist of a package as possible and at a $10-$11 dollar price point.

As it is, if it comes to a decision between these and a handful of Bot Shots or a Prime figure at a lower price point, I'm not choosing the FOC figure.

This all sounds great (to us collectors).... but bottom line to a successful corporation is making money. If they can't grab the kids attention with a GIANT visual (whether a big package OR a big card backer) then they lose out to other toys on the shelves.

SOOOooooo those cards aren't going away any time soon. :-?

I'd still love to see them switching to a resealable version like the Japanese ones. That's still a feasible possibility.

Totally agree. Shrink the package, bring back the old deluxe size and I will even gladly pay more than $10-$11...

We all had the same discussion at the con regarding the awkwardly huge Mech Tech weapons. They're downsizing the toys to include an awkward, clunky brick of a weapon with the figure. We're all pretty much in agreement that they're wicked-useless and out of proportion... but they boost sales to Hasbro's main demographic of little kids.

We're going to be stuck with smaller figures and bigger packaging... and BAM-ZOWIE-KABLAM mech-tech gimmicks for the long haul through the recession.

We had tiny boxes for our deluxe(and larger) equivalents in the G1 days and we made due.

I seems to have said that oddly... What I was asking was in the Fall of Cybertron figures are on the the same size ratio as the PRID figures. Because aren't the PRID figures smaller than those lines that came out before them?

Comparing TFP Wheeljack to Generations Wheeljack... the TFP version is a tad taller, but a heck of a lot scrawnier. And there's a huge size difference in car mode.

Yeah, there's a noticeable difference. Though on the other hand, RiD had small deluxes(Car brothers, Build Team, etc). As did Beast Wars. Maybe we're just spoiled by the A/E/C toy sizes.
