You know i just don't understand some people, i mean everyone wants a certain Transformer produced or made and Hasbro and Takara comes through for us from time to time. And then yes we're glad they made it, but its not up too par, like not enough articulation, the wrong weapon(s) or just the wrong damn color, the wrong size, the list goes on and on. And now we have Ultra Magnus in the right colors, and in the right G1 colors that i remember back from the 80s, but yet people are really tearing this mold apart cause now UM is too white and too plain? I mean i use to have a G1 UM as a kid yes i loved the armor he came with, but hell have of the time i didnt put it on him, i just like him white and looked great with OP and the other autobots. And even someone said that UM dropped his armor in the comics and he is all white in there too? All i can say is, yes i have the classics version of this mold and its pretty good, but for me i'd rather have one close to the G1 version as possible so ill keep mine on pre-order and i will say that he will a nice edition to the Autobot Team.

I love the pure white apperance. Sure it's a lot of white, but it is Ultra Magnus. It's something I might get especialy with a city commander/trailer add on! To bad my 2012 budget is already set to complete the Prime and WfC/FoC lines

There is a saying I have that goes, "When you cannot look past your own views on things, then you are not seeing the whole world as it is." Meaning that when it comes to preferences and beliefs, not everybody looks past their own.

Myself, I am constantly contemplating on adding/seeking characters and series that may fit what I am going for when it comes to my collection. But even then, I always try to keep my preferences separate from my opinion on items. Because I personally like series-accurate reissues, while others prefer the vintage sets.

As for this item - and the fact I brought up the comic - I hear you on the subject. Currently, I have justified myself on not ordering it (yet) as I am wondering if they will have it be a Henkei! piece or not. If it is a Henkei! piece, then I might even though I am not sure how I would feel having him instead of of trying to obtain Skyfire.

So yeah... I'll stop right there since this is making me rethink the idea of seeking out Supreme Commanders that also existed between Fight! to Headmasters, since I am already collecting/seeking other Cybertron Commanders. And the idea kinda hurts my brain more than it does my wallet, BTW.

These photos have just cemented my personal (before anyone gets holier-than-thou) belief that this is a superb-looking figure. I love the simplicity of it, the pure white is stunning and much more like the G1 figure of old. The only thing stopping this figure being perfect is the lack of faction symbols in alt mode, but my trusty Reprolabels will soon fix that. This is my favourite deco of the Classics Prime mould by a country mile, and I can't wait to own it

I know it's more g1 accurate, but the all white looks really bad. To me it looks like someone did a home repaint with white out.

The original UM was all white with the exception of the silver strip decal.

You're not the only one who thought his Classics Magnus had yellowed. As a matter of fact his plastic colors were never truly white, closer to being cream, but looks whitish under certain lights.

I'll stick with the more G1-accurate release, but I felt like giving him his UM armor.

Well, I'll be darn! It looks like they did the smart move by making it a UNITED figure, and not trying to revive their Henkei! Henkei! line!

But seriously, though... I am going to pass simply because it is part of the UNITED line. And even if it was not, I'd still have to pass on it. There is one Encore piece I now plan to seek for my Headmasters collection, and another I plan to preorder.

That, and I am seriously hoping that they are not going to abandon their Cybertron/Destron lineage.
