The issue of Slag/Slug came up and I wanted to point out that Borderlands 2 came out shortly after FoC and it too was released in the UK and they did not change their Slag weapons to Slug weapons. So, What does High Moon have to say to THAT!?
"Slag to Slug" was most likely a Hasbro mandate since it's a name that would appear in things beyond the video game. Should they made a toy of Slug, UK children would be buying a toy whose name is slur word if Hasbro had left it as "Slag".
It'd be no different if Hasbro made a Transformers toy named "Whore" in the U.S. They can't use those kinds of name without causing trouble.
Besides, FOC has a weapon called a "Slagmaker" (cannon, I think?). In that case, it's a name that, like the Borderlands 2 Slag weapons, most likely will remain in the game and will not be applied to children's merchandise. Therefore, it's usable in that regard.
If you've read Exodus, wanna read the War For Cybertron comic? PM me.
